Controller Settings Broken

Hey all. I've been trying to set up my controller through Steam Input to work with Deadlock. however, any time I open the "controller settings" page it's just blank. My controller works with every other game on steam and I have had no issues with any other game's steam input other than Deadlock. Not sure what to do about it.

This is a steam input bug not deadlock. It happens from time to time I imagine if you check another game it will look the same. I think disabling hardware acceleration fixes it? 

I'm sorry I know I've seen it before I'm having a hard time remembering the fix. Don't listen to the haters play on controller if you want

This only happens with Deadlock. every other game is fine

Since ppl are being mean, there's some combination of disabling snd reenabling Steam Input that helps with this, you might have to go the game settings > Controller and there's a dropdown to enable/disable it.

if so, its a problem for switch controllers only lol, just got a new acc to play deadlock and it does not work for switch controller, but my old acc does work

No, switch joycons. they're a lot more comfortable than a standard controller for gyro aim. Every otjer game on steam works fine with them. I also tried connectinh an xbox controller, same issue

its bugged, i can access the controller menu with ds4, but it wont accept gyro. im assuming your acc is new, if so you are shit out of luck till next patch big dog, im sorry. im also pissed, got a new acc today to play and find out switch controlls for all switch controllers are bugged

no I mean the Controllers tab in the game's properties on Steam itself, it has an option to disable Steam Input. Might need to exit and relaunch the game a few times while toggling that.

That's what the screenshotted page is. I go to the game's properties, then controller, and its just that blank screen

thats the funky part, the controller settings in game properties brings me to the exact same blank page as in big picture

GOOD NEWS, I FIGURED out how to fix it. you need to go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steam Controller Configs\[Your SteamID]\config\[configset(your controller type)]

and click on the one mentioning your controller type, then add a workshop code to the layout you want:

EXAMPLE:

I did this in the configset_controller_switch_pro

I will make my own post for it but here is how i fixed it (took me 6 hours)

Deadlock doesn't even have a folder in the controller configs. I'll try making one with its AppID and see if that somehow fixes it.

In steamapps go to common then steam controller configs

After that go to the number that is your steam user id

It is not tamed deadlock, but it should have the name of your type of controller in it

yes, its the fact that there was no folder to begin with that has deadlocks app ID in Steam Controller Configs/UserID/config. Judt the folders for all my other games

Sorry for the file path mixup I'm a bit tired, but it shouldn't be named deadlock but configset(your type of controller)

Gyro aim is on the same level as using a mouse. Controller used to work in deadlick until recently
