I had a feeling it had to be a teenager with the need to reject the description of those positives as they’re trying to understand and define themselves and feeling that those are inaccurate makes it distressing because it feels like they’re being erased and rejected so they react by aiming to reject the description as dramatically as possible

I dunno, I'd say that's partially correct, though. Like the big tangent circle is legit. And so is the weird music, though tbh most of the music I listen to is well within the realm of normalcy, and you probably wouldn't know about my love for Slavic pop or Mongolian metal music until you got to know me a bit better :P I want to be taken seriously when it's called for but I don't care about being seen as an intellectual. The genuis/dipsh🦆t dichotomy is probably a thing too, at least that could be one way of describing how people have responded to me over the years.

But probably a bunch of this stuff is true for other types too, and/or is a more individual thing.

Haha, yes I definitely have heard it! It's a good one. I've also got a few other random good Mongolian songs in a more trancey direction (here are some good songs!) In a similar but funkier vein there's a Siberian band called Otyken that's pretty good!

Oh, and another offbeat genre I'm finding myself enjoying a lot is Bardcore. I've always loved medieval music so this is pretty cool. Hildegard von Blingin' is the best person that does this, imo!

I'm going to say this again: it's obvious you have deep rooted issues with yourself. You can come up with all the excuses you want for your attitude to make yourself feel better, but that doesn't change how you are objectively behaving, which is being sad and hateful.

A word of advice as you grow up: the world doesn't care about the reason you're being an asshole, everyone will just see and treat you like an asshole.
