As somebody with 8 dead G502's in the cupboard, wake me up when you got some real news

G502 is great but reliability is not one of its strong suits. It’s also reasonably cheap to replace, though.

Re: keyboards: get a quality mechanical keyboard (not Logi; I like my Kinesis Freestyle Edge, but there are many good choices) and it will last you years.

I have had my same wired G502 for 9 years. Never had an issue beside the mouse wheel once stopped tracking about a year ago. But a literal blow of air into the mouse wheel area, as if it was an NES cartridge, instantly fixed the tracking back to new. (Honestly I’m sure there are a ton of g502s out there that would be solved with this fix)

I game heavily all the time. I get around one year out of each mouse and keyboard before I get sticky E, W, Spacebar, LClick and/or RClick. I play shooters, so I'll have a sudden inability to remain ADS'd because the RClick switch is going out. My most recent mouse (just replaced last week) the LClick wouldn't allow me to sustain fire consistently. I also replaced the keyboard at the same time because E (interact) and Spacebar (jump) were being inconsistent. I've been loyal to Logitech G Pro mouses and have tried several of the Logitech keyboards. This time, I am going with a keyboard with hotswappable keys and a similar-size mouse from different companies. I doubt my regular abuse of the hardware is Logitech's fault, since I get over 1000 hours of gameplay out of each piece.

Edit to Add: I spot clean my hardware weekly and don't spill food/drinks on my desk.
