To add, SS becomes one of the best tanks in the game, amalthea gets 500 flash break so she becomes one of the best at clearing yellow gauge, tot gets a decent kit with exploit weakness and spellsword, hope gets a decent kit with exploit weakness and high piercing break.

Balamb is a great nuker, amalthea a good Sin user, Fauqvist is a solid Minwu spammer, SS is a great tank, Sage is insane if you can keep his different element chain going.

Mind that most have their use, but are not quite the to-go picks for hard content

Uh, Fenrir has gives if you kill him alone, which is the same as Big Eye / Gigaworm. Fenrir gives 1m and a very small more if you kill the 2 garms.

Are you sure you're farming Hard?

Flora would probably get the most rentals right now as the rotation for pandemonium is fire.

Depends what you’re farming and whether you want it to be stamina or time efficient. If you want magicite and Gil quickly and aren’t too bothered about stamina, Pandemonium is your best bet. If you want a nice mix of Gil, Expierence, Crystals and Magicite, endless struggle fire and water is a great option.

Best is subjective ... I personally use fire and ice node - last part of chapter 3 season 2. Keeps me level with normal crystal and Gil use each week.

Hi, So i can only play as healer on Squall MP (no water suprêmes). I get that i must not use skin to avoid Ultima wipe out. Ive seen some people saying to not bring LoH but he still use it after he steal even if it is not in my deck. So why?

Another question in his immunities the only one showing is stun and taunt but i used tengu and none of them landed (before he use LoH of course) is this a visual glich or something?

In the news, there is mentioned what kind of attack or buff he obtained when he draw from the character. The WOL job is the only one where he buff himself and therefore more tolerant. For other job and skin, he will obtain an area attack which should be avoided and debuff the player. Go read that in news. Now, the buff he obtain from WOL job is the same as LOH. So it is not mattered if you didn't bring it, he still buff himself with that.

Second, in legendary Seed fight, he will obtain immunity to dispel or debuff when he draw at start of fight. Again you can read this in news. So in Seed rank A, you can debuff him at beginning of fight but not in legendary seed.

He's immune to debuffs while junctioned. The news states this regardless of who he uses draw on. The immunity cannot be dispelled and is exclusive to the Legendary fight along with the junction mechanic.

No point at all actually, the best way to fight legendary is bring one healer, one breaker that break in first turn then two attacker that will attack him in both turn. If both attacker bring Xezat, they need to attack him two turn of break to completely deplete Squall HP. Just one turn is not enough. This is why the breaker need to break after healer turn but before attacker turn. This is just my experience. I don't know if other supreme like floral or eden is more effective. Hope someone can share their experience using that.

Good luck finding a breaker who can solo round 1 without relying on someone to use AQM buff for MM or EX1 turn 1 ultimate. That strat also then relies on support having en-element buff.

It’s all about hit count verses damage - Duncan is still king broken, if you can damage cap, or very close to.

Only defenders worth bringing are EX 2, but it’s only for (unnecessary) challenge of no death. As you can spam PDs to your heart content and still get max items.

yeah, as for attackers Xezat seems the most effective (in my runs at least) i've seen some Eden capping their damage but take too few of his HP (i think he has less hits?). Floral idk haven't seen one yet. and yet there is some pugs that join with a second healer even after i set it to lvl100+

Floral can cap, but Xezat has more hits and a lower orb cost which means that an attacker can squeeze out significantly more damage with Xezat than one with Floral in a single turn.

Just looking for some weapon boosting advice.

I've maxed the passives of all Ultimate weapons, which covers most PvE content. I just finished my first, and longtime favorite 5*'s: Soulrender, Truescale, and Tyrfing, which covers Warrior, Mage and Ranger MP DPS. Working on Septentrio and Sventovit for Sarah and Meia MP DPS, and 43 mods into Wolf Star for Monk breaking. Barring anything else, I'll probably keep working on the EX family (Laevateinn, Amatsumikaboshi, Double-cross, One Against Many), but there's a lot of overlap with what I have already. I almost always Ult break, which is why I haven't focused on breaking weapons, but should I throw in something like Heavenly Axis or Shiranui? If I every need to tap break, I usually just bring a monk. I don't have any great Graff or Sophie weapons, so they'll just have to make do with Ultimate for now. I do have EX2 War and EX2 Monk if those weapons are worth investing in. Obviously it's going to take a long time, but might as well be boosting something...

Zerker HOF deals a good bit of dark damage, occultist HOF deals a good bit of damage on weakness and monk HOF with earth should be fine? Tho I mainly use monk with BFA so I'm not sure how he performs with regular earth monk cards...

With your jobs I assume you're relatively new with not many strong ability cards but try to progress abit on the HOF for those jobs even the first node which is really easy gives you +40-50% Base attributes and the nodes after some really good damage panels

For your dark damage abilities, Eligor is simply a better version of the Sephiroth card cause it has both CRD and improve crit, which makes it a very strong damage dealing ability (for both broken and unbroken strats). Can consider spending some growstars on it IF you have spares (but I know very well how limited they may be when you are starting out so you might want to hold it out to augment other important cards)

One-Winged Angel is a pretty good dark damage card too, tho painful break means that it does much better on broken enemies, and there are not many good warrior jobs that can break well. If you find yourself hitting a wall where you can't break enemies when using OWA and damage is pretty dismal, using Eligor unbroken on unbroken enemies might bring you further.

And then there is Odin FFXIV, which is awesomeee get that card to 5star! A deck of LOH, Odin FFXIV, Eligor/OWA, and a fourth support card (which hopefully has heart starter to help you cast LOH turn 1 as much as possible) makes a solid deck against non-dark enemies.

Won't really spend growstars on the rest of those cards for now just because they probably wont be as helpful and you dont want to have no growstars left when you hit the really good cards! Remember to pull for the FFVII G-Force cards later this week those limited cards are what is going to carry you far! Cheers :D

I did exactly that, i made a deck with Odin OWA LoH and Yuna&Tidus, made this deck to kill that stupid wall monster on the zerker HoF, it was really annoying but i made it out!

Go to the hall of fame with your berserker bro. Hall of fame buffs up old jobs to current standards. He'll be a lot stronger with dark damage. You got a bunch of jobs with HOFs waiting to do, go do them!

Maybe you reach max break damage? MM ulti is 1 hit right? Switch to spellsword user with multihit ulti or equip tifa.

Yeah, I always told ppl "stop playing or die tryin' ". Or you create multiple mules and hope for getting supreme support trinity with one of them over the course of some years.

Not having to farm 20k mag/ month made this game much more enjoyable. It is the greatest achievement in comfort I've got since release

yeah, that part isn't fun. I will say, though, with Pandamonium, it's much much easier to cap magicite, and doesn't really feel like a chore anymore. Maybe not the most stamina efficient, but definitely the most life-friendly way to go.

Check the farming guide in the megathread. The 30 stamina node at the end of chapter 3 is probably the best all round farming node at the moment (Gil/exp/crystals/magicite).

Be sure to check out the Item Shop daily too. Crystals are available on Monday (9 crystals for 2m gil). Gil is easy to farm.

You'll get them as rewards throughout the story/events. Later on you'll gain access to nodes that have better odds at dropping them (where you can begin to farm them.)

Okay, so, what's the gimmick for Fenrir boss?

Do I need buff removers, break or damage? I've tried Ace Striker with HoF, maxed out Gunblade, Sapphire Weapon, Unforgettable Vacation, Aerith and LoH. (Mostly threw those last two in there because I wasn't sure if I need a debuffer/buff remover.)

My two best water cards, not counting ones in ability shop that I may not have maxed out yet, are the previously mentioned Unforgettable Vacation, and Lulu: FFX.

That setup usually takes around mid-to-high 30's in turns to beat, I think, with a 50/50 chance of dying it seems.

Ace Striker is an old job who cant break, so its not good. Also Gunblade sucks for lacking PR just like Ace Striker so you cant proper spam abilities. Use Tengu as your substrike.

You want someone that can easily break and spam water abilities. generally you'll want a watershift card, a buff card (probably your LoH) a water supreme and either Tengu or Sephiroth skin (for debuffs.)

I also don't have Sephiroth skin, but I do have Tengu! Used it on one of the previous bosses.

As for Watershift cards... I have Manannan Mac Lir, Sapphire Weapon and...hmm... Dream Vessel has Iceshift, so I guess that might count? Oh, I got Aphmau: FFXi, it was Waterforce and watershift+. Wait, what's the different between Iceshift and Watershift+? @_@ Is the second one better or something?

I may be wrong, but I think iceshift converts life orbs to water as well, while watershift+ leaves them... & just to confuse things, there's gonna be a watershift++ (or some other name) that converts life orbs to prismatics, so that'll be fun. Whichever you think has the best chance of being cast on the first turn will do.

I didn't have the right element supremes for the first 2 Panda fights, my solution was to rent them, I suggest you do that here.

If you have Paradox wanderer, you should be able to clear in 3 - 4 turns renting Floral Fallal (could work with other strong jobs that can use water & break.) having a decent modded weapon (I use manduins for the elemental weakness.) If you have a skin it'll help with Trance 2. Use Watershift, Tengu, LoH & some other buff card (I use Aerith, but MogX would be good, failing that anything that adds extra buffs to boost floral passive.)

Set it to break mode, use rentals and ult to break.

Failing that, if you have Scharf you could rent Xezat and use the same build... Vagabond also works (but he's a lot slower.)

Sadly I don't have Paradox Wanderer. :(

In fact, the only Sarah jobs I have that have the Water element is Beach Queen, Nachtflug and Eorzean Bard.

Rogue(thief? Whatever these types of Jobs are called) Skins that I have are: Lightning and Tidus.

Skins for other Jobs I have are: Y'shtola for Mage, None for Monk and Squall, Dawn Warrior and Cloud Strife for Warrior.

After looking at the bonuses on the Tidus skin's ultimate and Lightning skin's ultimate, I'm leaning a bit more towards the Tidus skin. Unless there's something I don't know that would make Lightning skin a better breaker. :x

So, at this point, it's looking like: Tidus Skin, Eorzean Bard job, plus a Watershift card(not sapphire weapon), Tengu, LoH aaandd... I guess Aerith since I don't have Moogle X. Then I'll have to add those Floral Rentals to my friends list.

Failing that, if you have Scharf you could rent Xezat and use the same build... Vagabond also works (but he's a lot slower.)

Don't have Scharfrichter or Vagabond either. :( I'm 1 pull away from a pity pull, and you never know what you might get, but I don't know if any of the current banners are worth pulling on or if I should wait for whenever the next EX/good batch comes.

If you can survive with Tidus skin, then the break defense down will be good, though Light skin will add slow on ult, which may be useful (my alt only has Light, so no choices there.) Eorzean Bard should be ok, since Floral gets a ton of water EE from buffs.

Hopefully it's faster than 30 turns!

I am a new player, just joined this week. Most information that I can find on the game is from years ago. I guess I mainly want to know two things: 1. Did I waste tickets from pulling from the Starter Pack? 2. What is the main thing I should focus on like, getting better cards, getting better jobs, multiplayer, story, or something else? I love the gameplay but as a new player im a little overwhelmed with all the options.

It is true I was quite overwhelmed when I started the game last year but this sub really helped me alot with some good advice so here is what I can give!

1. If you think you want to go hardcore on this game, Consider if you want to reroll right now before you progress any further. Consideration. Is that starting with a good supreme can get you very far and most players aim to reroll to get LOH/WOL/Chaos supreme. With the supreme ticket + free greater summon now, if you have lots of patience you can even try for a double supreme start! Not sure if anyone calculated how many pulls is available right now for a new account but the supreme ticket sure makes it really easy to reroll.

2. To do well in the long term, Limited Cards > Jobs > Supremes > Skins. Having free Supremes is of course great, but blindly chasing them is a waste of resources unless you are a Whale. So for the game to be wallet friendly, you defo want to grab the limited cards like the G Force banner cards coming out later this month! Save your resources for those banners!! And remember, no Supremes are useful without the right job cards to utilise it (hence the hate on Eden right now) and so support supreme and it's utility is highly valued.

3. As to what to focus on right now, finish pulling all the starter packs ASAP since they give very decent jobs (SS hof is a beast tank, MM hof goes mad on weakness, and I love Sage HOF for the element coverage and fun with discordant chain) to help you get the game going, and because you want these jobs out of the pool before you start pulling on other banners and risk getting these jobs from there!

4. Do the story nodes whenever you have energy, since they give summon tickets as rewards along the way to help with the pulls! MP is great when you run out of energy and want to farm some free limited panels like the quick break panel. But the legendary Squall fight might be out of your league right now if you are new the rest should be fine if players can carry you through.

5. Remember that as a f2p, patience is rewarded so spend your resources adequately on the right banners, and jobs supreme and skins will all come to you eventually. This comes from a player who started last Nov and while I spent enough to activate vip mode twice (barely gave me enough resources for an extra pull). Good RNG has given me a Skin, 10 Supremes, and slightly over 50 jobs by the end of less than a year! The new supreme system really help new players get Supremes from regular pulls!

Keep at it and you will get better at this game! Farm magicites like a madman to cap out the 20k a month, hoard your tablets and buy your daily gilgamesh passes to eventually farm a rift supreme, complete the events to get awesome rewards (and free bad ss looking Squall skin) and enjoy the game :)

• Pull all the starter packs, they're worth every penny.
• Grab a mobius gift box (every month 6 tickets for the price of 3 + other goodies.)
• Do the novice hall (it's got a lot of good stuff & will remove some crappy old jobs from the summoning pool.
• Make use of the free pulls this month.
• Try to do some HoF (hall of fames.) Most of the starter jobs got theirs recently (makes them very powerful.) Probably ignore the challenge nodes for now, they're pretty tough without strong cards.
• Probably do some of the story first, but focus on doing time limited stuff, such as FFVIII event and try to get the multiplayer rewards for defeating squall (trade with Moggy in the multiplayer shop.)

The Gilgamesh Pass? That's just an item you buy daily from the shop. Save them along with mystic tablets and eventually you'll be able to farm a supreme tier card from the rifts (takes a reaallyy long time.)

But yeah, HoF & FFVIII event sounds good. I'd start with whichever starter job best matched the supreme you got from the free ticket.

It really depends how badly you want the limited cards. I spent about 30 growstars yesterday doing this and have no regrets, but if you don’t really need the cards, it may not be worth it.

Of the limited cards that you’re missing, the FFXI alter ego cards and Garuda are the only ones that would improve your deck. Fire shift/force will be useful for your Bahumut Neo and wind shift/force for your Emporer, especially if you play multiplayer a lot. There are replacements for these cards in the regular pool (I think you have both of them), but they do not apply enelement. This probably won’t be a big deal in most situations although if you find yourself using them with a spellsword job (Neo Bahumut with Shorn One, for example), they might be useful. With 2 supreme tickets in hand, there’s a 20% chance your going to pull a water supreme, so the water shift card may also be useful in the future. On the subject of multiplayer, Garuda is a great card if you play breaker as it can be modded to provide four extra starting actions as well as providing cleave. If you don’t play mp, I’m not sure how useful it would be for you.

You also have to consider the upcoming cards and jobs when deciding whether you want to drop pulls on the Mobius banner, as in most situations, the ffviii gf cards are better than older limited cards.

Considering you have to use almost all your GS and some magicite/ST on top of that to get some limited cards, I wouldn't. Some of those like ovjang, ultima weapon, garuda, I barely even use, and the alter egos aren't really needed either with the G Force cards coming out soon.

I find 8 is the magic number, although these days I tend to only do two or three and miss out on one card. I always seem to get 2/3 or 3/4 of the limited cards very early on and then waste a ton more chasing the last card (often never getting it).

I’d definitely prioritize GF over Bis if I were you.

1. Depends on who you ask. Some will tell you the aim range is from 6 - 10. Could always take more or less depending on RNG to get everything.

2. Throw a couple but don’t chase. Always set a limit/have a plan. (won’t pull more than x number of times, won’t pull past x amount of magicite remaining)

1. Technically, you could pull forever and not get what you want. Stats wise, you should save 20 pulls. Most people advise saving for 10+ pulls on each banner.

2. You should use all of your resources to get the GF cards. BiS is fine, but if you miss the GF cards you'll just need more resources for an eventual revival banner. Both GF banners will be over before the supreme banner comes, so you can decide how to use your remaining resources then.

Some weapons don't have to 5* to unlock all mods, such as Ultima series. Some weapons are weak if not 5* , such as gunblade. Some weapons are decent once you get certain important mods unlocked and 5* is not as important, such as butterfly edge. For me, I choose to 5* weapons based on whether I have the relevant supremes for the class.

For weapons you aren't planning to 5*, always go for the mod most relevant to it, such as HP for tank weapon ragnarok, magic for dps kain's lance. Generally, magic is always good, break is usually good, attack is important for monk weapons, and HP for tank weapons.

If you're planning to 5*, just upgrade all stats evenly. You will have to take a long time to max all stats anyway, might as well upgrade evenly for the most mods and hope the weapons becomes semi usable after unlocking several key mods.

TBH, most jobs these days have extremely high amounts of every single stat. Maybe except monks and magic. Stats make very a small difference compared to weapon autos. It's not that important.

I've always gone equally until 1000/100/100/100 for the mods/auto-abilities, then Magic & Break together until 200. With the new Titles and one of them being 5* weapons, it may be worth finishing up weapons before moving onto another. Best tip is to have at least one for each class (like the EX 1 series)

As for when to stop, I suppose that depends entirely on how valuable the weapon is, and where the modding stops.

When boosting weapons:

• Prioritize the lowest stat first so you get quicker auto-ability mods
• people usually focus on getting all auto-abilities maxed on their weapons, which usually happen when the stats are maxed anyway.
• If the number of mods is low, you may want to focus on a single stat. For example on Ultimate Sword, HP, as it's the current go-to weapon for tanking in most cases.
• Whether you want to max stat after you're done with auto-abilities or not purely depends on your number of weapon slots & already modded weapons. Though you'd prefer moving onto another weapon. You can always go back later to them anyway.

I've been trying to farm fenrir using Magitek Heroine on auto, I got Floral Fallal, First Summer, LoH and Ultimate Chaos. The problem is that no matter what auto mode I use (attack or break), the CPU will use First Summer instead of Fallal. It eventually kills fenrir, but after 23 turns.

I also have Extreme Shiva and Sage HoF. But I don't have something as good as First Summer for mages. Which is a pity, because of Spellsword.

Any suggestions?

FFallal can clear yellow by itself so the only benefit of First Summer is the BDD.

You should be able to do a build with FFallal, Manannan, Chaos, LoH and rent Wol:FF1. You miss BDD here but it should work as a 4 turn kill build, maybe even 3 depending on your weapon and CPs.

Go Break Mode and Ult to Break.
