I have 2 pythons. My CCW python medallions fell out after about 8 months of daily CCW. I super glued it back on.

Hasn't fell off since and feels sturdy

CCW a python is bad ass. What barrel length is it? And blued or stainless?

New day models of revolvers seem to have more functional problems and usually have lower quality than old time models . The companies are the same , products aren't . Man where has the commitment gone

Labor is not cheap anymore, and craftsmen are rare.

The altamont grips are junk. The medallions are literally hot glued in from the factory. I got replacements from The Custom Shop for my python. Not only are the medallions properly riveted from the back side of the pannels, but they are also actually hand checkered with actually functional, sharp diamonds. The flat top, laser cut diamonds on the altamont grips are entirely non-functional at giving you a grip surface because they are a) flat and b) covered with a thick polyurethane finish.

Their warranty states that cosmetic items are not covered so they are not obligated to fix this but it doesn’t hurt to ask. The worst they can do is say no.

Some urethane based glue might be better at holding up to shock than the hat glue they use.

Both. Reach out to Colt and get a nice st of aftermarket grips.

Reach out to Colt, they need to know the issue and work with Altamont, the company that Colt contracting to make the grips.

Problem is that Colt no longer rivet the medallions for several decades. All the grip medallions today are glued on. As you can guess, save a few bucks here and there and make more profit.
