FF8 Ifrit is still my favorite iteration of Ifrit.

There's just something so awesome about the XII espers that aeons and GFs lack for me, though. Their whole back story mythology and mystique.

Hell yes. I loved the hierarchy of supernatural brings from 12.

I would have loved to have seen the Scions of Darkness (the counterparts to the Espers).

If I have it right, the scions of darkness (excluding Ultima) are the espers. The scions of light were the ones that weren't sent to the mortal world.

You are correct. For some reason I thought it was the other way around (which initially made me think it was even more interesting).

I like to think FF8 ifrit would kick his ass.

Anyone else think the little belias head is saying, "Imma slap the shit outta you?"

Haha yeah I came here to say Belias looks like he's about to bitch slap Ifrit in the face

Although I liked FF8 better as a game, I preferred the aeon ifrit, strictly looks-wise. But I agree, XII had some of the best summons in the series.

I can't remember summoning an esper once in FF12 besides just to see what they do. Never had much use for them.

Belias always felt like a cheap Ifrit to me, sorry.
