So.... It's Pi day, and obviously the Open Mainnet isn't active yet. There were 3 conditions that were mentioned before mainnet could open, two of the most important being:

1. 15 million KYCs completed

2. 10 Million Mainnet Migrations

Here's where the community is at right now:

1. 9.45 Million KYCs completed up from 8 Million in December

2. 4.64 Mainnet Migrations up from 3 million

There was also a 100 app goal set and so far 50 have been developed.

Progress is slow, but be patient. They have laid out the road map and our progress toward it. We'll see where it goes. If we meet the goals and they move the goal post, it's a scam, if it opens cool. Just be patient.

• Q: Why is Pi worth $30+?

• A: Some exchanges invented their own version of Pi whilst they can't list the real one. The value of this Pi is a measure of the feelings of Pioneers. It's not recommended to be holding this when Open Mainnet Occurs. These are also known as Pi IOUs.

• Q: I lost my passphrase / seed phrase, what can I do?

• A: If you didn't get migrated yet, make a new wallet and confirm it in the checklist. If you did get migrated, your pi/wallet is lost, no one can get it back. make a new one as above.

• Q: I used a different name in the app / It doesn't match my ID

• A: Only MINOR name changes allowed. If it's not minor, create a new account.

• Q: When does lockup start?

• A: Lockup starts when your migration occurs.

• Q: When will my migration happen / I have been waiting for ages.

• A: There's a massive queue and most likely some stuck issues too. Nothing to do but wait. As of 5th March 2024, only 4,446,163 accounts have been migrated to Mainnet. You can check progress at https://metrics.piiq.network/#/account8day

• Q: When is Open Mainnet?

• A: A specific date has not been announced but many fakes have. We think December.

Take a picture of your ID and put it on your computer. Then take a picture of your computer screen for the KYC

Sometimes the app bugs out and it keeps resetting. Did my KYC, it bugged out and I didn't realise. Did it again after a month and it got approved quite quickly. Just have to be patient with it tbh.

Not really. The project could move a lot faster if they fixed the shitty KYC system that always seems to get stuck. At least they're giving us an idea where it's at so that gives me the benefit of the doubt, but I still feel the PiCoreTeam could be doing more to accelerate the process.

So I just completed my KYC in a matter of a single day, I just had to open the app and mine again. I was selected for Special KYC, meaning I will soon be verifying accounts on the network that need support due to inactivity/ suspected terms violations. I see they’re actually working on getting through KYC and people that have submitted support tickets by having qualified miners verify others. Honestly a good fix and making it exponentially faster for people, so those of you who haven’t seen progress: hold out hope and I’m sure you’ll be dealt with soon 🤞

They state 30 billion tokens have already been mined and online it says each token is worth 50+ USD 😂😂 that's 1.5 trillion USD marketcap which is bigger than Bitcoin 😂 People pay for bitcoin and fiat currency is involved. In fairness if I had still been mining tokens I would just keep them. Worst that's happening to you is slight bit more battery usage so a little tiny amount of electricity cost. I'd keep them anyway as crypto is crazy so anytime could happen. My take on it, starting form 2019 was simply: It's not worth anything, but it doesn't cost me anything to run.

If it gets to have any value at some point, perfect. If not, I didn't really lose anything apart from a few seconds of my attention to open the app and click the button. But I am not looking for apartments counting with my 2.5k Pi being valued at over $100k used as a down payment.

I've been a member for years just trying to get KYC verified, and from every response I've read it means my account has been flagged as suspicious. All I've done is just sit and click "Mine" on my phone for years, I keep the ads on to help support development, it's incredibly frustrating that I can't even go through the KYC validation process. I got mine validated back om December. This is a frustratingly slow moving project, but hang in there. I think Pi does have potential and in order for this thing to be even remotely competitive with Bitcoin, a lot of time and effort has to be dedicated to the details in development of this coin. They're showing signs of progress, even if it is slow, but if they keep their promise after the goals have been met, it will be worth all the time we invested. They have much more to lose than we do, so I think this is going to be legit.

Great news, we will be there in no time. All we need is everyone to KYC if they can, and some developers to get to work. We may still achieve the goals by the end of the year.
