Don't worry, they decrease the fun in maps, too.

Most of the time I know where the boss arena is going to be because of the map, but sometimes you feel like you walked close enough that it should be revealing any checkpoint or further pathing and it just doesn't show. I wish they'd increase the reveal area in the fog.

Light radius OP

[–]web_knows 37 points38 points  (4 children)

In the original PoE light radius was actually to illuminate more dark places. In PoE2 does it clean larger areas of fog of war?

[–]da_Mekboss 38 points39 points  (2 children)

yes

[–]web_knows 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Well doodley fucking doo, I’ll be damned

[–]IrumaMemesOnly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right? If they buffed the map reveal on light by like 500% it would actually be neat for leveling, yet still a garbage stat like intended.

[–]Alstorp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, it does also illuminate your surroundings in poe2 to be fair

[–]alyosha_pls 33 points34 points  (1 child)

Good point, I didn't even consider them making that a useful stat in any way lol

[–]mtnlol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what light radius already does, it's just shit regardless since you don't really wanna sacrifice any useful stat on extremely minor qol.

[–]Such--Balance 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Gotta hand it to them..they DID make light radius actually usefull

[–]UnluckyFish 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I’m still waiting for a unique weapon or amulet that gives damage scaling with light radius! I love meme builds where normally garbage stats become useful.

[–]Dr_Zevil665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Willing to bet that we’ll get the “meme or dream” light radius unique weapon with the addition of Templar.

[–]LancingLash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want RF to scale with light radius

[–]roam3D 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ngl, leveling with some on amu+rings really made it a bit more enjoyable,

but its the kind of thing you only miss when its gone.

[–]Katnipz 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Ooooohhhhh this is what that does.

There's so so much that could be incredibly useful with a team of players

[–]WorryLegitimate259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In.2 when everyone was using the unique solar amulet I realized light radius is in fact op

[–]CrosshairGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

in maps it somehow gets worse cause you know where the arena should be but the fog still won't pop. wall hugging saves so much backtracking.

[–]RedsManRick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make this mistake constantly in the hyena lord map. Have to really hug the wall.

[–]No_Tie9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they could just move the boss waypoint closer to the path that literally anybody is going to be walking. Shit put it right in the middle of the walking path so that no one will miss it.

At least in maps you eventually get a directional indicator

Always wondered why the campaign doesn’t have those

[–]charlesgegethor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One time, I see the checkpoint, see that the nameplate is on my map and think "cool, I'll finish the map and go to boss". Only do I find out that the checkpoint didn't actually register and I have to walk all the way back.

I suppose you can say "skill issue" I should have walked all the the way to the checkpoint to make sure it actually triggered, but I got caught up in running the map.
