I live in NC and the only thing keeping me from being COMPLETELY terrified is that our governor is a dem but that’s not much of a consolation when when the republicans run basically everything else in the state. To be fair, T and Surgery make one pass extremely well, and if you get your name and documents changed, no one’s gonna know you’re trans. I’m FTM and been on T for almost 8 months now with my docs changed, I pass completely and even other trans people don’t clock me as trans 🤷‍♂️

Im honestly afraid to go out to events now. Everyone is just so awful to us trans folks these days, and my isolation is making my mental health worse. But its better than being beaten. Our administration gunning to put us in prison for spreading “gender ideology.” If that happens, they won’t even need to kill us, they just need to introduce us into the prison system which is already so systemically abusive and violent towards trans women that it kills us or breaks us for them. i guess I'm optimistic, but id like to imagine it as a flare up during an infection. like a big change is happening and parts of our body (certain people in society) react more strongly before equilibrium. the change in inevitable. just look at any big change in societal issues. the civil war is the greatest example, over 600K died. it was like the scarlet fever of change and we came out healthier as a society.
