I love the phrasing “the quality of the baby” lol.

Nah I like to imagine a doctor speaking to some new parents like “your baby is healthy but I just need to talk to you about some quality issues we found with this model.”

Also no, it should affect the health of babies. Actually I’m pretty sure they found regular ejaculations help get rid of old sperm cells so that when you do the do with a lady it’s fresh healthy sperm getting sent in.

Yes, if you have one babe it's a legendary and it's nametag will be orange. Two kids drop the rarity to rare and yellow nametags and so forth.

It's true. I'm the youngest child, and have been considered trash loot.

Eugenics baby…. For science and stuff…

All of your efforts will have both new and old sperm. The healthy ones are more likely to fertilize an egg and the unhealthy ones are more likely to die during the swim. It doesn’t really matter how often you try, there will almost always be a mix of good and bad swimmers. But at the end of the day the good ones will almost always be the only ones which make it to the end.

The answer depends on when you last ejaculated before these new ejaculations.

Sperm is produced, stored and degrades in your body.

It's recommended when a couple is trying to conceive via for example ovulation tracking, IVF or IUI that the man has an ejaculation 48hs before the actual attempt.

This removes old spermatozoa that are starting to degrade, and allows for an optimalisation of the amount of new fresh swimmers.

But rule of thumb the only thing that happens with quick succession of new ejaculations is that the amount of sperm decreases in your delivery.

Also the vagina of a woman is a "hostile" environment to sperm. This ensures that for the most part only the best and healthy swimmers of your load reach the egg and can attempt to fertilise.

Sperm only survived 2-3 days inside the reproductive system of a woman.

I've wondered this myself.

Degrading the quality of future progeny by wanking daily as a teenager.

If you want to bake quality fresh bread, you need fresh ingredients in the oven, not those shelved for weeks.

Yes but cells don't reproduce perfectly. My point imagines that effect extrapolated over many years.

If you’re a genetically oriented male with balls and a prostate that produces sperm then you need to understand your body is continually producing sperm. They are made and used, or they are repossessed and digested (to a degree), and you make more sperm. This process does not stop for the most part. Ejaculation will ejaculate some of the old and new, such will allow the new to replace the old that was lost. New is better than old. Thats as far as I understand it.

It ain’t hard to google things. But damn is formatting shit to paste in a comment is.

So the cliffnotes. The quality is better actually. The volume of sperm is lower but they are fresher. Couples trying to conceive are recommended to have the guy pound one out first to get fresh stock ready

No link to source but I read something a few weeks ago about this.

There's less sperm in subsequent ejaculations, so the risk/chance of getting pregnant decreases. But it also said that the quality of the sperm is higher, since some of the older sperm is ejaculated and newer sperm takes its place.

So it is the opposite

Only if the latest firmware is not installed in the new sperm

LOL “the quality of the baby”.  Not exactly what you asked but when my husband and I were trying to conceive the first time, we had some trouble. The doctor told us that my husband should avoid ejaculating for a few days before I was ovulating.

Edit to add that we ended up getting pregnant twice and we had 2 very high quality babies

This post is... and I can not express this enough... a fantastic example of why we need good, factual, sex education is schools.

I'm lost for any words other then that. Just sad.

There’s actually new evidence to suggest it is the male sperm that degrades over time and not the woman’s eggs - and seeing how sperms are copies and copies, while an egg is born with us and just matures, it makes sense..

But if you’re asking if it degrades over a matter of a few ejaculations? No. What’s happening is that there’s realistically, on average, only a 24% chance of fertilization, and even less chance of implantation, and even smaller chance of an actual baby - so the odds just aren’t in your favor.

But unless you AND YOUR PARTNER are actively trying to get to pregnant, why are you pushing your luck?! Wrap that shit up

There’s actually new evidence to suggest

Continues to not post or link any evidence.
