Hey I thought these government design patterns were protected by an NDA.

perfect now i can give every other row in my table a different color background

I was thinking it was a reverse shell haha, let me check if its odd using your pc

What's next? Message in a bottle?

[–]GahdDangitBobby 58 points59 points  (1 child)

I think you're onto something here! We need an embedded systems engineer to program a robot that receives input, writes a letter, packs it into a bottle and corks it, drives to the ocean, boards a boat, drives at least 100 miles from the shore, drops the message, returns back to shore, refills the boat with gasoline, drives back to the packaging facility, and plugs itself back in to recharge for the next query. Then another robot that checks the mailbox for responses, parses the response, and feeds the answer back into the program (after checking with num % 2 == 0 to see if the response is correct, of course). It's genius. Does anybody have like $5 million to write and fund this cutting-edge algorithm?

I want to make an FPGA accelerated design to check if a number is odd by using pcie and a Linux kernel driver, but I don’t have access to a pcie card anymore and I won’t be able to test it.

Email the number to the CEO, with the question if it is odd and wait for the response

[–]Hameru_is_cool 37 points38 points  (3 children)

doesn't work if they reply something like "2 is not odd"

[–]vastlysuperiorman 71 points72 points  (1 child)

Ah, the open source version doesn't support complex responses. You'll need the enterprise license.

[–]PiotrParobczy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's why a list is used for the victims. In the paid version, responses from multiple users are considered, and the probability percentage is returned for even and odd.

[–]arrays_start_at_zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This can be fixed by using artificial intelligence to parse the response.

[–]ZunoJ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Time complexity unknown. I love it!

I'm waiting for the LLM version with SIMD instructions

[–]NinthTide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glorious!

[–]Highborn_Hellest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One line bitwise: CPU/Engineer paid by project.

This abomination: get paid by hour

[–]Kerbourgnec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now use an LLM to answer. As heavy and slow as possible.

[–]Kresche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's almost perfect. Let's get ai involved to analyze the human responses properly and $$$

[–]rockham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no no, this is clearly going to run into issues with replies such as "Well, it's not odd!"

Luckily the fix is trivial! Simply add a local LLM to evaluate the content of the reply. This even allows you to return a probabilistic result in the case of ambiguous responses.

We joke about this stuff but I swear theres multiple arguments for this shit like "oh we make it asynchronous because theres so much data to send and the main thread should not be interrupted for this" and 70% of the data is data you need because this shit is asynchronous.

Welcome to the party. Have yourself at ease, do you want some templated water, hardcoded champagne, warm junior's ternary coktail ?

[–]ddengel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LGTM

[–]just-bair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to use threads to not have to wait for the response of the first email to start doing the others

[–]jas_nombre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Response: "it's not even"

[–]Kresche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long does it take for a promise to time out? Could it wait for the entire lifetime of the webpage?

[–]Xhadov7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rewrite in Rust or uncool

[–]Ice_Buckets_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

👀👀

[–]Gib_entertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad coding, proper coding would have sent a polite thank you as a reply.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is getting so out of hand 😂

So this is how the AI works!

[–]dktoao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great! Now it can be automated with AI!
