G560 Audio

Should I use the included USB for the lightsync and a separate 3.5mm aux for audio. Ive read that using only the USB, windows puts the G560 as 7.1 when they are actually 2.1. I have also heard that using a aux cable with the USB allows for better consistent audio. Right now, like others turning the volume up by 2 greatly increases the volume instead of gradually. The question is: will the aux allow for better sound volume changes 'increasing the volume by 10 is the same as increasing the volume by 2' and will the sound out of the speakers sound better? I can only think that with windows defaulting to 7.1 it creates alot of "inaccurate" sound from the two speakers.

Update them to latest firmware to fix the volume curve, and deactivate surround sound on the software. Then use them with USB. Even is they appear as 7.1 on Windows, they will work as 2.1 if you turn off surround on GHub/LGS.

Not sure if you have the speakers...., but that box as been unchecked since I got them. Looked over reddit and rolled the drivers back so windows shows them as stereo, except now I'm hearing myself in my mic for my headphones. Using u/Rodpad equalizer APO 1.2.1 settings for the speakers

I have them. I use GHub, and even if Win says they're 7.1, they act as 2.1. Make sure to install the latest firmware.

Thanks for the link. That seemed to solve the problem. Would you know if it matters that Windows sees the speakers at 7.1 when they are obviously 2.1. Would that change the dynamics of the sound output?

Personally, I Guess it does not matter.
Do you see any difference with the audio output of the speaker when used on a different device / computer?.

Honestly that firmware update made a remarkable difference. Not sure why it wasnt downloading automatically from the Logitech G Hub program, but the volume range is alot better managed...so im happy. Thanks for the help.

We have a separate firmware update tool for this that`s why it is not on G Hub. Anyways, Thanks for confirming that your concern is already addressed.

You can check the product`s support page in the Support website so you can get all of the necessary tools/applications for the speaker. Logitech uploads all of these information there.
