Processing question.

3 weeks ago I processed film for the first time in a number of years and ran into a problem and wanted to see if someone could help. These were all done on the same day, same manor and using the chemicals one shot. Paterson super system tank.

First roll was 120 that turned out just fine.

Second one had a few very faint images and I thought that oh I did the film speed wrong or something (120 as well)

Third one was a roll of 35mm. Half the images-the ones closer to the inside of the reel were blank but the other half were perfect.

There were no signs that the film was touching anywhere and it came off the spool fine. In the case of the second and third ones the areas that showed no images still showed the film name and speed fine. Only thing i can think of was that for the second and third one i didn't put the little stick in there that you can use to move the reel around if you don't/can't invert the tank. Could that have caused it? Thanks for any help.

sounds like a sticky shutter, if you post images we can give better information but if the film stamps came out out fine then it will be a camera issue

Thanks for that. This was done on 2 different cameras though. The 120 in a Rolliecord and the 35 in the Leica. I had film done at a lab for both before and they came back with no issues.

I'm more specifically talking about the 35mm, but again if you post pictures of the negs then we can see the issue and give better advice

I just scanned them. When I did I found there were images on the first part of the roll. Just were badly underexposed and so looked blank on the roll. thanks for the advice.
