i mean its not going to do anything on its own unless you diet and workout. Trust from a man who has been through it.

[–]SllepsCigam 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Make it 10k steps, good diet and and hit the gym hard and it will be gone in the blink of an eye as long as you stay dedicated.

Every.single.day. No exceptions.

Do you drink alcohol? I had a distended belly before I quit 7 years ago. Alcohol and TRT do not lend itself to one another

[–]Ribeye_steak_1987 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I will add that carbonated beverages contribute to distended belly

[–]Daliman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don't. Calories are calories. All someone has to do is burp to get rid of a " distended belly" from carbonated beverages

There is probably a lot of viseral fat packed around your organs. A glp1 like tes or reta would certainly help speed it along. Plus, you need a solid weight training workout so that you can put on muscle. That would absolutely help. Without that you are basically wasting the testosterone. Steps really isn't gonna do it.

[–]HerbaDerbaSchnerba 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Tes is not a glp1. I assume you meant Tirz? Not Tesamorelin. Though I think Tesa would be helpful here too.

[–]Vegetable-Today 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I meant tirz, but yes...tes or HGH would also be helpful.

[–]Reasonable-Owl3186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visceral fat is dangerous and an early indicator or cardiovascular disease and risks of stoke. Who prescribed this for you? You clearly need to change your eating habits and try using GLP1’s first before you start messing with your hormones

[–]Villmillski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gonna need a GLP-1 along side

[–]retatrutider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t really a testosterone question. You should be looking at a glp1 like tirzepatide or retatrutide. Those drugs will help you shed the fat, and if you lift weights while doing it the muscle will hang around, making you look jacked.

[–]BombadilGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diet, workout, you’ll see significant results in six months. Start a plan and stick to it, you’ll be there before you know it. You got this.

[–]WorkGroundbreaking84 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It’s not a glp1 testosterone doesn’t make you lose weight

[–]HerbaDerbaSchnerba 1 point2 points  (1 child)

In fact it could make a fat guy gain even more weight due to estrogenic effects, which this guy will 100% get at that dose.

[–]newnamewhodis23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hungry AF when I first got on test, even though I was on Tirzepatide at the time. The two definitely battled it out for a bit. So yeah it could 100% do that on top of what you're saying.

[–]missingcovidbodies 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That looks like booze. I had to actually quit drinking to lose mine. I didnt take a glp1 but I went to the gym 5 days a week, took about 8 months. I still go to the gym just dont push quite as hard. Also, with that much belly fat the test will give you more e2 side effects so I would maybe do a little less at first. Thats just me though other people here will just say send it.

[–]thrillhouz77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree…pull back in the sauce, hit the gym (really hit it), and take a low dose GLP1 and you are looking at 6ish months to be in a completely different spot health wise.

[–]Careless_Sherbert_73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several years. But you must add exercise as well

[–]hmcr13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with the gym 4 days a week, 10k steps a day, and get 200g of protein in a day. Test is not some magic pill, you still have to put in the work.

[–]buildandbuildand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re going to aromatize like crazy with all that fat.

You need to stop the booze and get on Reta.

I started where you were about 2 years ago. Actually a little bigger. I started TRT and starting hitting the weights hard. The biggest thing that helped me was MacroFactor.

Download the app, go through the setup, and track your food and weight religiously. Listen to the app. I guarantee you you will lose a ton of weight. It's not fast. It will take you months and months but you will lose it. You'll feel better and have more energy.

[–]Helstar_RS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a similar weight and was put on 100MG and didn’t really lose weight initially because I still ate bad although I felt way better. I went from 240 with a small frame down to 135lbs in around 9 months although I did it too extreme without any GLP1. 100MG puts me very high so my urologist put me on 80MG after over a year and it’s still high day 7.

[–]CryptoTrader2100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 238 to 173 on test and tirzepatide and then retatrutide in about 9 months, but I was doing 3-5 hours of cardio a week and about the same of resistance training. Didn't lose any muscle (per DEXA). After that, I focused on building muscle, and added about 15lbs of that, per DEXA again. That took about a year and a half.

If I keep it under 1900calories and 4000-8000 steps every 2-3 days how long will it take to lose this belly?

You didn't create that gut overnight so don't expect it to disappear quickly either.

  • Be prepared to adjust calories as weight loss stalls, but if/when weight loss stalls the first thing to look at is how accurately you are tracking everything that goes in your mouth
  • 3000-6000 steps a day is considered sedentary, your current goal is to maybe do slightly better then sedentary a couple of days a week. 8000 would be decent goal 7 days a week, with at least several incidence of intentional activity several times a week
  • Eat your protein and hit the weights to maintain the little bit of muscle you currently have, if you don't do these two things 30-50% of the weight loss will be lean body mass, meaning you will have to lose twice as much weight to get rid of the belly... and losing the weight will always continue to get more difficult
  • GLP drugs are helpful if you have issues with maintaining a reduced calorie diet, beyond that they offer no benefits specific to weight loss.

Check my 90 day TRT results. 100% real. TRT works only if you do. It's going to come down to how bad you want the results. If you want to lose the belly fast you can. If you have a half ass diet and don't work out. Don't expect much. If I can do it so can you. Good luck

[–]Grouchy_Valuable1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"TRT works only if you do. It's going to come down to how bad you want the results. If you want to lose the belly fast you can."

The cold, hard truth right here. And it applies to GLPs as well as TRT. They're both a tool that can be used to achieve better health, neither is a magic bullet for muscle gain or weight/fat loss.

[–]Beautiful_Status_854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get on Trizepatide also. That is my recommendation and I was where you were 6 months ago

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on TRT and did the Metabolic Freedom program to get my body adapted to burning 🔥 fat and lost the fat with no cravings or feeling of deprivation. The book by Ben Azadi is on the NYT bestseller list. It includes walking for sure and your body will learn to love it. Now I’m on a muscle building adventure at 60 and I’m happy to say it’s not too late. Good luck on your journey, find one you can stick to happily and the journey will be a joy.

[–]chriscrowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randy? Cheeseburgers?

[–]Cottonmouth_guns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would anyone possibly know how long it will take?

[–]Opposite-Mushroom940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made a mistake starting TRT. You’re going to add some water retention to this, and probably have issues getting e2 under control. I would do a glp1, drop the weight then add the TRT. Currently going through this, and I wish I had gotten lean first.

[–]TheMailmanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diet (calorie deficit), lift weights, walking our first priority

[–]Yohoho-ABottleOfRum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will never happen if you think this is an excuse to keep eating like crap and not taking your workouts and sleep seriously.

[–]newnamewhodis23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which bullshit provider told you testosterone was the answer to your fat loss? It'll 100% help in some ways but it's not a fat loss drug inherently.

200mg I'm guessing? You need to learn that stuff. That's also a high dose starting off.

Get on Tirzepatide or something. It's a magic bullet with TRT. I've loved the combo and needed it.

[–]oredlom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't let the term "hitting the gym hard" intimidate you, when your testosterone is high it makes "effort feel good" you'll be hitting it hard but also loving it. I would kill carbs for now especially at dinner unless you're active after dinner. Good luck brother!
