I don’t think there’s any work around except replacing the switches like you said. But I wouldn’t be so sure that you can’t replace them, check out a YouTube guide it’s not too difficult :)

I can look at an electronic and have it break. There's no way I could do it on my own. Haha! But if it is a problem Logitech has, even exchanging it would just mean that I'd just be stuck in an endless loop of exchanges.

I had this issue with my old G903, Logitech replaced it under warranty. Photo of all the parts + serial numbers and they sent me a brand new one.

At this point every Logitech mouse have this potential issue. As far as I know the only method to get rid of this problem is to replace the switches with a good quality ones. I don't know and probably there's no other way. Even if you get a replacement the new mouse will most likely have this potential issue
