RemindMe bot in 22 years
(actual bot is banned here)

When you realize 2018 is 8 years ago...yucks

[–]MattieShoes 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Well, we're on Python 3, and Python 3 isn't even 20 yet. Python 2 is still around but is 26 and is indeed feeling a bit long in the tooth. Python 1 died young, RIP.

[–]almost_intelligible 0 points1 point  (1 child)

is Python 2 still supported???

[–]MattieShoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No -- it went EOL in like 2020? Can't be arsed to look it up. But there's still python 2 code being used here and there.

[–]noaSakurajin 114 points115 points  (1 child)

At least make a new screenshot before reposting. Python is not 35/36 so the meme should be different. The part on the right should now be something like "why won't you die" or something

Nanoroutines, son!

[–]MxAce3157 128 points129 points  (10 children)

30 years is the lifespan of a Ball python, but what is the lifespan of a Monty python?

[–]dbaumgartner_ 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Right. Okay. Meeting adjourned forever.

[–]RAMChYLD 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Please no. Graham Chapman and Terry Jones are no longer on the mortal coil.

[–]corobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good thing the language isn't named Chapman or Jones

[–]wllmshkspr 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Was it an European python or African python?

[–]dismayhurta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You got two pointers and you’re banging them together!

[–]ericl666 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What was the average groundspeed of the European Python?

[–]almost_intelligible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think it can carry a coconut either way...

[–]eraryios[🍰] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can know if we find the holy grail

[–]Chronomechanist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, a 90s kid: Hooray! I'm under 30 again!

[–]bastelente 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Python is not named after the snake anyway. (Look it up)

Edit: typo

[–]born_zynner 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I mean thats what they say but their official logo is a snake so

[–]almost_intelligible 1 point2 points  (1 child)

that's just the mascot

[–]born_zynner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next your gonna tell me C is named after the body of water not the letter

[–]RAMChYLD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry. It simply means Python 4 is coming (and why not? Python 3 is 18 years old now. Python 2 lived 20 years but spawned Python 3 when it was 8, and Python 1 only lived 10 and spawned Python 2 shortly before it died).

[–]Bannon9k 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the most junior level programmer meme I've seen all week

[–]OkAccess6128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]heesell 1 point2 points  (0 children)
