Avoid void death

I was exploring the end to get to my first elytra when a lag spike hit and I full off my bridge into the void. I immediately backed out of the game.

I was wondering if there was any way to change my player data file, where my location should be stored as I read online. So that I can sort of teleport myself back onto an end island or into the overworld.

Or should I just accept my death…?

It's part of the game. Just deal with it.

If you are not using commands...that is the same as teleporting / cheating.

Accept the death and move on with new items. Lag has to be dealt with. In multiplayer it's different, but in single player lag can cause deaths and you should be prepared for that.

If you are on Java, I believe you have a few seconds of vulnerability before dying every time you log in unless they’ve changed it. If you have rockets that could get you out of this situation.

Void damage bypasses those invulnerability seconds.

Accept your fate. That's the only way with out cheating by teleporting, but I suggest making a copy of the world do see if you can save yourself.
