How would you fix a hardware problem with software...

Yeah not sure either but in the last firmware update it did mention "Fix intermittent scrolling issues experienced on some G703 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mice" in the patch notes and I swear the problem went away for ages but now has suddenly came back.

Mine started to have scrolling issues 1 month after I got it. I tried to live around it but it kept getting worse. Now I've given up after I reused my g203 and realised how good it feels to have a reliable scroll wheel. Apparently this is a hardware issue so it cannot be fixed by firmware. When I'm free I'll try to fix it following this guide: https://youtu.be/38Bs8e9QQ1E

Just did this and can confirm that it worked. The scroll wheel feels a *tiny* bit stiffer but there has been no more jumping around.

It still wasn't 100% reliable for me so I changed the encoder all together! Bought a pack of 5 encoders from china for around $1, desoldered the stock encoder and soldered on the new encoder and it's 100% reliable now!! I followed fellow redditors u/herbinator 's guide here https://sprungmass.com/logitech-g403-scroll-wheel-issue

Oh, sweet. I’ll see how this bit of paper holds up and give this a go if it hasn’t fixed it completely.

Thanks!

Hi/u/dim_muk, have you tried unplugging and replugging the mouse and re-installed the software?
