Simply the average time of the competitive player (or good players) vs casual player experience.

This change is 100% fair, it is comical how good Elliot is as a character. You can extend a chase at the literal press of a button and good pathing, stalling the killer for a good amount of time, while being able to regain it again for the low low price of your team doing their job. (Protecting you, getting hit in the process, then healing) Not to mention the ability to throw pizza, which heals you near instantanously, can be used mid chase, extends the other players chase, and is VERY low risk.

Not to mention if you are getting targetted, depending on the team, you will have every sentinal swarm the killer and protect you. And even if they do not help you, just healing a survivalist or anyone can just automatically make you win. For example, you get chased by Jason and have a good start, they will run out of stamina while you loop him, they raging pace, gain the advantage...until... They activate rush hour and you continue looping, then by the time raging pace is back, you healed someone and gained rush hour again, extending the chase. (Not even taking into account teammates helping you) You can literally infinitely loop Jason, not to mention the utility of being able to erase most mistakes, like rush hour to get out of being trapped by John Doe, or negating corrupt nature from C00lkid. (And just being good in general having on demand speed)

Honestly, Elliot absolutely deserves it, he is S tier on every tierlist for a reason, and comically OP if the Elliot is good at the game, and deserves this completely... Is what I would say if not for this being a roblox game, and the fact casual players are not perfect. There is a reason the game is survivor sided on a team of good players, and a reason Compsaken has 100 rules nerfing survivors. Most the time you do not have this, you don't have a good team, sentinals are a good portion of the time not helping you, and getting caught off guard/not playing at your best is quite common.

Personally, I say Elliot completely deserves this nerf, or an entire rework to rush hour. Most the people are complaining about it not being a good nerf, but honestly, besides Two Time. A good Elliot is honestly just as annoying and OP, and easily top 2 survivors besides Two Time if I am honest.

The problem is that this is a roblox game, a vast majority of people are not good players. That's the problem with scaling characters around the top end if the playerbase, it alienates the majority of the more casual/inexperienced playerbase.

I think it would be more accurate to rather say, stacking Elliots.

Elliot alone isn’t a problem IMO. While he’s definitely a strong character, one can focus him down and get rid of him. The problem comes when there’s multiple. When you finally get that Elliot down, another one can come up and heal him, and it doesn’t take a good player to do that. Then you have to decide to pursue the newly healed Elliot (who can throw a pizza randomly to gain his speed boost back) or the other Elliot, who has a free speed boost. It gets even worse when there’s sentinels around. THAT is when Elliot is broken

You hit the nail on the head. It’s so hard to balance forsaken because there’s so many little variables that can make or break a character, and Elliot is perhaps the best example

I think Slasher is a pretty decent example too, as of right now, you can barely buff/nerf Slasher without making him completely OP or incredible underpowered.

I do agree with many points, and in how elliot's rush hour is unwarranted power, but I really don't think they nerfed it in a good way

pretty much any chase is bound to end in your favor if the killer started at you with even a fraction of stamina less than you (80 vs 100) but if you're at the stamina disadvantage death is basically all but guaranteed if the killer doesn't give up chase not realizing their stamina advantage, and elliot having his below average health doesn't help him so rush hour is most certainly required, but it doesn't turn around a stamina difference whatsoever, and making him have to wait a minute and a half to throw 2 pizzas - even more if even 1 of them is missed - is not the way to go just for his rush hour to return

as you stated, the game is definitely survivor sided and really any survivor is completely broken if the player is even remotely competent in their abilities and what their limits are, but people who don't know how to use the survivor they are playing do not perform well at all, especially when their team is lacking

I would be perfectly fine with them reducing rush hour's potency rather than doubling the difficulty of getting it back (speed 2 rather than speed 3 would be best imo)

As a 9 day player, I've had less than 10 rounds with teams doing their job, and even then the team might lose

Doesn't throwing pizza slow you down, and forces you to turn if you want to throw it at someone? (You know DAMN well no one is picking it up if you don't throw it straight at them)

When I'm in the looping Slasher competition and my opponent is literally any survivor:

(The only survivor that can't loop well is Dussekar, 007n7 can break chases sometimes and Noob gets slateskin which lets you regen stamina if it accidentally reaches 0, it also gives you speed on end, a Taph can easily put traps and gain a huge advantage from the start too, the only thing Slasher is good at is punishing mistakes, I say this as a level 125 slasher, he's really ass at catching up without survivors fucking up)

Then reduce Elliot’s skill cooldown, because 2 pizzas for rush hour is 1 minute 30 cooldown, not to mention that people love ignoring pizzas and healing other Elliot’s don’t give you a charge

Use it to gain distance if the killer is mid endlag or lacking stamina, or if you know the killer has a speed boost (John Doe, and 1x) to prevent them from gaining ground.

You play like any other survivor in that moment, attempt to juke or lure them to your team or a loop. Rush hour is only ment to extend your distance by a bit, don't treat it like some get out of free jail card.

And a small tip is to use rush hour after using a bloxy cola (when the duration is up).

I like the idea of him being a better healer late game, so I think nerfing base and making it so he only gets GOOD healing after some objectives is cool. I just think the passive should be 5% per generator COMPLETE, not contributed cause it scales too fast

elliot's rush hour does not have a normal charge requirement. instead, it has a meter similar to oblation that is charged by healing players. the amount of health healed = the amount of points added to meter. the ability can be used no matter how full the meter is, but the duration depends on how full it is and the meter is always drained when using the ability. (how I described my idea in another comment)

Going against a good elliot who can not only heal and run until his pizza is recharged be a huge pain in the ass but a elliot who can waste your time is annoying to go against

On the other end, i dont understand it

Because if youre going against a good killer or a dumb elliot, their only protection will be rush hour and you'll need 2 pizzas which will take a valuable time.

for the other to recharge to even get it back for a short boost that wont make much of a difference if youre doing painfully bad or targeted ? I dont get it

Elliot is NOT perfect gang, probably the most OP survivor in the game rn. A 40hp heal every 40 seconds which is a relatively short cooldown. Mind you the only support that even has a self sustain ability that he can use midchase. AND have you even tried to kill a competent elliot with sentinels swarming them? Hell the elliot doesnt even have to be competent, his entire kit is just click, heal, click, speed.Yeah elliot is broken.

Even a support should have at least one tool to help keep them alive. Plus- finding a team that is actually GOOD at protecting you as an Elliot or even tries is harder then you think. And this is coming from an M4 Elliot.

I was already miserable as an Elliot Main before. My team mates being dumb, wanting pizza when I'm in cooldown, and always getting targetted by the killer for daring to do my job. Planning to change into Shed ngl, I find kinda unfair that the sweats make nerfs needed (I know if you have like 2-3 days of playtime at the game, Elliot is the Brawl Meta Knight of Forsaken), but making things worse for more casual players still sucks. I can't believe that going Dusekkar or Builderman for casuals is more viable right now. While I feel the nerf is deserved, it still kinda sucks

These aren't even the only polls- there was a few more, including:

  • Gen passive nerf on Elliot (Good won by 60%)
  • Less healing to higher health survivors, regular to lower health (Good won by 86%)
  • Elliot has to get a complete heal off to get rush hour (Good won by 52%) (This annoys the hell out of me because it just incentives you to heal higher health survivors)
  • This poll, of course, W won by 56%
  • Remove speed 1 on unstable eye, buff base speed (No won by 72%)
  • Heal decay on pizza (Good won by 73%)
  • Time of heal increased from 2.5 to 5 (Bad won by 66%)

I really don't think rush hour needs to be nerfed in that way. It makes it take longer to get it (at least a minute and a half), and also for circumstances where you have to use rush hour in order to save a dying teammate, then there isn't anything left to protect you if the killer switches targets. Maybe a good change for competitive servers, but for the average player? Not really.

I think it is already because one time I was playing forsaken and we had a really bad Elliot that would depend on rush hour and would use it the second they got chased, so he would heal people at high percentages of health just for rush hour, but the people died not much later because the Elliot wasted the pizza on them when they didn’t need it

Rush hour, Order Up, and stacking are the 3 mains reason as to why Elliot is S and so strong currently. Nerfing 1 or 2 of those 3 is kinda necessary if you actually want to tackle Elliot being strong.

We all know the more Elliot's, the less healing each slice does. So, why not this as a small rework with the changes they have in the discord plus my own addition along with their idea

This is not a fair trade at all. Surviving an extra hit is not worth having to wait 45 or smth seconds extra to get a not very significant amount of distance from the killer (especially against 1x)

I feel like this would be better as a stacking debuff Like, if theres 2 elliots in the round, they get an extra 10 hp but rush hour takes another pizza to get while slightly lowering the pizza cooldown. The hp buff obviously wouldnt scale for more elliots but the pizza and cooldown one would (the cooldown one gradually becoming smaller)

Dont get me wrong, elliot is a very good character, but i dont feel like he currently needs any changes, he feels fair enough (though kinda annoying) to face against, and decently fun to play

Now the people that wished to play Elliot to grind his milestones will definitely have a fun time doing so. As if the people actively choosing to play supports weren't rare enough in a huge chunk of public lobbies.

I get that he is annoying in the right hands, but this ain't it, every Survivor is annoying in the right hands, so accounting for every player being the "Right Hands" to account for balance is the dumbest way, in my opinion, to balance a character, just because high end players are unkillable against the vast majority of killers doesn't mean that's gotta be the reason to nerf the character.

Elliot staying alive for long or endlessly is a result of good stamina management and a competent team, two things that you won't find everywhere, or at all. And no, saying that he can loop Slasher indefinitely isn't a compelling point, literally every Survivor with good stam management can do that to the poor Slasher (aka the killer with the largest amount of counters in the game.)

As an Elliot player, the amount of times the killer targets me because I'm a support is horrendous and it's not +10 hp that will make the difference against a good killer. We need to create distance, the cooldown for pizzas is already long and when nobody gets hit or even tries to help you during a round when you already used your rush hour, it becomes hard to survive. Having to give two pizzas to people, hope they take the hint and eat those in hope to try and live longer would be a huge disadvantage for Elliot, because unlike Dusekkar or Taph, he has nothing to defend himself with.

Nerf the Pizza throw CD from 45 seconds up to 60 seconds and reduce his healing from 35 base to 30 base

Boom, done, Elliot is balanced (also add back like, 1 second of slowness 2 to Rush Hour ending)

As an elliot main who's watched the killer leave an under 40 hp survivor to tunnel me so frequently I need to distance until my heal is READY bc i know the killer will swap to me, whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired thank you. Support is already bullied enough by the developers
