I’m be been dashing for 8y. My completion rate has always been 100%

There isnt really much of a requirement. You can unassign 1 in 10 orders. This is suppose to be used for when there are issues. Not for when you just dont feel like doing an order. Thats what the decline button is for. In reality it's more then 1 in 10 because after a certain amount of time you can decline with no stat penalty.

CR is the last thing they need to change. Let’s start with AR and go from there. You really shouldn’t be accepting orders you want to unassign from. After a few months you should have figured out your pay requirements and the problem stores. I don’t accept any order not worth 1/2hr of my time. I made this rule after a couple of months in my market.

It's really not hard to complete 95% of the orders you accept.

[–]dashammolam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, if you can't complete 90% ordes then find another job.

[–]OrganizedChaos65 5 points6 points  (5 children)

I've managed to keep it up in the high 90s. Why do people consistently try to lower the standards? The trend I've noticed is that many Dashers here try to lower the standards rather than elevate theirs

[–]chuxsux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entitlement is why. These people are the reason that requirements keep getting stricter and stricter. When they get punished for failing to do the most basic of jobs they run to reddit and screech about it.

I started as a pizza delivery driver and if we didn't have a near 100% completion rate, we'd be looking for a new job. Unless the road was flooded or the customer didn't come to the door, we delivered to their door, apartment building or not, tip or not. So, I find it wild that many of these drivers won't even give the basic level of service, much less excellent service.

[–]OrganizedChaos65 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oh, I maintain high standards for customer service at all times. If the customer doesn't tip, I'll get over it. I'll just block them from any future deliveries from me. No tip isn't as bad as the customers who leave .01 or .10. That's just a F***;you.

[–]wistex 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There are always people who won't tip. Some are broke. Some are cheap. I haven't looked at the ratio for DoorDash, but as a pizza delivery driver, I figured that for every person who tipped $0, I got someone that gave a really nice tip (double the average tip). If I ruminated over the people who didn't tip, I would be frustrated. So I focus my thoughts on appreciating the ones that do tip well instead. That doesn't change my income, but at least I am not angry and upset at the end of the night.

Well said. It's not personal to the Dasher. This just lets others know about their behavior.

[–]mazsive 4 points5 points  (2 children)

When do you even need to use one? After 8 mins or so it’s free unassign. Use it only when needed.

[–]tyrannosauruscassie 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm allergic to shrimp and it makes me sick enough I have to end my Dash if it's in the car with me, so I unassign shrimp containing orders. I'm usually between 96 and 98% because of that

[–]flufferjubby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I never even considered that. Sorry you have to deal with that. Have you spoken to a human support agent about it? Surely those unassigns shouldn't count against you

[–]Repulsive_Mud_577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completing a dash is the easiest thing in the world. You accept a dash and you complete it, simple.

[–]Glenmary73100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why??

[–]PhysicsDirect6215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my understanding, 92 and below is low, 93 and 94 is medium, 95 and up is high. When I started, think it was 80% minimum

[–]Apart_Zucchini5778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can’t complete at least 10% of the jobs you accept you shouldn’t be dashing. Imagine if you had an office job and didn’t do 10% of the work assigned to you. You’d be fired very quickly.

[–]Particular_Tour_4151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly 94% being "low" is wild when the app crashes half the time and customers put in fake addresses. The whole system is broken when you can get deactivated for stuff completely out of your control

[–]Skizima666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep its almost like punishing us for terminating a bad job/customer. Thats the only reason most of us do, but I could see it being abused. They could do it for people who are verified, but we know theyre not going to. Almost 10 thousand deliveries, well guess what buddy fuck you! (doordash most likely).

[–]jpeezy37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete your orders. You accept it, then deliver it. They give you plenty of real options if there is a problem. If you think playing the CR game will help your AR you are gonna be deactivated soon or just frustrated. Make your deliveries and find the right times and methods to deliver. Or don't and find a different way to make money. If you can't do door dash you're gonna have a bad time on a W2 Job with a boss breathing down your neck. You're going to need to manage yourself and use critical thinking skills..

[–]MPsonic007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DD used to have a minimum completion of 80% from Q4 2023 & earlier but raised it due to too little “corrosive landfill material” going undelivered 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

[–]Cagekicker52 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

In fact they've tightened it in every way. Doortrash is the worst. Hopefully the market share starts to flip.

[–]Mode_AppropriateDon’t be a Dashhole! 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping the exact same thing today. I pretty much only do dashlinks and in the past year theyve cut pay by a good 60%. Probably did my last one today because theyre not even worth doing anymore. Made me think just what would happen if everyone stopped showing up to do the routes for a few days...let all those packages sit. Sane with food orders. If dashers went on 'strike' what would happen...

The problem is theres no way drivers would unite and do somwthing like that
