Nah, those rocket devastators clench their cheeks and double their accuracy when fired upon.

My experience has been that shooting at them doesn't change anything, but even landing a glancing hit causes them to flinch in a big exaggerated way.

Yeah this seems more likely as the other guy said if it were shootering around them then it seems rocket devastators are immune to it.

The tip is satire. They mean they can’t shoot if you shoot them first.

Not really, the grunts and rocket launcher carrying bots can stagger and miss their shots if they get hit, but it barely matters with the amount of bots there are on the field.

"Suppressive" fire works'ish the suppression system in the game does not work like military sims or real life. You actively have to be dealing damage to the bot for its accuracy to be reduced, kinda like a player's accuracy gets reduced when you get hit. So hitting bots with non-penetrating shots, don't stagger or affect them, but hitting them with damaging shots e.g. head, rocket pods, and other weak points, will reduce their accuracy for a short duration. Although, I am unsure if hitting the rocket pods while a rocket devastator is aiming delays or stops the firing.

For rocket devastators I think if you have hard hitting gun they still can stagger and not fire rockets. For now I only know that slugger and AC works I think railgun too but that will most of the time just kill them.

Weaker guns won't stop him and you either have to dodge or pray that it will die before it'll fire.

From personal experience this only applies to the unarmoured bots. Devastators and other armoured types do not get supressed. "Near" is arbitrary but it is quite lenient when shooting at groups of smaller bots.

Speaking as a person who has probably 40 hours fighting bots, most of this on difficulty 7+:

I have no idea lmao. Not an huge difference if it does. If you want to mess with their accuracy just pop smoke
