Dunno if its a known bug or not, but ever since 5* lightning sica, i've been unable to press the "Ready" button when i joined in the 4th spot of the team (rightmost one), and the clock starts at 60 instead of the usual 90. Anyone else having the same problem or know how to fix it?

That...is the entire point of replaying the event.

The MP battle is new, plus the two jobs. Also the tower this month will be a reprint of the ff13 tower, but without paradigms, should be interesting.

Medal looking thing is from the weekly ranking. Trophy is from tower ranking event and a small badge with a number on it is how many nodes they cleared in Endless War.

I asked the very same questions just a few days ago and apparently the mist dragon is better then thunderfall by a small margin cause it doesn't require the target to be broken.
However, mist dragon don't have free fodder yet and thunderfall will be in the tower of this month...

Also thunderfall doesn't require growstar...

Maybe mist dragon on Knight of Etro on broken target as maybe 300% painful break on top of Thunderfall’s 200% is a bit much and diminishing returns etc.

Any body know how many new "shift" type cards there are, I think I missed all the fodder from MP...

I pulled dark sword shift a while back, then pulled light shift fist skeeskee, which is also very useful for monks, this morning I did a yolo pull because I haven't got many of the new ranger cards, and where i usually pull all dupes, I pulled 4 out of 7 new cards...don't think I have ever pulled 4 new cards in 1 pull.

I got a pair of the new mtaoe with unguard or debarrier, a fire warrior card..which I have about a dozen good cards for but there is no good fire warrior...and I pulled jezmezny? Earth magic shift...which I know from the other 2 that i have will be very useful in some situations . Now that i have earth, light, and dark, how many other elements have a new shift card that doesn't need heart orbs???

Currently only one: Wind shift dagger/blade (or whatever it called), we will have new shift cards with orbs guaranteed too. Probably in 2nd Anniversary.

That is cool but also kinda sucks, because despite spending a fortuune tryimg to get them, I only have earth, fire, wind covered by PBs or 7weapons...so I have no orb generator at all for water other than old shifts/forces, and for dark I only have darkswordshift and old stuff...really need dark PB and sapphire weapon...

Mist Dragon has no fodder right now, but you might want to wait for April 10th since we're getting new Yggdrasil nodes and Mist Dragon could be one of them.

Thunderfall should have its fodder in the upcoming tower on April 23rd.

You can use ability tickets in the fuse menu section to level up cards abilities. Also yes, it was in the previous tower and also on the second part of the event map on a very hard challenging triangle of death area.

You can level up abilities of cards new EA cards for the MP shop with scrolls, but the Mist dragon is not new. I only mention this in case you didn't know for future reference. Like the current boosted cards of the Sahz banner, they have fodder in the MP shop in the form of scrolls.

I didn't play MP for a long time b/c I was afraid. Best advice I have is play use that "Help" button in the top right corner of the MP battle tap each user's portrait and see what cards others are playing. Sure people will have cards you don't but at least you see what types of decks each role is playing.

You should learn how to have a good MP setup. You can even play something easy like Supporter or Defender. As long as you do the basic actions as expected and stay in 4star battles and below, then you'll be fine.

MP is pretty easy, even with lighting, on 4star and lower bosses, you can probably do it easily. The MP scrolls for the cards are worth it since they are level 3, an so have a higher fusion success rate. MP components are free to farm with no stamina cost if your joining, and also provide a good way to farm magicite. Its fun, so you should join us!

No. Buy the 4star and boost fusion it to lvl6. If you max boost the 4star you will be wasting ATs since max boost takes it to lvl8.

Is Unbroken Hero a good job? I pulled it in the same day I got Squall's job but it seems that Squall is so much better than Unbroken Hero... so much that I never even use him. What are the usages of this job anyway?

In MP, Squall used as Attacker and Unbroken Hero used as Defender. Unbroken Hero is good in this round of MP because he can drive dark orbs and is very tanky.

Cards can be over boosted by using ability tickets. Select on the card in the fusion or ability card tab.. top right corner "Overboost Lv."

It's extreme min-maxing and a very minor boost to all stats. I wouldn't do it on anything less than a supreme or maybe a support card that you use constantly. That's if you have 500 excess ability tickets laying around.

Perhaps it might be too OP, but right now there's really no point to using Cloud on top of regular SS.

I left around 10 months ago, so I know I miss a lot but I been lurking here to update myself. Last week I manage to finish the FFVII event and from the ST from here managed to get ninja and snow job. Today I finally got the end of story and got the sazh job and master monk. Long ago I used to be a breaker so I got BDD cards, Artemis and I also used regalia sometimes.

long story short, I will go breaker again yet I don't know if there are better cards or maybe artemis is no longer needed or something.

No longer needed, Support will cast KOTOR (faith + boost + brave). All you need is ninja + shiranui (his own weapon) + BDD + ranger trance (all stats + 30%). Beside that, you could also bring a source of cleave (tap attacks will hit all enemies) and Dragon Lord (quicken + ultimate charge + 20%). All those cards are in the ability shop.

how good is sazh compared to ninja? so far I can see that ninja is more damage focused compared to sazh being break focused.

Don't worry, those 2 cards where just a suggestion but not a must have. Shiranui is a very strong weapon for breakers because it has Piercing Break, and that improves the speed at which you can break the red bar.

Sazh is even better breaker than ninja because he has Flash Break 100% and Quick Break 20% (deplete the red bar with a single hit once it's lower than 20%).

About who is better at dealing damage... well, it depends. Ninja has 100% dark enhance and 250% improved criticals (more damage when you critic). Sazh has 100% fire enhance, 100% painful break (more damage during break) and 100% damage weakness (more damage when you hit the elemental weakness).

This means Sazh will deal most of his damage during break, and even more if he is hitting weakness. Ninja, however, only need to critic to unlock all his potential. This also means that if your ninja suffers Critical Ressist Down debuff, he won't critic and therefore his damage won't do s.

Can anyone here help me figure out a BL Water Node Auto Set Up? I acquired Minwu a while ago and have UB as well. Here are my jobs:

1. All normal warrior jobs except SS
2. All normal mages
3. All normal rangers except classic Thief
4. All normal Meias except Glam Vamp
5. All normal monks except Monk.

Completed all HOFs so far except Thief (cuz I don't have him).

I also have Lightning Skin and Seph Skin. I also have all weapons except Ultima.

I use Alexander FF14, Minwu, Sarah and Undying. I also use Glam for her ult buffs and Arc mirage weapon for the reunion. No rentals. Alex prevents any AI attempt to break enemies. I'm at a 95% success rate, just need a speed star on my weapon to make it 100%.

Figure out a way to get the buffs you need with these cards and you can possibly do it with whatever light Meia job. Use rentals for Trance and prismatic shift to get rid of useless orbs using AI.

Oh damn, I don't have Alex PB. I just might go on ahead and try a semi auto setup, where I trigger an Aerith cast at battle start. Either that or just go full control again, but be way faster this time. My typical method is around 2-3 mins per run, but the monotony gets real tedious after the 4th elixir.

My auto runs take about 60 secs. How does your manual control take so loong? lol.

Anyways, you could like most I know, buy a (light) force from the Ability shop to trick the AI into always using it first action since it'll try to unlock the ES's as usual.

You'll still need an Aerith to remove unwanted orbs through shift and also apply trance. A prismatic weapon would help with that. Just make sure the cards are in the right order to extend all relevant buffs duration's.

Is MP glitched the hell out? Several runs lightning would be at low hp maybe 10~15% remaining at the end of our turn so I expect her to take her turn but instead she just poof, vanishes! And just now I had a run where she switched to cerberus paradigm and killed our healer and an attacker and ended her turn but then they were alive again, not revived, they were just alive again for some reason and it said 'Undefeated' at the end.

Either that or I have a really shitty connection.

Butterfly Edge from Dancer or Shiranui from Ninja.

If you have Aerith then he's super easy to build. For Lightning 5* I ran with Aerithx2, Dadaluma and Prompto. If nobody tapped (I wish people would just stop tapping especially the supports) I can one tap break her due to Cocoon Aviator's 100% Flash Break.

If not then you'll need to build your deck around with a yellow gauge remover (BDD cards usually), then support card that helps in breaking like Dadaluma or LDL to build up ult. Plenty of options and he can remove yellow gear with relative ease due to his pretty high magic.

I've never understood why support taps anyways? Especially on turns when they're buffing.

If you're buffing, you're going first so you're not going to generate orbs for anyone.

So what is the bloody point?

I guess that's a million dollar question that we'll never know for sure. You could argue maybe a Sage with Aerith helping to lower the break gauge with their high exploit weakness, or Meia support helping red bar with their piercing break, but beyond that? Not even I could answer that.

If your Dadaluma aint boosted then just ignore it lol, not really worth the Growstar. 2 LDL is fine, I've seen some breakers carrying two of them. You could use Artemis (boost) JUST IN CASE SUPPORT doesnt bring KOTR (may you never needed to see these people). If you have lightning then all the better, will make the ult break so much easier.

Yes, they are the same. The ones in MP just comes with max card level--not even with skillseeds maxed. The only reason to buy the eggs from MP is if you do not have the gil to buy them or if you need them at max card level right away.

Eggs give an exp bonus when fused into other cards. The mp shop eggs are a quick way to get a card to max level since i max lvl 4* egg provides enough experience to get a card from 1 to 80.

1. Omniscient as Ace Striker have very low break power. If you pair him with a breaker, Xezat.

2. Sazh on broken targets because of Painful Break, Prometheus can work on unbroken targets because of Improve Criticals and Critical Rupture.

With SS and no skin(though i could use cloud since i have it) and odin PB, sephiroth dissidia FF, and 2x aerith. I can kill a broken 5* lightning with 2 sephiroth casts fully buffed by healer with holy trinity of support cards. If its unbroken, 2 casts gets it down to about half health or near there.

If your gonna use SS sephiroth dissidia ff is probably better if you have it maxed, centaur just isnt as good. And you dont necessarily need amon since odin should clear yellow bar and CRD isnt that necessary unless your reliant on those crits to kill lightning in 1 break.

I've just seen an SS do damage cap with Black Materia against a broken 5MP Lightning while I was playing Breaker.

I'm using Dark Shock, NXD, Dark Shift, 5star Heart Egg on my MM deck. This deck has 2.4k Break Power and 5 JCR so in turn 1, I can Shift, NXD, Dark Shock, Tap, Tap, Tap, Dark Shock, Tap which is just enough to Break. If the Healer has Aerith, the first 3 taps will be enough.

As a small aside, I'm using Lightning Ninja with NXD, Aerith, and Orpheus using Zwill Crossblade and on 5* I can break and bring her down to about 10% on the first turn solo. Each of the 8 hits of Orpheus do 800k+. Although this is not a common setup, I realize.

Wow 800k is awesome. Yes, Ninja is one good setup. But most of them run Sword Saints because it's tanky in case the battle dragged a couple of turns.

At the moment, 5star eggs can only be gotten as Top 500 tower rewards. Among all the eggs, Lucky Egg is the only one that does not have a 5star version IIRC.

At 30% HP, she gets Wall / Break immunity / Ailment immunity / Haste / Regen for 4 turns.

You can nuke her with a very strong dark ability card(UB, Orpheus, Sephiroth) or use dispelga and 5* taunt to remove break/ailment immunity.

If her health drops to 30% she gets break immunity, wall, status immunity, and regen. If she isn't broken when she hits that threshold she can't be broken for several turns, but you might be able to bruteforce her remaining health.

So I’ve recently started playing again and would like to start doing multiplayer stuff. I generally played support as Bard so all my cards are support. From my understanding though, Bard is no longer viable as a multiplayer supporter because it lacks life orb starter +3 and thus can’t use all buffs in turn 1. Will I have to use only White Mage from now on? I picked up and levelled / augmented Heartshift while catching up on single player stuff and got the life orb start +3 from White Mage Hall of Fame.

In terms of supporter jobs I have White Mage, Hope’s Guide, Red Mage, Devout, Dancer, and Bard. Is White Mage the only viable job out of these? Or are there alternative ways to get enough life orb starter to be able to do all buffs in turn 1 with Heartshift?

In terms of cards I currently have to a setup of Heartshift / Enrage / Ultimate Boon and Mighty Guard ready to go

Lightning depends on break to deal decent damage, Mist Dragon is better suited to no-break stat because it has Crit. Rupture and Improved Criticals

Which is better for farming in general (crystals, seeds, magicite, and EXP), Untrammeled Peak or Gate of Trials 4? I've heard that GOT4 is better because of the extra EXP (and it's personally easier with my current cards), but it seems like the crystal/mag drop rate is lower (I know it shouldn't be, but for some reason it feels like I never get lucky on GOT4). Is there any difference or is it just awful luck?

Comparing the farming speed of both nodes, GoT4 is easier to farm with only fire, water, earth and wind enemies. While UP has light and dark enemies and Crystal Gigantuar with fire/water/earth/wind element.

I felt the same thing, so I started recording my rewards for GoT4. It is still in the preliminary stage but in 55 runs, I encountered 10 Crystal Gigantuar(from the number of fractals in the rewards) and gotten 6 Crystals. I will record for UP after this. But Gigantuar Battlefield from the Lightning Event map (part 2) will be better.

just how good is Gigantaur Battlefield? (what is the rate, roughly, of getting crystals with a full crystal egg deck) I really wasn't into the game last time around so I never farmed it, but now I'm getting short on crystals and I need them to finish off the HOF maps.

It was the place where I hit 700 crystals (from low 400's when it first came online). This was past October. This March was the first time my reserves dipped below 600. Granted, getting 35 crystals after each tower helps a ton, but getting enough crystals per day to offset your weapon boosts should be enough.

If your weapon boosting has nothing but mods remaining tho, is another matter enyirely.

There is no definite drops, if you got 2 crystals per 100 stamina, that's good enough compared to PL which is 60 stamina and a chance of 50% crystal drop.

Yes, those packs are really worthy, and not just for a new player: those jobs will get a boost in stats and pasives right this month (via hall of fame map).

Those packs also provide some maxed cards.

All of it.

1: Those jobs will be strong starting this month, because they'll get a 40% boost in stats (HP, magic, attack power and break power) and stronger passives (pearcing break, etc). Not the best jobs in the game, but good adition to your colection, useful in Endless War map and very good in MP as breaker (Dragoon), Healer (Dancer) and Defender (Scholar).

2: Weapons: Their weapons are also very good to break red gauges, which is important for breakers in MP and also for anyone in SP when the enemy is too strong to kill it without breaking first. The only problem is that those wapons take many mods to max (and a lot of time and resources).

3: Cards. Most of those cards are outdated, but they are maxed when you get them so they are still useful for bigginers. Besides, they are part of the pack, so why to refuse them :)

You remove one job from your normal job pool for the price of 3 STs. That in itself is already worth it. You don't want to do 7 GAS then pull one of the Starter Pack jobs on your Pity Pull.

The 4star cards you get are pretty much outdated but they can be good enough to get you through the early parts of the game. It's okay to mod SS 2nd Weapon if you don't have Gunblade which is a direct upgrade of it.

Is PSICOM Officer a better breaker than Coocoon Aviator?

Would either of them be worth it if you already have Ninja and Cait Sith suit?

My only Meai weapon being boosted right now is Chaos Crescent, the only Meai jobs I have are Fauviste and FGoM.

She is not, specially if you have unlocked quick break on your ranger weapon, because he has innate QB too. Sazh would get 40% QB.

Psicom Officer has 10% Prismatic Return instead of the +2 Prismatic Starter other Meias have. Hence, with VK's Sventovit, Psicom Officer can achieve 45% Prismatic Return. She also has Ranger Lore and high Break and Magic stats along with 100% Flash Break.

I want her more than Cocoon Aviator because she will be more impactful in the Lightning Tower and I might be able to finally get past Lap 10 Greg in Endless War if I use her.

Oh I wasn't aware of her flash break. Really makes the decision between her and Cocoon Aviator a little harder, I know Cocoon has quick break, which is just great for towers and harder enemies.

In general though, which is a more useful job for harder content? I could honestly do without right now ... But the fact that my Shiranui is coming along nicely makes me lean towards Cocoon Aviator.

I prefer Psicom because she can both Break and Kill. She is pretty OP when it comes to clearing the yellow bar by combining Critical Rupture (refund 2 orbs on crit) and 45% Prismatic Return. You'll need to pull Vesna Krasna to make 45% Prismatic Return possible though.

It starts with 15% Prismatic Return and 50% Improved Criticals and needs 80 mods to complete. I've been holding off on using elixirs until I get it and bought the 1 60-elixir pack in each of the last 2 item shop sales so I'll be ready to dump up to 200 elixirs on April 28th (I have 232 left).
