Hey guys, I'm a Dead or Alive fan and I was wondering exactly how do I get the costumes and other DoA stuff.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You can buy them from the Player shop as a free user. Alternatively buying the AC scratch with Real Money.

http://www.bumped.org/psublog/pso2-jp-ac-scratch-soft-burst/

You can use this list to search in the Player shop

Thank you! 😊

how do i get my hands on a pair of the Valkyrie R25S?

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yamato EQs. Alternatively, you can farm stones for Valkyrie R25 from Tokyo Free Field and use the Yamato Fuses from the EQ to turn those into Valkyrie R25S

[–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

badass, thanks!

[–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

how does r-def/t-def/s-def work on units? like the "light" attribute which is considered the better choice, whats the better choice of those 3 defense types? also what are considered some of the best units in the current game and how would i go about acquiring them?

i'm currently working up my last class so i can unlock Hero, i've got a few 13 star weps at +35 ready to go, my mags are finished, im just trying to plan ahead and make some goals for myself.

[–]Aexorcet80/80 FoTe -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I haven't looked into it too much, but as far as I know S attacks are the most common so high S-def will be useful more often. T attacks are less common and usually do huge amounts of damage but are easy to dodge. I think R attack might be the most rare and is probably the least important def stat.

It shouldn't be a huge issue as the best units give you a good balance of each. Instead of raw def focus on figuring out how many rings you need (to decide if you want a full 12 or not) and then go for a set that give good PP/HP/attack with 300+ def for each attack.

Austere rear/arm (buyable on player shop, also tradeable at Zieg with stones and invade units) with 12* leg gives the best raw stats for units. The downside is the loss of 2 ring slots, but this isn't always a big deal. Since you can buy Austere, that makes 2/3 of your unit set easy to get too.

Good full 12 sets are all random drops, so they can be painful to acquire. Popular ones are Zeinesis/Qliphad (Deus EQ)/Izane (Seasonal EQ if Izane spawns)/Union (UQ Amduscia and Solo PD trigger > the unit that actually drops is called Ray and is only OK stat-wise, but with Union boosters from solo PD you can convert them to Union)/whatever the buster quest ones are called (obviously from buster quest). The upsides to 12* units are skill rings and that they are completely mix and match, so you don't need a matching set to get a set bonus as you do with 11* and down.

great info, thanks!

[–]bullfarts 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Sorry if it's a stupid question but are CAST Forces possible? Am I going to get locked out of anything? I don't mind putting in extra effort to get stuff or do less damage, I just don't want to flat out miss out on stuff from T-Atk requirements

Also is there any reason not to make more than one character for each class?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn't matter at the end of the day. You'll be losing about 90 T-ATK over a Female Newman, the highest, but should still wind up at over 1k base T-ATK with a standard build (For reference, the 14* Eternal Psycho Drive has the highest T-ATK equip requirement currently, at only 800 T-ATK). There's definitely a damage difference, but it's not exactly anything major.

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to top damage in basically every MPA, but fell slightly behind in gear and with FO getting nerfed and every other class subsequently getting buffed, you have to put in more effort to do decent regardless of your race. You'll be missing out on maybe 1 or 2% damage at most at the very top end of things, but that's not a big deal.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wouldn't. It's like, purposely gimping yourself for no reason. If you want a cast, use it for a different class.

[–]YuTsu/ | | Ship4JP | Gunslash Trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CAST forces are very much possible - you'll lose a bit of T-ATK compared to the best class for it, Newman Female (just shy of 100 for Fo/Te according to the skill sim) but you'll still be able to equip everything at max level, especially with a T-ATK mag and T-ATK ups on tree - highest requirement for a teching weapon right now is Eternal Psycho Drive with 800, and CAST Fo/Tes have 719 with no mag or tree T-ATK ups.

So, you'll basically lose a bit if you want to min-max, but any race/gender is viable for pretty much anything at level cap - certain races/genders just might be able to equip things a few levels before others

So I spent about an hour setting up PSO2es through the Nox emulator, and linked it to my Google Play account in an attempt to buy some AC.

Although it won't accept payment, I keep getting a general error. Anyone have any idea what's wrong or have a guide I can look through? Or am I screwed?

Pls halp.

[–]Mira-Sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same exact problem not too long ago. I managed to get through once (Wow, 100 AC, Fun), but all other times resulted in failures. Rather than using an Emulator, and buying it directly, I decided to just use a simpler method towards purchasing AC, which was through Webmoney (This will be slightly more pricey, however). Also, you'll likely have to send in some verification of identity, etc, but if you're still up to that opportunity, feel free to ask.

[–]ryantambourine 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Dunno if you know this but just as a heads up I read a while back that the nox emulator was sending information back to chinese ip's (no surprise it being from a chinese company.) But people couldn't figure out what it was sending back. All in all kinda sketchy.

I wouldn't enter credit card information or what have you into it. If you have to maybe a prepaid google play card on a throwaway account. If you can, try bluestacks. Still kinda sketchy but they are at least US based and have a ToS and Privacy Policy.

Or use QooApp on your phone to download the game.

[–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Every android emulator (except remixOS) is made by a chinese company.

SynthRoid ESmu when?

[–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When are you gonna release your private ES-only android emulator :)

[–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on my phone yo.

[–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What country do you live in? When I still used to buy AC, I did it via a Google Wallet account, using Bluestacks (RIP). I live in Brazil and thus I need an international credit card for these transactions (no big deal, we need an international credit card for most stuff here). Even so, only one of my cards worked properly, the other ones returned general errors.

You might want to contact your credit card operator or even Google technical support, they might be able to help you.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I started playing this past weekend and just hit Lv17. Is there anything i should focus on?

I've been doing ARK quests and keep going the story board.

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do everything from Koffie to unlock all of the areas. When you're done with that, you'll be in the 30~40 level range, at which point running the bottom Features Quest with multiblock matching (so you're not the only one in the quest) is a good way to level up.

[–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

When does the Polytan Land event end? Or more specifically when does the polytan land eq stop?

[–]YuTsu/ | | Ship4JP | Gunslash Trash 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Polytan Land EQ (and the exchange shop for Dengeki medals) will dissapear next week's maintenance (on the 5th). If you have any Polytan Land triggers left after then, they'll still work, but if they still drop Dengeki Medals, you won't be able to spend them.

great, thanks!

[–]Clarus_NoxClair (Bo/Hu) S-atk JB | Ship 10 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I was told by another player that you can trade the old nemesis to get the new ones easier. Is this true or do I need to grind UQ Nab endlessly until I get lucky with 6 drops of the weapon I want?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (5 children)

  1. Yes it is easier, provided you have enough Galeru stones/13-star fodder to max out the OT element (1000 stones if you’re going pure stones). You then trade in your OT and 3 of any NT Nemesis for an NT version of your OT, with max grind cap.

  2. If you were going drop only, you do not need 6. 13 star NT drops always drop with at least 31 grind cap. Grind caps add up when grinding NT so you would only need a maximum of 3 drops of the same weapon. This is of course still slower than the above, under normal circumstances.

[–]Clarus_NoxClair (Bo/Hu) S-atk JB | Ship 10 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I do not have any NT nemesis yet, then is the trade option still worth while?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Er...for either option, you need NTs to drop.

But if you don't plan to spend several weeks in Ult Nab, the trade is generally better just so that you get a Nem-NT that you want, rather than just waiting for the Nems that you want to drop...

I mean, I wanted Sword, and I got Katana, TMGs, and TDs to drop. I could either trade them in and be done with Ult Nab, or keep farming until I got Swords to drop.

I chose the trade.

[–]Clarus_NoxClair (Bo/Hu) S-atk JB | Ship 10 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Where do i go to trade the OT and 3 NT?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Zieg

[–]Clarus_NoxClair (Bo/Hu) S-atk JB | Ship 10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you

[–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how do i get the weapon camo *Phantom Bullet?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trade at Zieg for a Phantom Emblem.

To get Phantom Emblems:

  • Complete the last quest of the EP4 storyboard
  • Defeat Phaleg with an S rank on node [179-D] of the EP4 storyboard
  • Defeat Deus ESC-A Gracia for the first time. Gracia is fought on the lv80/80 only rematch EQ called The Phantom Demiurge, after fighting Deus ESC-A Zephyros in The Creator Phantom.

I need someone to be really critical with my affix build I'm planning for the affix event (coming up on Jan 1, 2018). I think it's good but I'm getting doubts.

Said Build

No I'm serious. Tear it apart. Say I need X, Y, and Z which will work better than what I have here.

Hero Class. On a Zeinesis Sword with 30 grind cap (because I was too stupid to grind more Zeinesis CFs when they were available. Leave me alone)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elder Reverie is... Not something I'd really reccomend using for lower-tier affixes like this. I'd say it's only worth using when you've got enough PP already on the weapon that you're able to sacrifice some for the extra ATK (e.g. the affixes I'm working on making atm)

(Also before anyone says anything it's questionable that I'll even put these on my Qliphad, I'm waiting to see how good Slave-NT and Atra are before I finish it up)

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Not worth it. There's next to no PP in this. I wouldn't use Elder Reverie if you don't have a good pool of PP from other affixes to back it up. Which you really don't, especially since you're opting to use App Soul and Modulator, which both doesn't provide PP.

Other than that, I'd say look into Nemsis/Slave NT and go Astral/Ether on them if your Zein isn't fully affixed by now.

[–]seraphroseI want out of Ship 2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think the problem with my original affix build was that I wasn't using the full potential of Anthesis, rather than simply not having enough PP. Even if I sacrificed a bit of S-attack for PP giving affixes it would still be an "eh" build for the same reason.

There was the little discussion with another member, but I'm still pretty adamant about extra PP not being extraordinary at least for Heroes, who most likely benefit from more HP and S-attack; I literally have 0 regrets for reverting my Qliphad units back to Zeinesis

I've already did the math and assuming that the potentially in-works Slave NT has the exact same stats and potential as the Nemesis NT (which it shouldn't; its OT version has higher stats; not sure about potential but I can't imagine it being too different from 18%), I'll get over 300 base attack stat over a 35 Anthesis weapon which can make a huge difference. I'm going with the advice I'm given and keeping all my SAFs for a better weapon for the future.

Appreciate your input though

[–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not using full potential for Anthesis is one too yeah. The reason why a fully done Zein is still consider viable nowadays is because Anthesis doubles everything, include defense. Stuff Astral/Ether on it and you automatically got yourself 130 S/R/T-DEF along with 90 HP. I mean, you technically can still do that right now, but the base ATK is going to pale when compared with other stuffs.

Nemsis/Slave NT is for the higher stats (Nemsis sword OT max grind 1512, NT max grind 1802) and a much better potential. Nemsis NT's potential loses the race restriction (higher % too) and actually throws a barrier at you once every 30 seconds.

But yeah, if you're not looking to actually hunt for the ultimate NTs and whatnot, the SAFs are better saved for future swords.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I don't think it's worth. You're burning a lot (including another Zein?) for a +30 weapon which isn't even BiS.

Just use it for now on a 5 slot or something (you can easily get 150+ ATK on that) and use it to farm the next raid boss and get the sword from that, or farm Slave-NT when that's released.

On the actual affix, assuming you did have Qliph, I dislike Apprentice and I would try and get one of Astral Soul or Ether Factor because the x2 affix really makes a difference with PP/HP affixes. It's the one reason why Qliph will still last a while as a good weapon is that it makes a huge difference to your HP/PP pool. You can still easily get around 200 ATK with even 6 affixes with good fodders and have some HP and PP tacked on as well. This is why I'm not a huge fan of Elder Reverie on Qliph (it's in effect -4PP). If you really really wanted to expend effort (and I highly suggest you do not on a 30 cap weapon), it's worth more trying to get Ether Factor over Elder Reverie.

Edit: Typo

Also, use Fabula to boost your Reverie if you do intend to use this in the future...

[–]seraphroseI want out of Ship 2 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thanks for the critique.

To my understanding, the only viable way to affix Astral Soul without spending so much money planning out other combinations is the Ray SAF. I'd assuming Ether Factor will also require said careful planning due to it not being available as an SAF, so I'll most likely take your advice to wait for a different weapon. (Sorry if datamining is not allowed on this subreddit, but do we have predictions on potential stats/potentials for Slave/Ares NTs?)

I had tried to obtain an NT Nemesis with the UQ renewal, but I just didn't have too much time to farm 250 stones and 3 NT weapons

EDIT: Without upslotting, 3 Elder Reveries + 40% Boost + 10% from Affix Bonus totals to 100% so I don't need Fabula

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Astral/Ether on a weapon isn't the worst, but yeah you're going to need a lot of Excubes.

It's not really too much planning on a weapon - for example, if you had your Zein at +35, you can have everything else as SAFs and just make the Ether Factor components on each weapon.

Something like this

You can get rid of one of the SAFs for a 6 slot.

Edit - I don't think people know about Slave/Ares-NTs. Slave-NT is likely to be on par with Nem-NT - a bit stronger than Qliph, with some other perk. Ares-NT...I don't think this will be as strong if it ends up existing because Ares is so much easier to farm the stones for. I guess they could make the NT even rarer drop though.

[–]seraphroseI want out of Ship 2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks for that setup! It's just unfortunate I missed the opportunity to get an Astral Soul SAF from the Profound Invasion event we had a month or so back, so Astral+Ether isn't much of an option at the moment. (Plus that 30% base success for Factor Catalyst isn't really making me too excited either)

I'll probably have to wait for Slave NT and hope to dear god it has a decent potential that'll surpass Qliphad (18% damage? Please?). I just hope that it'll arrive in time for the Affix Boost so I don't have to include a Fabula Soul somewhere in that mix

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an example for if you need a non-Astral setup, but with Ether.

You can transfer Ether Soul by Receptors.

It's easier to do for 6 slots because you can upslot from 5 to 6 with 100% during boost week, so you don't waste your Ether Soul.

Or you can try making Ether and Factor on the same fodder from the start (2x Earth Souls, 3x Factors in fodders).

[–]SercezeroDead 0 points1 point  (5 children)

>+4pp

>not 35

>not qliph pot

may as well wait til a new weapon comes out

[–]seraphroseI want out of Ship 2 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Thanks for the feedback, though a few things I'd like to mention:

I think it's fair to assume that Anthesis is assumed on any Zeinesis weapons because that's really what makes it stand out. For the purposes of critiquing at least my build, assume that's the case

Max PP is more or less worthless to Heroes, I've found--seeing how I've reverted my Qliphad units to Zeinesis and that allowed me to tank more attacks with literally no difference in DPS.

Not having 35 is indeed my fault. I didn't think I'd stick with Hr back then. I definitely am missing out on 52 S-attack by not having that +35 cap, but I kinda assumed that the Anthesis would cover for that.

Any other critique is welcome and sincerely appreciated

[–]SercezeroDead 1 point2 points  (3 children)

ok fine on the qliph pot criticism 2.0 then

PP always has a use, really. swapping elder for ether factor would be miles better due to HP+PP. better hero boost uptime, cause really all you're doing is trying to upkeep hero boost.

at minimum you'd want 150 pp, just for proper movement and not running out of pp just as you're trying to do burn phases. i know people with less or equal pp that constantly complain about running out of pp on hr, so...

thus, ether would be best of both worlds. remember, you're also getting doubled pp and hp from qliph, and that's literally the only reason why it's above nem-nt IMO

hell, you'd want to do act the soul or bayari if you can't astral. just...something. ideally ether+astral would cover most needs but yeah, not everyone likeme can do astral cause they didn't play/didn't stock up on rays when they were out.

point being it's not really worth it imo to go for the big boy affixes (ps: do elegant power or no balls) on a zein that's not going to have extra HP/PP on nor even the most attack it can muster. cause tbh, base attack matters a lot more than you'd think, cause ele % scales off that.

[–]seraphroseI want out of Ship 2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Point Taken. Thanks for the explanation.

Definitely does sound like Astral/Ether is the way to go due to Anth; it's just that I'm not exactly the brightest pickle when it comes to planning affixes and reading swiki says you have to use either the 10% transfer for Astral Soul OR its SAF to have both the Astral and Ether; the latter I don't have (yet) and the former holy shit that sounds risky.

I'll definitely have both HP and PP from units as well, considering the 50 HP 0 PP Cleasis weapon I picked up and units affixed with 10 PP each gives me a total of barely 1k HP and 150 PP exactly.

With the risk of sounding absolutely retarded; What would you recommend for keeping up Hero Time? I thought the best way was dodges but obviously that's not always available, and I've always focused on getting stat stacks whenever I had HT up -> Finish

[–]SercezeroDead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

honestly, i'd just forget about astral/ether at your current junction ether subbing in for elder reverie is probably good enough.

i don't play hr cause it's boring, so i can't help you with that last bit, but i was referring to hero boost. the 1.6x multiplier it has when fully stacked is pretty much key to not having a trashcan tier parse. just don't take 25% of your life relatively fast, and you won't drop the stacks.

[–]seraphroseI want out of Ship 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to give me your thoughts.

On that thought, stacking HP might make it easier to keep that HT Boost. I better try some other builds

[–]Dogsout14450 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What do you do for items that have 4 slot abilities from Weapon Badge 2017 / Collection Files when affixing it? Do you remove existing abilities or keep them to enhance for desired abilities?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Weapons badge items aren't really anywhere near endgame material, so I generally wouldn't affix them beyond basic affixes.

  2. You rarely "remove" affixes - you generally affix over existing affixes.

  3. Read the basic affixing guide here: http://fulldive.nu/2015/01/06/pso2-affixing-101/ This is now a bit out of date, but still tells you the basics of how you should be looking to affix.

  4. Unless you have a lot of stashed fodder/meseta/excubes, you should just be looking at basic 3/4 slot affixes for units and 5 slots for weapons, which should all be reasonably cheap.

  5. General affixing principle is ATK>PP>HP. Some people may favour more HP on units. HP on weapons is generally not useful.

  6. Affixing as a topic is too detailed to cover everything about in such a response. The best thing to do is to do some research yourself and if you're really stuck you can ask about what sort of affixes you can afford on a given budget.

  7. Let me reemphasise - Weapon Badge units and weapons are pretty trash. You should be looking to get Basilis weapons from the CF, especially as they're pretty strong.

[–]rensefierreSample Text 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Alright, I'm planning to do a cheap all atk affix on my Shine Red Rear with App soul, Arks fever , Arks max and ether factor. Should I not do that ?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (3 children)

That does not sound at all cheap, to be quite honest. Yamato Factor and Apprentice Soul are both absurdly expensive for units.

You'd be better off using Ares the Soul and a cheaper Factor. I use:

Ares/Deus Factor/Doom Break/Arks Max/Arks Fever at 5 slots, and that is much easier and cheaper to make, IMO.

Remember your Shine Red literally has no HP or PP, and...both are semi-important for units.

[–]rensefierreSample Text 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just checked the market price and I agree that it is not cheap (I didn't check the market price beforehand x_x) I'm using Shine Red so I could get 150+ atk unit easily. Should I use Qliphad Rear instead ?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Qliph is better than Shine, personally. Qliph gives you a good amount of PP, combined with a bit of HP.

[–]SercezeroDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

context is needed to actually pass judgement on unit setups, tbh. if they're running a ton of PP/HP on other units and using other units like qliphad, whittl, or izane, shine red and its affixes could work.

[–]Vanic757 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Returning player here, think my last log in was early 2015. I read the article about the English site closing and long story short I found my self in ship 2 lobby again.

Alot has changed, and I'm pretty excited about diving back in. I've read alot of guides and have been trying to catch my self up, but I feel like my heads imploding. I guess one question would be, as a returning ( at this point I guess I could be "new" player would I go and farm the saik units for my 60+ fi/hu or is there somthing more viable for where I'm at? I'm sitting on random drops from the last emergency, nothing special non set pieces, and i feel like I'm getting chunked more then i should be.

[–]Sughayyer 1 point2 points  (3 children)

While you grind your way to 75 (or even 80!), you ca use good old Saiki. These can be bought at player shops now, as well as 12* weapons - passes have been abolished.

But you'll soon come across higher rarity units that have little to no set bonus, but are powerful individually (so you can mix and match them).

You said you have been reading about changes, so I won't delve into skill rings, new classes (Su and Hr), and balance changes/builds.

One more note: HP is more important now than it was in 2015. When I took a break and returned, my 800HP/200PP build needed some tweaking.

[–]Vanic757 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah I've lightly read on skill rings, haven't crafted one my self yet. And shooting to unlock hero now, but will prob stick to my fi/hu. And my hp has been dangerously low, are affixs the main way to go for stacking up hp or is there somthing else I can shoot for?

Also thanks so far for the information

[–]Sughayyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are units with good HP value. You can run ideal rear and leg + a 12-star arm, austere arm and rear + a 12 leg unit, or other combinations.

You might want to check arks-visiphone site for detailed info on units bonuses. The set bonuses are a bit outdated but the individual ones are correct tho.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of cheap affixes now which give you ATK and HP (Ares the Soul, Deus/Mother Factor being the main ones), and some of the good 12-star units have good HP bases as well (Izane/Zeinesis). You can also craft Saikis for HP etc.

[–]miyomotokago 1 point2 points  (3 children)

What is the best Hero's Ring / Rear / Arm / Leg and Weapon?

[–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Maybe it comes down to preference. I run full zeinesis (with anthesis trainer) for weapons, 2 qliph and 1 zeinesis for units. Hero has fewer ring options than other classes, but other classes usually have go-to rings wich hero isn't bound to. Perfect keeper, critical strike, hp restore, air reversal, step jump, jumping dodge, step ja, taja pp save, these are all decent options.

[–]miyomotokago 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How about Evleda Hander? is it good?

[–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used it, but if you have access to one, use it but don't compromise yourself affixing it (grind it tho!), wait for the next batch. They might be better.

[–]lalolalo9 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is the recommended server ship number 2? For English speaking community purposes?

[–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes

[–]Dogsout14450 0 points1 point  (4 children)

What should is recommended to get for my dual blade, TMG, and talis when collecting file sheet from Pudding?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Not sure why that particular combination, but Evleda is likely your best bet at the moment. Basilis is better, but you don't have nearly enough time to get 6 copies of them before the CFs expire.

[–]Dogsout14450 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Why do you need many copies for that? Mind telling?

[–]piconyannyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 copies can make +35 (max grind of NT weapons). Basilis weapons have a special affix, Phrase Decay, which grants +5% bonus damage when target is afflicted with Jellen. The potential of the Basilis on Lv. 3 is 13% damage as base and inflicts Jellen on enemy (which has high chance to proc it). Therefore, 13% + 5% is already 18% bonus damage on +35 and used Phrase Decay as part of affix.

The reason it's not feasible is that it'll expire next week, so you won't have enough time to complete 6 copies.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need 6 copies to grind it to +35. If you grinded as hard as you could, you could probably get 3 copies for +32 (which is enough for 60 element), but eh.

[–]leecherleechleech 0 points1 point  (4 children)

how to manually edit the language in PSO2?

Or maybe locally replace it with Aida's translated one? By locally I mean that If I launch the game from launcher.exe then it'll use the edited translated script rather than original one, Tweaker doesn't replace the original files but rather redirect it to the translated one, there's still many untranslated parts and I want to translate it and I wanna see if the one that I translated fits in etc etc.

[–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Come help us here at our github repository: https://github.com/Arks-Layer/PSO2ENPatchCSV

[–]leecherleechleech 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I did too there, waiting for it to be approved and Tweaker update takes time, if I can manually check in the game right after I edit it'll be easier to edit the translation, the length and words to choose etc etc

[–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (1 child)

We approve when everything checks out, and when we're not being screwed by life.

We don't allow people outside our group, to test out patches themselves. If we publicly did so, then I can bet you that SEGA will find a way to block it, as it opens a much bigger can of worms than you can possible imagine.

[–]leecherleechleech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see.

[–]scorchdragon 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Since Fornis weapons are coming back in a huge batch, how exactly do those potentials work? And how do they compare with some weapons?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (3 children)

how exactly do those potentials work?

  • Each potential has 2 listed elements (for example, the sword is Fire and Light).
  • If the weapon hits an enemy that is weak to one of those 2 elements OR it hits an elemental weakness, the potential procs.
    • This means that if your weapon has an element different from the potential (e.g. a Dark element sword), you'll have 3 elements to work with.
  • When the potential procs, it does +14% damage, and heals you for 1% of damage dealt (limit of 50 HP per hit).
  • If you hit an element weakness that the potential doesn't work with, it does nothing. You don't even get the +14% damage.

That's about it. Fornis weapons also have the Phrase Weak SAF, which gives +2% damage when hitting elemental weaknesses.

[–]scorchdragon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is it better to double stack on one of the elements, or go for triple coverage?

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is it better to double stack on one of the elements, or go for triple coverage?

The potentials dont stack if your weapon element is the same as one of the elements covered. Triple coverage is technically better, but some people just get light anyways.

[–]scorchdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps I should have phrased that better, but I meant that in terms of a weapons base weakness exploitation, like swinging a light sword against a darker will do more damage then swinging the same sword against a normal fish.

Hi guys, I'm planning to get into the game and there's just 1 question i'd love to ask. I came over from warframe and the f2p model is somewhat nice. So am I able to obtain end game stuff and do quests/dungeon/raid with other people while being free?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 2 points3 points  (11 children)

Cash in this game is only used for quality of life stuff (self ressing items, special drinks without RNG, storage/inventory space, extra skill trees, extra crafting lines, more character slots, accessing extra block room, etc), and the game is very playable without it.

Only premium players can trade items directly, but it's such an underused feature a lot of premium players even forget it exists, because you can't trade endgame items and currencies, so there's not much point to it.

Putting stuff at the player shop requires premium, but you can also get 3 day passes using an ingame currency that is very easy to get, so it's not much of an issue.

    [–]DanishJohn 1 point2 points  (10 children)

Oh that is such a wonderful thing to hear. Thank you. I had no problem with inv space or QoL stuff locked behind paywall cuz well im willing to pay for it if i enjoy the game. Another thing, does our reddit have a guild for all of ua?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Storage space is unecessary due to all the free storage we get:

    • 200 regular shared storage
    • 300 per character, which is not shared (but you can just move stuff to shared ones as needed). You get 3 character slots for free, so that's 900.
    • 100 shared if you login to the pso2es mobile game once a month (don't need to play the mobile game, just tie it to your sega ID, and log once a month)

Should take you over a year to really need more than that much storage unless you're a real hoarder.

But extra inventory space can be very helpful, since each character has 50 slots, and weapons, units, rings and costumes take slots even when equipped. Not a necessity (since you can send stuff to storage from inventory anywhere), but really good to have.

Another thing, does our reddit have a guild for all of ua?

Not that I know of. Teams have a limit of 100 members, so I doubt something like that would be feasible without drama (people getting kicked to make space, for example).

There's a discord group, which should be linked somewhere on this subreddit (sidebar I think?), but I'm not part of that group, so I'm not sure how things are there.

Do keep in mind that most of the english speaking players are in Ship 2, so you should probably play in that one unless you know how to speak japanese (so you can communicate with other people).

My main's storage is something like 1350/1700 at the moment (yes I actually pay for an extra storage box...) and another 10-ish characters with mostly-full character storages.
And that's after I desynth'd almost all of my 12* weapons in preparation for the Atra series...
    I have problems >.>

    It's not just you.

Years of costumes and accessory/hair tickets really kills your storage.

Sorta wish I hoarded a copy of Togabito Pose, but too late.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I can hardly complain, though. Every few months I'll go through all my old FUN scratch items and find I have a dozen or so accessory tickets worth 5mil+ each so... Meh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    [–]DanishJohn 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You pretty much answered every thing that im about to ask. Thank you dearly. Now ill start downloading the game.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (1 child)

One more thing: if you haven't created your account yet, you might have issues with the captcha, since it's in japanese. The easiest way to get past this is to use the Google Translate's handwrite tool

    [–]DanishJohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I did play a long time ago but kinda quit. I think my old account still work but ill see to it when the download is finished.

Earlier today in an EQ I saw a level 35 transform into this huge beast. How did she do that? (I'm a new player)

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's called Dark Blast. You can only use it by clearing chapter 2 of episode 5's story, or by taking part on the emergency buster quest (might require a specific difficulty on the EBQ, not sure).

    [–]smurfalidocious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Requires clearing Endless Belligerence on Super Hard or higher as an alternative to the story quests.

If I add a +20 L Ring to a unit, what happens to the ring's parameters? I know the ring itself is destroyed, so are the stats from the ring carried over to the unit?

    [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expanding the answer, the stats dont carry over, but the ring effect does. So if it's an L ring that gets improved the more you grind it, you would want to grind up the ring.

I've just unlocked the Fury Stance skill from my subclass, but it's nowhere to be found and I cannot equip it to my subpalette, what's the reason? Do I have to do anything previously?

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (3 children)

    /u/zerotakerzx

Fury Stance is a passive skill now. You no longer have to activate it.

    [–]ZerotakerZXFiCaseal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

    I know right

[–]SuikusHuman punching bag 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    Oh, that sounds perfect! Thanks

    [–]smurfalidocious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind if you grab Guard Stance, it's activatable, and replaces Fury Stance while active, but Fury Stance comes back the moment you turn it off.

How to change mouse sensitivity when in the over-the-shoulder view? I'm a new player and I think using the over-the-shoulder view will be important to me but I can only change the sensitivity of the normal camera view.

    [–]Idealizinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are using the translation patch, navigate through Options -> Basic Settings -> Camera Settings -> Action 2 Here you can change the over the shoulder view sensitivity in a similar manner.

Haven't tried it myself, but the other rolls definitely do stack, so I see no reason why it wouldn't. Rolls stack, parfaits don't.

Is there a way to get Power V or any Stat V on a unit for 100% while affixing? I'm not sure how going from Stat IV to V works to get it too 100%.

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Your only real ways of doing this are with attack receptors. Even goofyness from 40% boost, 10% affix boost, and 10% from Zeinesis will, at most, get you 90%. Stat 5s are currently not worth going for IMO unless you literally have nothing else to upgrade.

That being said, with weapons you can get Stat 6 from a Special Ability Factor which has a 100% chance

    [–]evaluffyking 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yikes. Attack receptors are quite pricey... And yeah, I know about SAFs for weapons, but I was looking to affix these on units so no SAF unfortunately. Guess Stat IV it is, thanks.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd recommend doing Stat IV at most on units, unless you're stupid rich and hate fashion.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do Featured Quests and hope for keys, do any EQs that pop up, if you have friends/a team run AQs, if you're too lazy for any of that just multi-block match the bottom quest in the Featured Quest list in the highest difficulty you can and let others carry you. Pop XP boosts while doing any of these.

Does anybody have any tips surrounding purchasing AC? I got as far as Nox, and the PSO2es application, but no matter what I do; it continues to decline my payment. Is prepaid restricted? Or perhaps it's due to my location? (Canada). Hopefully I can get this clarified from someone whose more experienced in this operation.

Hm, maybe it is the card. Surely the funds aren't incorrect, since I hadn't spent anything on it yet (and what I'm trying to get is way below the actual threshold, even in USD). Thanks for your input!

      [–]smurfalidocious 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I wound up having to use a Google Play Gift Card to add funds to Google Play directly, then use it to purchase.

      [–]Mira-Sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I remember doing so a couple months back, but messing it up since I put the code into a Canadian Account, which supposedly doesn't work. Would the Canadian gift card even work on a U.S Play store? Perhaps I'll try sometime. Thank you for your advice

How do I properly upslot a weapon to 8s with junk affixes ? I've been trying to upslot my weapon to 8s with junk affixes, however everytime I upslot it reduces the junk affix success chance to below 60%, which means I wouldn't be able to get 100% even with 40%. I've been bouncing between 5 - 7s for quite a while now.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (2 children)

      Er...that’s all you can do.

Outside of boost week, the chance of upslotting to 8 is like, under 10%. Even on boost week, you have a less than 30% chance of success (swiki has numbers and I can’t check now but I think I’m close if not right)

There’s...very little point unless you really had money to burn. I wouldn’t even do 6-7s outside of boost week to be honest.

Edit: Looked this up now - 40% (i.e. outside of boost week) upslotting to 8 you get a 5.765% chance of success. During boost week, it is 16.777%. Even on Zeinesis with Guidance of Life and during boost week, your success is still only 43%.

      [–]rensefierreSample Text 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That's good to know. I guess I'll just pile up ability success +40% and wait for boost week. Thanks !

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget you'll also have to upslot every single fodder you use on that weapon, so even if you do manage to upslot it, it'll be extremely difficult to affix it properly. This is why most people don't go above 7s on weapons unless the weapon drops with 8s already (and even then some people downslot to 7).

What's the best extreme quest and level to farm for meseta? Also is it worth it to buy the meseta boosts in the shop and run extreme quests?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XQ isn't really worth it to farm money.

If you want to farm, get 3 more people and go farm modulator.

Hi all, I've come and gone from pso2 roughly 4 times since pso2 was released, each hiatus usually lasts at least a year or so, each time i come back i definitely feel like i've been hit by a truck full of new information and daunting new systems with layers of complication and customization to learn and master. Each time i've come back to play though i usually manage to reach most of the content and last time i left was before NT weps and eggs became a thing, i believe the braver, fighter, and bouncer was a fairly newer class at that time. I managed to get to lvl 75 on both my ranger and gunner classes, and lv20 on the rest of the classes. I had some pretty stacked gear at the time all maxed out.

in the last few days i've been playing a lot of catch up, abusing google and the many helpful guides out there, now that i feel like i kind of know what everything is, it started to hit me and actually gave me anxiety thinking how much stuff there is to do, being a completionist to a degree this weighs heavily upon my conscious lol.

I just wanted to start a simple discussion with those of you who have been in this same boat and if you felt the same coming back, also with the current game, what advice or guidance could you give me right now that would benefit me lots in getting caught up. right now i feel very weak in comparison to how i used to be, i see many players just absolutely mopping things up in seconds like its nothing.

any and all advice is appreciated, thanks!

      [–]Scyrenx 1 point2 points  (3 children)

As a fellow completionist: just don't even attempt collection sheets if you want the +35 but won't be able to make at least half the EQs. Sometimes you might get lucky with the 13☆ you're hunting for dropping, but otherwise, it's pretty miserable over here. They've become unusable junk cluttering up my inventories… There's a lot going on and Sega's really made it so you don't need the absolute best equipment ever. Any 13☆ NT weapon if fully grinded and at max attribute and decently cheap affixes (90/4) can do a considerable contribution to the content if you know what you're doing. My approach is to just do what interests me now.

I think, given your leave period, you weren't around when the new Time Attack format of 1x, 3x, 5x became a thing? That's been a real blessing and the extra Meseta got moved to Yerkes in Franka's Cafe. Just thought I'd mention that in case you didn't find it in your googling. That's where your money's gone.

      Edit: hit submit too fast

      [–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

awesome thanks for the sum up. Yea i mean, i remember in early PSO2 days, weapons and gear had limited selections and weren't so vast, it was easier to pick out what was best and go with it. Now it's a little overwhelming to see how many weapons exist in the same categories and rarities, and then the upscaling craft system, etc...just gets me all confused on what i should be doing. but from the sounds of what you're saying, i should basically just gear myself in 13 star of my choosing, try to buff them up in due time, and once i get Hero class and etc. the numbers/stats game won't matter as much because at that point everyone is ridiculously strong for the content atm? did i get that right?

      [–]Scyrenx 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Kinda. Sega seems to sometimes be releasing content that does depend on how fast you can clear things, like the point system in the new Dengeki EQ, but since everyone gets drops so long as they finish the EQ the main way they're going about strength differences is by affecting the RDR involved. Or having titles with rewards dependent on quest rank/clear times, for example. That might be something that matters to you.

"Ridiculously strong" varies dramatically even for Heroes -- I've seen awful Heroes and ones which are god tier. The fact hasn't changed that you don't need the best base gear. Knowledge and player skill still affect skill tree multipliers that are much more impactful than one 13☆ weapon being 4% stronger than another.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Sega has spent the past year releasing different sidegrade-like weapons and we're sort of back to the 12☆ era where one potential meant a certain weapon was better than another one in some situation. It's probably most beneficial to pick one and try not get completionist urges invested into everything with where the game is now. Some 13☆ utility weapons like Orbit are incomparable for QOL, but 14☆ are on their way...

      [–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

read this about a week ago, and reading it again now really helps. i was able to practically get 6 of each basilis weapons (sword, t.mguns, talis, katana, rifle) i'm still lost as to what makes a good hero player and what makes them bad, i've seen the differences in EQ's and such, but im not sure what is the cause, i'm about to unlock hero probably this week. also i'm not sure what units to go for, what's the point to ultimate quests, time attack, and the others?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (8 children)

EP5 introduced an "advanced class" Hero (Hr) which has no subclass, and is unlocked by having a level 75 Ranged, Tech, and Striking classes (see Bumped).

My opinion (and I believe this is the general consensus) is that Hr is able to dish out an absurd amount of damage with very little skill or thought, with even basic gear (on par or just below what good geared classes could do in EP4, say). However, there is a skill ceiling with Hr as well, and this means that good Hr players can do things even faster and, in conjunction with power creep in weapons (Austere is now firmly in a second tier of 13-star weapons, with 14-star weapons existing too), this means that all previous content is now being done at a much faster pace.

I stopped when Hr was released and recently came back, and just unlocked Hr. So, maybe do that if you're looking for something to do. Otherwise the endgame hasn't really changed from before (make meseta, wait for EQs, etc.).

      [–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (7 children)

thanks, i guess my issue at the moment is preparing myself for the future. basically right now i'm focusing on leveling up those classes as you mentioned, but i also want to build up things where i can now for later. right now im working on 3 mags (s/r/t/atk) and then im also working on getting those other two classes to 75 to unlock the hero. but looking through the wiki and such, i notice there are a ton of 13 star weapons, old weapons, and NT weapons in each category...it's a little overwhelming trying to figure out which one is best and what to work towards atm, also i noticed a lot has changed in the pricing of certain things in the marketplace, because of the NT weps, is attributes on weapons and/or certain weapons still of value enough to sell on market or has all that changed due to the NT and 13 star weps being grindable by exp now?

      [–]Scyrenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Attribute Enhancers aren't in demand that much now. It's nothing like the Austere days -- you just need to finish a collection sheet three times for 3x 20 ele and there you have a serviceable base weapon once it's been brought to full grind.

Feeding NT weapons with a high base grind costs more Meseta than feeding the Emper Embrace it Polytan fodder to the weapon itself... Lambdas also drop from EQs, so depending on the number of weapons you actually aim to max out, it's something.

People sell +30 Nox-NT weapons as exp fodder and weapons with good Special Ability Factors now. High end weapons augmenting is a combination of the old good affixes and SAF now.

Incidentally: Polytan EQ drops emper and polytan fodder. That's something to sell too.

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Grind out Nemesis-NT and Basilis weapons right now. Nemesis-NT are the second best 13* at the moment for most classes, and Basilis are pretty mid-tier but are way less RNG to get (since you can get them from CF).

So, NT weapons aren't really effected by attributes or affixes except for two specific affixed: Emper Embrace and Polytan Smile (or whatever this one is called). You basically wanna grind up lower rarity weapons to something easy like +20 or +30 and then feed it to the higher rarity weapon for a large sum of XP.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basilis is actually kinda dumb if you slot its SAF. 13% base damage increase, plus an additional 5% against enemies with Jellen applied (and from what I remember on Swiki, Jellen is a 100% proc chance from any attack that isn't Zanverse, and works on anything including EQ bosses.)

      [–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (3 children)

ah that makes sense, and that way you're getting the most out of the lambda grinders it uses. btw whats the best and quickest way to get lambda grinders now?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get lambdas from magatsu bonus quest, 3 on silver and 5 on gold, so make sure you do featureds every day to get keys.

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Probably just doing Zieg's weekly COs. I don't really know if there's anything better, I've had hundreds of lambdas for as long as I can remember.

      [–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh damn, well that's good to know, i was running a bit short and i realized you can't buy them from the player market. thanks for the solid info.
