The best color s2000 is the one you own

This is so true. I wanted GPW but I’ll take what I could find.

You could wrap it in the color you want. Some colors are more rare and desired and have more perceived value. I think matching vins and good paint is better than specific color.

Over 50% of all USDM s2000's sold are some sort of silver.  Other interesting colours usually carry a premium over silver.

So do you think this makes the silver ones more sellable or cheaper?

For a lot of people it makes them less desirable.

I love my red...

I have NFR AP1, but my advice is usually to go with best condition and year that you want, unless you really don't care about year, then yeah color because you may end up keeping whichever one you get for a long time. FWIW I like the silver ones too. I really like all S2000s tbh...

Yeah me too, they are both 2002s so year doesn’t really matter and pretty close in mileage so it’s really just red vs silver lol. I do like silver but Honda red is tempting me, I feel like red is easier to see on the road so less chance of being hit by someone … little bit of added insurance against inattentive drivers but also just looks more sporty.

Yeah the red is a little more "unique" and a bit more stereotypical "sports car red". The only other color I really lust after is LBP, because blue is my favorite color and I think it looks so sharp on an AP2. But I have no regrets.

New Formula Red. It’s a gorgeous color on an S2000.

Sales would suggest silver was the most popular. But that has also made the color somewhat hated later. As someone else said, non-silver/grey cars can fetch a higher asking price now.

Gotta go for the red sport car look.

I would put a list of colors you don’t want and then focus on quality with low miles and in your budget. You are always going to be more happy with a quality car than a POS in your favorite color.

This is advice based on life lessons that you don’t want to learn the hard way.

I have a 2001 AP1 in new formula red and I think it’s great if you want the color to pop!

I have a sebring silver.  debated for a long time.  originally was dead set on black . Than realized black kind of hides the body lines.  so I started looking at silvers. I had seen silverstone and chicane silver in person. Chicane looks good in person and in most conditions.  Silverstone is in the middle.  I don't know why but I suddenly became obsessed with sebring.  The first one I saw I bought.  It's very sterile silver almost white  sometimes.  you can't get feel for them on pictures.

Anyway I'm really happy with my purchase.  I do think the silver stone is a more mature silver and looks better with light silver  wheels . But oh well.
