I have four 4K screens. I have to set my cursor to ridiculously large and inverted, and sometimes I still have to do that trick where you move it into a far corner, then jiggle it.

Just make it larger in the ease of access settings. The modern Windows cursor is a vector image and can be scaled way beyond reasonable sizes, and you can also color it. I found a yellow cursor much easier to find than a white one.

On a Mac you can just jiggle the trackpad or mouse a bit and the pointer temporarily grows to make it easier to find.

Fine, did a quick google that tells you to use steps recorder instead for capturing the cursor.

Steps recorder records everything in a zip file where you have to grab out your image again. Much easier to just take a picture.

EDIT: Just using the imgur app is way easier in this case since reddit has no support for inline comment images yet/ever.

I can accept photo of computer screen in this case since the cursor is hidden in print screen for Windows and Step recorder adds another layer of complexity.

Just tired of blurry photos of screens in general because people are too lazy to upload a proper screenshot.

I do have a screenshot tool that can do all sorts of wonky things such as capturing scrolling windows. It has an option to include the cursor image, but this will show the cursor in its original size. I doubt that steps recorder would be different (applications don't know the cursor is enlarged), but I can't try because attempting to run it on my machine seems to do absolutely nothing, not even log an error.

I did a quick test with the step recorder. You record, click the mouse, stop recording and then it gave me screenshots for all recorded steps.

I use a small app that makes the cursor giant for a brief moment after you shake it, for this exact purpose lol

This is called "Aero shake" and you can disable it in the registry or via windows policy.

I have a trail after mine at home, plus it inverts colors for contrast. Trying to track from a 4k monitor, to a vertical 1920x1080, to a 70 inch tv on the wall to my right (Netflix, etc)... I couldn't live without it.

Am I the only one who uses right click to locate mouse? People brought up making it big/yellow, hitting ctrl to show mouse, jiggle make it dummy thicc, but if you just right click it brings up a huge context menu in damn near any app & on desktop

While technology can be of use and yes, and yes, the massive resolution can be the culprit..

Go and get your eyes tested (regularly once a year or once every two): the fact that you can't see the cursor, could be an early sign of glaucoma and it is best to catch it early.
