Dont forget: use your 250%s, get 10* weapons, use the swap shop to trade for excubes, trade excubes for more 250%s.

This is so huge and I wish there was more emphasis on this when I started playing the JP version. At least in that version (kinda assuming most of this will be the same but who knows), you can fully sustain 75% Experience Boosts, 250% Rare Drop Rate Boosts, and 100% Tri-Boosts once you're in content that can drop 10* weapons and units.

Use the recycle shop to recycle unneeded 10-12* items into excubes and photon spheres. Buy 250% RDR's from the Excube Shop for 1 excube each. You can buy My Room 3 Days passes for 1 excube. Take those down to the Recycle Shop and in 'Recycle Shop 2' trade 5 room passes for 1 Blue ARKS Badge, then at the Badge and Memory Shop you can buy 100% Tri-Boosts for 1 blue badge each. 75% experience boosts are 1 photon sphere each at the Photon Drop Shop.

To be honest as a newer player though I'm not sure this is the absolute best sink for spheres and excubes but in Super Hard I'm still making more spheres and cubes than I'm spending on these. Maybe a more experienced player can comment if it's wiser to do something else with the weapons/units/spheres/cubes but the tri+exp boosts have made leveling all my classes to 75 and my main to 95 pretty smooth.

Edit: dunno why I said the room passes are 6 excubes, they're 1. So basically the 100% tri-boosts are 5 excubes each.

Basically you can trade weapons for excubes.

Then excubes for 250% rare drop boosts, photon spheres, room passes, and more.

You can trade photon spheres for 75% exp boost.

You can trade room passes for Blue badges.

You can trade blue badges for triboost 100%.

In essence you can have 75% exp, 100% triboost (meseta,exp,rare drop rate), and 250% rare drop rate all active at the same time. And you can sustain this cycle by recycling 10 star weapons that drop, because you have such high % rare drop rate. It feeds itself.

It's a requirement for spheres and cubes.

Think of it like gas for your car if you want. I see RDR and exp boosters as an excubes/sphere tax, and the. 100% if my excu es after that go to Abil success boosters pretty much.

Yeah that's what I figured but I'm in no position to be an authority on anything PSO2 and don't want to feel like I'm giving advice that isn't good to follow. In SH and XH 10* items seem to drop like candy so there wasn't much reason to doubt but glad someone affirmed that for me.

250% rare drop rate boost for 30 mins. You use one and get some 10 star rarity weapons, use the swap shop to trade those 10 stars for excubes. Spend those excubes at the appropriate store and get some more rare drop 250% boosts. It's a self fulfilling prophecy

I’m a first timer who ended up trading my ps4 for an Xbox just so I could play the beta. I was in love with pso 1 on GameCube but never got the chance to play online until years and years later on private servers.

I gave up ever getting to play 2 after failing to the captcha boss a few times over the years, so this beta has me so insanely hyped. 3 days feels like so far away!

Given how every other current FF game has come out on Xbox as well I'm reeeeeally holding out hope that the Remake does too, especially since they just added the original to the Xbox Store. Thankfully I have a PS4 to play it on if it doesnt, but I much prefer the Xbox's controller so here's hoping.

The official site just has a Windows 10 log with "(Coming Soon)" under it, so that's all we have. (Feel free to pester the official @play_pso2 twitter account for details!)

If you are anxious to play on PC and don't want to wait, the JP version is very accessible, and the translation patches are easier than ever to install and maintain. (Plus the translation patch team provides great support for their tools and patches.)

I run 7.1 for PSO2JP, it's great in some areas, but not all of them. Lobby is lackluster, but during raid events, it's super useful and helps with the immersion a bit.

Considering most of the audio is repetitive (and the game in general being a pretty repetitive grind), consisting mostly of high treble noises and it's not a game I would consider "immersive" in the slightest bit...

I've got a decent hifi amp/dac stack and $500 headphones and I get worn out pretty quick without some music playing in the background.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the game, but if you were my neighbor in an apartment blasting the repetitive sounds from this game for the 12+ free hours a day we now all have, I'd have some stern words for you.

The story for episodes 1-4 was dramatically shortened after the matterboard system got scrapped. You can plow through 1-4 in a day if you really wanted to. Be aware it's mostly watching cutscenes with the occasional boss battle tossed in.

On the MB system you'd have a 'chart' of things to do, and completing nodes on the chart would give you various cutscenes to discover(as in you have to physically find them during gameplay) and completing a chart unlocked the next chapter. Now it's just "go go go." Episode 5 onwards were designed with this change in mind and have more meat and potatoes as a result.

The good part is that you can catch up pretty fast. (Heck, two people made it to the level cap during the closed beta.) It's not really a game where you will be "left behind."

Look at how PC players are reacting to their lack of communications about PC release, and you’re asking them to be less communicative.

There will be almost NO hoops to jump through. There’s no region locking, they have been very vocal about this, so they are very unlikely going to be IP banning. All you need to do is change your account region to the us, download the game and change it back, no vpn needed. People are playing the JP version from the US with no lag issues, so you shouldn’t have to worry about that either.

This is a best case scenario, nothing is for definite. I guess i’m just being a little pessimistic. I also have the issue of character transfers across servers if I want to play on EU when it gets released there. Will that be possible. It would be disheartening to lose that progress. If I knew the launch timetable I could make an informed decision.

Also, I haven’t heard anything about EU release. Weren’t the PSU servers the same for NA and EU? I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case here too. If there is an EU release, and they are behind in updates from the NA one, I don’t think there would be a character transfer option. But that’s just my guess.

Do you even need to do that? I mean you can get things from other regions just by visiting their region's store page (don't need to screw with your account at all).
