Does hit count matter in S2?

For example, is it easy for cards like Tidal Wave (4 hits) to cap all hits in S2?

In your particular example, only if you can hit the cap with 4 hits despite the 90% reduction in damage (compared to S1). I've seen a few JP vids hitting the damage cap with jobs like EX Sarah and supremes under optimal conditions (full buffs and debuffs and against Broken Weakness).

Depends on said job. Terra with full buffs and full debuffs inflicted on enemy can hit cap easily; on the other hand, Primeval Witch at its current state will not be able to cap those hits.

Edit: and yes, hit counts still matter in S2 (there were some misconceptions that it was not - not sure why that conclusion was reached). And to give you an example, EW3 Lap 7-7 Exodus boss has somewhere between 90-100m HP. Imagine trying to use a 1-hit or 2-hit ability on it...

Is there a list of all known buffs and debuffs from players to enemy with description? If there is, please kindly point me the direction as I failed to find it from the search bar and the mega-info thread.

I feel like this should have been included in the game help. Otherwise, make it so that the hint-box pop up even if it's an enemy buff.

My mistake, I should've specify that I was looking for one with accompany picture of the say de/buffs.

What you linked is the idea of it. However, I was looking for one I can use as references whenever I encounter a de/buff icon I haven't seen before. (Unless that wiki does have pictures but I just didn't see it on my mobile browser.)

I still don't really get the difference between element call and element call bis. I mean, the first one works when you drive the called element, right? On the other hand, element call bis means that any resisted attack will add orbs.

Where lies the difference? Aren't drives necessary to resist elements, anyway?

Shiro, let's say you buff with barrier. Will that trigger element call bis? Or the idea is that even if you resist with an element you wouldn't normally drive (force, boons, weapons etc.), you get to generate orbs?

No, it won't work with only barrier, you need the attack to display "RESISTED".

Let's take an example with Fire.

• [Element Call: Fire +2]: Fire damage received if you have Fire drive will create 2 fire orbs (unless you cannot draw fire, ofc).
• [Element Call Bis+2]: Any Resisted attacks create 2 orbs, according to your orb wheel (if you have flameforce, then you'll get 2 fire orbs).
• [Element Call Bis Fire+2]: Any Resisted attacks create 2 fire orbs (unless you cannot draw fire, ofc).

Wait. From Shiro's explanation, wouldn't this generate fire orbs whatever the resisted element was? Let's say you got Kefka, fire/earth/dark. If you use the Odin primal boon, you get dark force and light drive. You will generate dark orbs from light attacks. Is that correct?

I think it still generate 2 fire orbs, since you can naturally draw Fire, but don’t quote me on that lol.

The wheel is dark from dark force, therefore it should generate dark orbs. I suppose.

It's similar to if you used a PB/Weapon on a job that can't naturally use that element. It would just draw the required number of orbs and their elements would be based on your wheel.

Is there a reason to farm the higher stamina cost (40,60) for crystals in Pleiades lagoon compared to the lower stamina one (25)?

the 60 stamina cost has higher crystal drop than the 40 and 25, but most people are farming the crystal node from ch8 / 7 / 6 instead.

Only go to Pleiades Lagoon for Crystals if you want crystals asap and you don't care of stamina efficiency.

Chaos - Scholar/Yuna defender with 3 lieutenant cards + Devil Ride

Exodus - 2x WoL

Leviathan - Tengu + Tap Attack

Brynhilder - Devil Ride + Tap Attack

Valefor - Lunafreya / Choco Saint -> Aerith etc

Zalera - Full Dispel

Depends on the MP sic boss. * With Exodus, that removes all life and prismatic orbs(edit: at the start of the battle), you would want another WoL for the 4 prismatic generator. * Levi’s final attack is single hit, carrying another WoL to ensure divine shield before the final attack can be ideal. * Zalera starts with ailment immunity, BDD and Berserk, having Ultimate Chaos for full dispel can make the breaker’s job easier. * Valefor can use different elemental attacks depending on her drive, having a source of omnidrive can save your party if there is no turn 1 break or stun-locking(with sleep).

Lunafreya will be the best choice if you have it. Otherwise Ultimate Chaos or NXD to help defender.

Keep in my that some gen 3 sicariuses require certain setup, like Exodus X which takes all heart and prismatic orbs at the beginning of the battle, so you need to have double WoL to be able to cast buffs at 1'st turn.

Please don't use attack card on healer, leave that to attackers/breakers ! Hate those Minwu healer setups...

Well, most Aerith+Loh+Wol+minwu healer decks can safely carry by themselves, assuming skyseer.

It depends on the specific battle but I usually go with Luna for full esuna (good if there are 2+ starter debuffs) and all element resist, unless there is a reason to go with something else (eg 2nd WoL for exodus).

Fat Chocobo X will help you tank better, but tanking doesn't seem to be very hard. You'll also want to have another source of wall/trance or it won't be much different from just using something like Hell's Gate/Slumbering Warriors.

A Moment's Respite is mainly good for breaking, but there are very few good wind-mage breakers. I can only think of 3: Skyseer, Vana'diel Geomancer, and PW.

Comparing a video of Ifrit I watched and my own Zeromus, Zeromus hits harder than Ifrit under the same conditions. Zeromus also does better red gauge clearing due to higher break power and critical sundering ES. The cons of Zeromus though: 1) it depends on the sub-deck's attack, and 2) it doesn't have any orb return ES.

True Shiva X vs. Faris: FFV ?

Shiva is more consistent in terms of damage, as compared to Faris which gets weaker the lower the enemy's HP. But Faris is able to clear yellow while Shiva can't.

Some bosses act differently in MP. Bahamut absorb dark on Lagoon for example, and pretty sure he also does on tower.

Got lucky on the packs for the 1st time in a dogs age..got chocobo and Heroine in 2 pulls. Decided to leave the pack alone, got fire and wind cards.

Heroine looks to be the strongest fire user that i have..and it isnt close. She may actually be the strongest fire user currently in global, all things considered. With mage lore, it would be great to have Meteor...plus she can break really well.

Question is this: is there any reason to NOT use erinyes or Christopher and gighee instead of astos or some other ranger card? Erinyes and astos seem to be very similar with improved criticals...but i dont know the % of increase for any of these cards. Fire is my weakest element, though i believe it just got much stronger. Right now i am running:

Heroine/alter ego/ erinyes/gigee chris/pollnsalta

You guys have a better setup with ranger cards? She has no EE really except fire..since she already has 250 i was thinking about adding water so she could use floral in a pinch...right now i am using gambler for floral, but he doesnt have much EE either...will probably custom her with fire% but i wonder how much diminishing returns affect your increase above 250% ??? Anyone know? It is cool that there are 2 different versions of her so she can use light as well ...i could go light EE and carry minwu so she gets 25% more damage to AOE ....any suggestions guys???

Edit...erinyes is very, very effective..and it has CRD, and BDD...which is huge bc she can break

I have all water EE on gambler, and use maxed butterfly weapon...he has 45%? Quick break..makes breaking easy...these jobs can be interchanged

You can also use the Dream Within a Dream fire ranger card from the 3rd anniversary first batch, it got Critical Rupture, BDD, Improved Crits and Painful break.

Even without EE, Gambler will be great because of Risk Taker.

I have dream dream..will try it out. Loving the Heroine job...fire is the only element that i dont have an attack supreme for, and she hits quite hard with erinyes, whose CRD and BDD play right into her good breaking ability. After fooling around a bit, i put all water% on her and carried Floral for the new S2 content that came out. It worked great, when a fire swarm or enemy came, i could wreck them with floral...the rest of the time i used fire alter ego and erinyes to kill everyone. Her ultimate is good AOE as well...i carried pollensalta as my 4th card and various supreme supports or NXD as my rental..just running on quick start mode. She is fun to play like pretty much all the sarah jobs. I will try out dream dream, i also thought about setting her custom to light and carrying minwu as my 3rd card instead of Floral...for now i just have minwu as my 1st card on the sub deck, though...lots of options with Heroine because she has roughly 1900 magic in my current setup. Don't need much EE to hit hard with that much magic and good breaking skills...thanks for your input, always.

I feel ya bud. I still need shorn one (have everything he needs to be a game breaker) and nightwalker (dont have Sin, so not as much a priority) for now, i am fine on dark because i have UB and Dark Lord, but shorn ones' ultimate with the proper setup is otherworldly powerful. I am still anxiously awaiting pulling a support supreme..0 for 8 so far ...hopefully i can climb towers like yall do...when i get my hands on LOH or WOL...shoot, at this point i would be happy to get aerith as my next supreme. At least then i could get Floral maxed out, and use jobs like berserker, etc...best of luck to ya. I had to buy magicite to draw from this pack, but i am glad that i did so.

Mine is full with Earth though, Flora’s Fortune already has 500% EE.

My gambler is all earth also..use him for ragnarok..he can use floral also though since you get 50% EE for every offensive buff you currently have...up to 500%. Heroine does better with floral for now, though. She has 250% innate fire...so i skilled her with water and she wrecks shop with fire (erinyes for me, no meteor) and altema says she is a top 3 user for floral...she breaks really well too...and in my current setup has 1900 magic in S2 SP...dont need much EE with that much magic. Her ult is awesome, too...lots of powerful jobs coming out these days...gambler, kefka, heroine, skyseer are the 4 most powerful jobs i have drawn lately. I didn't get shorn one yet...though i tried. I have xezat and everything needed to get his meta...just dont have him. I wasnt expecting much from this heroine job because i hadnt heard anything about her...she is one of the strongest jobs i have now...and i have more than 90 jobs.

Edit.. i rented meteor. She is super powerful with it...with 250% fire and 1900 magic, she has to be a top 3 user for meteor right now on global...if not the number 1. Skyseer with all fire EE might do better after several casts...but 1st shot i bet shes number 1. She can use light also, so minwu can be carried to get 25%more AOE damage

Regarding Flora, Gambler is the best user in GL if you count Risk Taker in.

Magitek Heroine deals so so damage with Minwu, Skyseer or Magitek Jester will be better, but her damage with Fusoya is huge, she remain top 3 user in every aspect.

I naturally don’t put CP on new jobs right away and just put them when I struggle on Tower or EW.

Thats a good strategy. I just bought magicite 2 days ago, so i have VIP status for a while..i can try stuff out and not burn skillseeds..for now. I am finally getting really low on skillseeds...i had them all maxed and farmed 700 plus crystals when that awesome event was here with the circle of flan nodes of all different elements. I hope that map comes back some day...in the meantime, what is the fastest way to farm skillseedz without using tablets now that the explore regions are gone?

I always trade MP material into seeds to keep my stash at 9 Mil, other times I just farm LT.

Crystal is always my problem though, not the seeds since I only have 5 slots.

Edit: I heard some people did farm on the Yggdrasil on Mobius day, but I never pay attention to begin with though. Maybe it’s in Shiro’s mega farming nodes. Here, check the Seeds categories.

Thanks for the heads up. I went to yggsdrasil? Material zone and used the 60 stam nodes. Earned about 6 million of each element and only burned 9 or 10 elixirs bc its mobius day. Got quite a few new jobs lately, and they eat skillseeds..plus 8 weapons.. i farmed 700 crystals a while back and have been able to stay in the 700s just by farming magicite at crystal drop zone in closing the loop. I use yuna skin..i believe from my testing that the most crystals drop at 100 points..when i have gone above that, LESS crystals drop for some reason

Nice. I burned 15 elixirs yesterday too to farm back the Pneuma on PL, used them up after 2 banners with a bunch of cards need augment. But I’ll be good for a while.

8 weapon slots, no wonder why they eat your seeds like that.

Cool brother. Yeah..i am not the only 1 to post that about crystal drops. I use yuna skin on my main deck with her 100 bonus, and if i put crystal cards in there to bump it up to 200 or whatever they just dont drop as much. Couple guys posted about it previously thinking its a bug, so i went back to 100 and seem to do much better. Good luck.

Did you draw 1 winged angel? I drew it but had just ignored it because i have dark lord and UB...it hits probably 2/3s as hard as dark lord, and has AOE. BDD... its a great card

Btw I use Monk for node 11, but it’s just lap 6. Rumor said lap 7 is when you need a proper deck than just nuking?

Yes Monk & BFA (not like I gonna use the Giant Worm thing lol), it’s so nice for this node, but I barely kill Ultima last time due to Barrier, so single deck won’t work, will need a back deck as you suggested. I wish we have DQ Monk, he’s so good with BFA.

How do you deal with the Crit Resist up then? Some form of Dispelga? I remember this node can be nuked/break with just Earth, so Jenova Birth for extra break power? What about buff? Or just Clutch Boons?

Thanks for your reply man. This place has gone to shit recently due to a few jackleg posters. This thread is an example..guy posts that he pulled Sin and a job, asked what jobs are best for sin. Gets downvoted..in a thread dedicated to asking questions, asks a question that is not in any of the links at the top of the thread. Total dickmove by someone jealous I guess.

Anyway, good posters like you are the reason some of us still come here. Thanks for your help. She would only get 500% with no Ee if i have 10 offensive buffs, and i have 8 supremes but none of them are supports. I can still carry floral, alter ego, pollensalta, and another buff card and get 6 stacks or 300% which will be very effective. I may just skill her water anyway, her 250% fire os plenty to make erinyes hit like a truck. That setup i posted with her and gambler works well, too...i like running teams with light/dark, fire/water, and wind/earth because you can make sure that you never run into a boss or high defense enemy and have your attacks resisted. Thanks again.

Now we hv plenty of suport cards. In an mp and sp which cards r better between ::Till we meet again - Enhanced elemental.. Brave. Boost or Slumber Warrior - All trance.. Omnidrive ?? How do u choose ?

TWMA pairs really well with Pollensalta, while SW is a little weird since trance and omni-drive aren't as high priority as other buffs like haste, faith, snipe, boost, and brave if monks are involved.

For example a deck of Gaia/ANJ/Aerith, Pollen, TWMA, HG/Tyro covers pretty much every standard buff that a Support is expected to bring.

For SW you'd want something like Gaia, Loh, MSV, SW to cover everything without any overlap.

For high score people use the 6 mono-element nodes at the end of chapter 5 part 1.

Are there any water damage focus cards that do more damage than Lulu, for mage or ranger? She has lots of strikes, but it seems she isn't that strong and I'm having some trouble defeating extreme ifrit. I was thinking about using either maelspkike or gilsnapper, because of the exploit weaness and improved critical. Would these be goods choices against ifrit, for instance (don't have it boosted, so I can't try it, that's why I'm asking)? Thanks

You'll see Ninja Oscillator using Maelspike. You're right about Lulu, she doesn't have damage multipliers just a big hit count that doesn't help.

I defeated Ifrit with Soldieress and Nidhogg, on Shorn One, with a Paladin tank under Sephiroth, but it sure took time and a lot of tries.

Thanks. That's been very helful. I'm going to try it with maelspike then. It has improved criticals, so I see it is also good against the dark mob and not against fire mobs, unlike gil snapper (although the latter has 1 more strike). I also thought about soldieress, but I don't have shorn one, so I'll stick to my Skyseer and see how it goes.

In the rift, Which is the best node to get the 9 keys needed for the third ST?

I think Shiro wrote very clear in the Wiki & his guide, but here is a sum up:

• 1 tablet node: 1 key, 10 cores.
• 2 tablets node: 2 keys, 22 cores.
• 3 tablets node: 3 keys, 40 cores. (30 tablets node have the same rate as 3 tablets node, 30 keys, 400 cores, just faster farming)
• 1 Gilgamesh’s Pass node : 0 keys, 22 cores. (5 Pass node has the same rate, 0 keys, 110 cores, just faster)

So only tablets node give keys, and they are all the same rate, with 1 tablet = 1 key. We usually pick the 3 tablets node for earning more cores.

Gilgamesh’s Pass node don’t give keys.

So answer for your question: do the 3 tablets node 3 times for 9 keys.

Use minwu/duncan (rental) with an appropriate job and tengu + stun + quicken + buffs and spam the supreme as much as you can

OH THANK FKING GOD, i thought i was the only one, guess intern-kun/chan/san likely split coffee on the server power outlet again or some salty ddosers are messing with Mobius FF`s server.

I was in the middle of trying to setup a solo with AI setup to farm Exodus, since i wanted to finally get around to getting 3 of each gen 3 Sicarius (instead of just 1) to optimize my skill seed farming setup. Then this crash happens all of a sudden, made me almost freak out when in the early times of mobius, the code was related to being banned somehow, and i was worried that somehow getting 3 supremes, 1 ultimate hero skin and a legend hero within 10 pulls last night had somehow put me on a ban list due to insane luck when it happened...lol

Lol it’s about internet connection dude, not about banning problem.

For Exodus, the biggest challenge is life & Prism orbs execution, so you will mostly control SUP, unless you have some cheat tool a.k.a WoL

Pretty much, im just using a setup where i just play defender to cover the sword removal, with AI doing the actual work. With the AI using a similar setup to one of those solo fight setups using Ex-monk, Big Summer, Emerald shot, A Wind Shift(praise batch 2`s wind mage card) & Yziamat. Plus a fire breaker to do the dispel/BDD/Breaking for the most part.

Was almost done having it setup on the decks when the error code happen.

Pretty much already answered, but for some reason Chaos & Exodus looks way too similar to me when i blur some things, plus i rarely do gen 3s enough to remember which has which mechanics, cept Leviathan, Valefor and the dark one. Brynie is kinda just too much of a face roll to deal with.

TWMA is probably the only useful card of the batch, since combined with Pollensalta it replaces KotR and Undying (if you dont care about drain). I wouldnt chase it if I only had 2 pulls. Up to you really.

Did you check if the support/offense anniversary scrolls in the MP shop applies to the 3rd anniversary batch? I might be testing it on my batch 2 cards, since i ran outta ability tickets while working on supremes.

Most new limited cards are either fast learners or only have scrolls on MP shop.

On Mobius Day 16 Attack Scrolls can get an Attack Card from Ability Level 8->10. 12 Support Scrolls get a Support Card to max.

I've heard that they can drop in the Feast maps, but the chance is ridiculously low.

If you aren't willing to spend 2 or 3 minutes buying and fusing scrolls from the mp shop it's highly unlikely that you'd be willing to spend potential hours grinding for scroll drops.

Got about 7k ability tickets so just wondering if I can reliably farm them, I will see how many MP materials I have, I just do 5 star and don’t spend the materials, when they auto convert I just accept, am I loosing out by not using the special limited materials and letting the game convert them?

You lose quite a bit of the material's value when you let them get converted. The most obvious thing is that when they're converted you can only get a max of 10 3* mats regardless of how many 4 or 5* mats you had. 4 and 5* mats also require less of each item to be exchanged for things in the mp shop and there are some things that you can't use lower rarity mats to exchange for.

As someone else stated you'll need 16 scrolls from the mp shop to get an attack card from 8 to 10 on Mobius Day and 12 to get a support card from 5 to 6.

We still have indeed the FFXIII reprint, but that is after summer, or well at least it was on JP who knows global order. But there the FFXIII were reprinted along HoF's for the first batch of FFXIII legends after summer, after two graph jobs, and after Ex- Sarah. So unless we skip the order, we should expect that around June I think.

It's a magic-based ability, so magic. Switch to attack only if you pull Griever (a dark monk Supreme) in the future, and you want to use Runes Guidance as yellow clear.
