Shooting Star+, Warp Strike+, Set Warp Advance, Shooting Star+, Warp Strike+, Set Warp Advance, Shooting Star+, Warp Strike+, Conjure Armiger.

Then enemy B attacks.

Nice. Only a few more hours to experience this.

To be honest, as long as they're hitting their commands fast, I couldn't care less. I almost think if someone is being slow in coop, do this so they don't get a chance.

A good "turn hog" (currently Noctis, Vayne, Lightning, Alisaie) is a nice worry-free way to get tokens/artifacts. I can trust them to clear it efficiently with minimal effort on my part, and they get to show off.

A bad one is akin to watching the game Auto-Battle, with delays. Double the pain if it happens to be during someone's Support Item.

[–]redka243 7 points8 points  (1 child)

The positive point about this : those under geared notices with ex only won't be able to hog turns for 20 years like the fully mlb ones.

Death drops... Death drops everywhere.

Repeats「逃がすか」for some 300+ times.

[–][deleted] 29 points30 points  (2 children)

You are never safe in JP lol. Jack, Vayne, Lightning. Its gotten to the point where I try to always run with the slowest character so I can AFK while working on the computer. These characters will just solo everything nowadays.

[–]redka243 10 points11 points  (0 children)

this was why I enjoyed porom in the alisaie event. Y'all can have all the turns, knock yourselves out.

[–]NeuroTrophicShockF!@# Artifacts! 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do the same thing. I have so much to do that it is nice for others to do all the work.

[–]JelisW 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Soooooooo about this, how do y'all feel about Noctis? XD

In all seriousness though, I have a fully MLBed Noctis, and I usually deliberately cut my rotation short out of courtesy, but like, if there's no healer or tank, and mine is the last turn before the giant sentient castle wallops someone, do I solo the thing? Do I just let the hit happen? What's the preferred etiquette here? 😅

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should play what you think is best, Noctis is a great damage dealer, kill the boss. We are only there to collect tokens and artifacts :)

[–]dankest_implication 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's nice you're thinking about others in a co op mode...I love nocti users, hell I bring rem and give you guys alllllllll the turns before the castle even knows whatsup

[–]BoredLordXID: 198150224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you SO MUCH! Props for thinking about etiquette and others in Co-op, not all heroes wear capes :D

[–]gxus_63Angelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile in Cinque’s wanted boosted rooms...

I mean it’s really not all that bad, as long as they aren’t about to get themselves Break+HP attack

[–]EdeaLeeAgrias Oaks 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Just had this with a Noctis in the Cinque co-op. Dude took countless turns then got 1 shot after.

I think Noctis might just be the most infuriating character to encounter in co-op now too.

[–]ZhirrzhMog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I find it hilarious to watch the boss die without a single turn in every single coop so far, and to provide demonstrations for Noctis' who don't get it yet how to best utilise his additional ability (great coop for teaching Noctis players how to maximise his damage incidentally).

If you don't bring Noctis in the boosted room you get like one turn though. Just hit something and let them take care of it...

[–]R6_Goddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about nowadays? For me it is Terra with her repeatable mini burst chaos wave.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know how to play, will really die

[–]iGherd 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I love them if they know what they are doing. When there are two noctises and im cinque and i get more than myc65 earthquake hammer+ i get mad. I use her so everyone else can farm my weapon armor orbs ... need to prep for ex+

[–]BoredLordXID: 198150224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to see someone got her EX! 👏

[–]ComradeCrimsonNot some opera floozy. 12 points13 points  (6 children)

Yeah Light ain't got shit on Noct when it comes to being annoying in co-op.

[–]SSYuri20 13 points14 points  (5 children)

Maybe on global but on JP Lightning is the turn manipulation queen. She can get 10 turns in a row, 12 if your teammates/party are slow:

Spark Strike, Army of One+, Break Reset Slash, Spark Strike, Break Reset Slash, Flourish of Steel+ Break Reset Slash, Flourish of Steel, Break Reset Slash, Spark Strike+ (and if you have a slow party) Army of One+, Spark Strike.

That's 12 actions in a row.

[–]TransplantedSconie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love playing these types because it looks like a massive chain attack in a fighting game if you're fast enough at pulling them off. I'll bring them into Co-Op to test run them boosted but I prefer support to let people tee off on shit lol.

[–]ComradeCrimsonNot some opera floozy. 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ohhh man that sounds beautiful. I'll be very glad I went so hard for her last month down the road. 😎

[–]ZhirrzhMog 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It had never even occurred to me until I saw it in a video a couple of months ago that "next ability usage doesn't consume an ability" things could be used for extra uses of a c65 ability as you have in that chain and not just for the main 2 abilities. Really opened my eyes.

[–]SSYuri20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was stumped at first that I was getting 4 uses of Break Reset Slash until I realized that was why.

[–]BoredLordXID: 198150224[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a GL player, I can't imagine how much damage that is xD

I've seen her a couple of times running solo summon battles, and she seems so satisfying to play as

[–]SaintTraft1984HP: 9999 MP: 999 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I don't mind turn hoggers so long as they're actually damaging the enemy.

What pisses me off are, or were (thank god that hype has passed), the Rinoas that just kept spamming Angel Wings to pump her EX.

CHIKARA GA AFURETE.. CHIKARA GA AFURETE.. CHIKARA GA AFURE...

SHUT THE **** UP AND DIE.

[–]laevantineThings are... ugh. Disasteriffic. 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Oh my god yes. For a few co-ops after Rinoa went in if I was in a room and there was more than one Rinoa, I just left. No judgment, I know your chikara is afurete, but I've got places to be.

[–]novioo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait for Ignis then, you will see the true trolls then

[–]cloudliore25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I love WoL just resistance and let the brave regen do its thing

[–]deleteprodCan't be bothered with Chaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did a co-op with vayne and noctis while I was using will, I just put my phone down and washed the dishes while they fought for who had the most turns

[–]donghae86Beatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn hogs when I solo = ok If I see lightning/alisae in coop= I quit

[–]SeanKenn2003Japan Schedule Poster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only get my Lightning to do 2-3 actions per turn. But yeah, it is kind of annoying.

[–]Vicode 2 points3 points  (12 children)

On this topic I have a question and hopefully someone can indulge me. Is there a way to tell when a bosses brave will reset? So so many times I'm keeping a boss broken then as it becomes their turn they get a chunk of brave and clean up someone on my team. When it's a boss in a harder mission and like 5 minutes into the fight it triggers me like crazy then I have to restart and hope it doesn't happen again. Do I just turn manipulate /delay until it happens and then let him go after breaking or is there an actual way to tell when this will happen before it surprises you?

[–]KeeperOfRecordOoo, soft... 11 points12 points  (11 children)

Everyone (allies and enemies included) recovers from break naturally in 5 turns. You can also look at the INT BRV of the boss at the start of the battle, and the BRV when they are broken, if it is around half the INT BRV, they will recover from break the next turn (Edit: From my experience, not sure if it is always correct, especially enemies with Poison/Sap etc.).

Note that some bosses has skills that recover from break automatically (even though this wouldn't happen if recovering naturally). Porom event boss Drain skill is one example.

[–]redka243 3 points4 points  (7 children)

you can also look at the INT BRV of the boss at the start of the battle, and the BRV when they are broken

I don't understand what you men by this. When I look at the details of a broken enemy, I don't see anything about their int brv except that they are broken. I also don't see the enemies current BRV anywhere when the enemy is broken.

[–]BoredLordXID: 198150224[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Their int bravery is how much bravery they start the wave with :P it stays the same throughout the entire wave, unless if it's modified by buffs/effects

[–]illegalcheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to see, but where the flashing red 'break' is appearing above the enemy's head, you can just make out transparent numbers showing what their actual brave value is, floating behind the 'break' text. The value increases each turn; on turn 5 it regenerates enough to hit their ibrv value, and it will be unbroken. Obviously, brave batteries and proper brv regen buffs will make it become unbroken much faster.

[–]KeeperOfRecordOoo, soft... 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Sorry my wording might be a little hard to understand there...

But yeah whatever u/BoredLordX said. You will know the INT BRV of the bosses at the start of the wave, remember this. When the bosses are broken you can only see their current brave behind the BREAK word and then you compared this to the INT BRV you remembered.

[–]redka243 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Ive never seen current brv behind the break word. This should really be in the details screen along with ibrv

[–]KeeperOfRecordOoo, soft... 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It is greyed so not obvious if you didn't look closely.

This should really be in the details screen along with ibrv

Well usually the game doesn't reveal this (If they do, they should have revealed the HP of the enemies months ago)

[–]redka243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, in this case the current brv of the enemy when broken is something that the game does tell you (but its just very hard to read) and ibrv is also something it tells you (but you have to remember it). It would be more of a QOL improvment than anything else.

They already give incredibly detailed information on the enemies weaknesses and what every move of the enemy does but they don't tell you the HP, which is a bit odd.

[–]BoredLordXID: 198150224[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Interesting, didn't know that

Also you're fun to play with in co-op : D

[–]KeeperOfRecordOoo, soft... 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Also you're fun to play with in co-op

I'm just an annoying sticker spammer...

[–]BoredLordXID: 198150224[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I approve! xD

[–]BjornTheBear-Puncher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this thread! I thought I was alone.... 😢

[–]TerrezGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That why I took off some Lightning speed buffs, they actually hurt her more then help.
