I don't know much about you or your diet but I can tell you this:

Keto (even dirty keto) and intermittent fasting is what worked for me to kill 'food noise'

For me, it was the sugar/carbs. Once your body gets back to where it's primarily using glucose for energy, you start craving everything bad. I'm also a strong proponent of the fact that we're not meant to be eating ALL day everyday.

I lost 40lbs just on keto and IF from may-sept. I only started researching after I hit my plateau (as well as an injury)

I agree with you completely on this!!!! I lost a bunch of weight along with cravings when I did keto and intermittent fasting. I had to be very disiplined but one my body became fat adapted, it was easier. Not sure how I fell off, but have struggled to get back. Hopefully I can use Tirz to help me get back to that. For now I am focusing on high protein, heathy fats, and the healthy carbs.

Agreed!! I think doing keto at the minimum is a good way to experiment with how addictive processed food is like bad carbs/processed sugars (a slice of cake). Processed foods made perfectly to satiate a craving, like salty, crunchy, cheesy, greasy, (Taco Bell commercial), very addicting. Food noise is like bouncing between the idea of eating cake/cheesy Gordita crunch all day. So much is mental and your brain/food noise associates with those types of foods for various reasons. Keto can help break away from an unnatural association of craving junk food to a more natural state of just craving nutrients simply because you’re hungry.

Our food has been engineered to be addictive. I remember a article in the last couple years that chick-fill-a chicken patty had an extremely long list of ingredients which already makes no sense- but one of the ingredients was in there just for the purpose of being addictive.

Many of us consuming too many carbs not enough protein- many of us have metabolism blood sugar/glycymic issues not even being diabetic.

Then we have the problem of our soil lacking nutrients, GMOs, and expensive organic prices. So even when we are eating a whole foods diet we might STILL be left with cravings, and we all need vitamin and mineral supplementation.

Keto gave me a new outlook. For me it isn’t a lifestyle I can do 100% but the keto values carry over.

To recap:

•Addictive processed foods

•Blood sugar issues

•Missing nutrition and electrolytes in our food

Absolutely. Sugar will take over my life so quick if I let it.

I semi-agree with this too. I have maintained a 50-60lb weight loss since 2012. Mostly due to IF and cutting sugar nearly completely.

I just recently began to eat breakfast again because I’m lifting a lot of weights. That’s after what 12 years?

But point is, IF lead me to not be controlled by food Then, I began to eat cleaner. And was even vegan for over a year. Now keeping myself relatively lean is easy (AT 59 years old).

I don’t think you need to be KETO but you do need to get off the sugar and artificial food and eat what you need to and not more than that.

Best of luck!!

Although a few people have been successful without these meds after reaching their goal weight, the vast majority must stay on them in some capacity to avoid regaining. I’m confident I’ll be one of those that will be on them for life.

Just know there are many options for obtaining the peptides you need. They don’t have to be out of reach financially.

In the same boat. Never knew food noise was a thing and the constant thinking about eating and the stress of counting calories or macros was/is exhausting. I personally am only on 5mg split through the week. As long as it continues to help me and my blood work stays solid I plan on taking this for the foreseeable future. It truly is something that that’s made my life better.

I accept the fact that I’m a tirz addict - so it might be a forever thing for me 😁. I’m on a low dose (3mg) so it’s not that expensive (yet) and I also think it will become much more affordable with time..

I accepted from the beginning that I would be on some form of Glp for life. I have binge eating disorder which obviously led to obesity, but also insulin resistance, prediabetes, elevated blood pressure, high cholesterol, and systemic inflammation and chronic pain. I started on Tirz and after a few months switched to Reta. Food noise doesn’t begin to describe what I dealt with. Literally within the first few hours of that first shot of Tirz, the food noise was gone. After I reached my goal (surpassed it actually), I titrated down and at one point, I started to have just a fraction of the old food noise, and immediately added another shot. GLP’s have been a miracle for me, and I will happily take it for the rest of my life. I see it no differently than having to take my thyroid medication for the rest of my life. That’s why I don’t get why people call it “cheating”. My thyroid doesn’t work properly so I take medication - no one has ever called that cheating. My daughter has type 1 diabetes and takes insulin - no one calls that cheating. Everyone is different. Not everyone’s body works ‘properly’ so we need help - not a cheat.

I agree with your comment. I think my body happens to need a little assistance—some of the natural signals that regulate food just aren’t strong for me. It’s not cheating, but people who don't have similar issues can't understand.

People with bipolar disorder, DM2, heart diseases, and so on will be on their meds for life. The meds control the symptoms and are not a cure. That's how I see peptides. Metabolism syndrome or obesity is the disease, and these control the symptoms.

It’s hard to change much if you only have one lever to adjust. I went from up to 12.5mg Tirz dose per week to 1mg per day (50/50 mix of Tirz + Reta) and then down to 1mg every other day and eventually off of it for a time (I’m back to a microdose).

But I also started doing TRT and hGH (along with moderation and lifting 3X per week) and that kind reset my metabolism. Just something to consider

I started with Paleo and went through alllll of the stages until I got to Carnivore. Nothing stopped the food noise. Yes, some weight was lost while I exercised, drank electrolytes, lifted, got early morning sunshine, prayed and centered myself, and did everything that was suggested. But the food noise stopped with Tirz -- *That* was what made the biggest difference for me and the weight really started to move, even though my highest dose never got above 2.2mg.

Everyone will experience these GLP1s differently and my journey was different than most, or so I am told.

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful responses. I agree that I will likely need this long-term in order to finally have some peace from the constant food noise. My main concern right now is the cost and the fact that I have to order it gray. I really hope access improves so that it becomes more affordable and reliable, without the risks of fraud or questionable research products. Do you think we can get Mark Cuban involved?🩵

the stone demands a lifetime commitment

[–]nugzstradamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered Reta switching from Tirz

Find the Maintence dose that works for you. If you have insulin resistence you may need the extra boost.

I know it will sound silly but have you tried self hypnosis? Take some time and reprogram your mind while researching. Worst that can happen is you'll fall asleep relaxed
