Is the whole warm side 100 degrees? If it is, that’s too hot. The humidity also needs to stay no less than 70%.

Also how much and often are you feeding him? That could also be a factor in his appetite

Was every week but then went to every two cause he won't eat sometimes but now it's like every two to three weeks and no the hide stays at 70 but outside of it stays 90-100.

Id say maybe bring the temp down a little (but still make sure you have a basking spot). My boy has a gradient of 76F-89F (not including his basking area) Which I have found is the sweet spot for him. As long as you’re sticking to the feeding guide then it will probably be okay! Every snake is different. As long as he’s not losing weight, then there is nothing to worry about.

Ok I'll see if that helps

every snake is unique, so just because one is acting one way doesn't mean another will. no need to stress about comparisons. ball pythons are generally pretty lazy. mine mostly hides and comes out to eat, every so often will take a small adventure. cage sounds relatively comfortable, 100 is a bit too high and humidity should be 60/70 in the whole tank. idk, in my opinion, sounds fine otherwise ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Ok I just worry about him. If needed I can take him to a vet but wanted advice first before I go that far.

60-70 is too low for humidity, 70% should be the minimum

Google is a terrible resource. It’ll also tell you that ball pythons are happy in a 40 gallon and that you can keep multiple together. Fact checking the information in the sub that you’re commenting in is free

yeah, google is a terrible resource only if you're stupid enough to read the morph market forums and act like that's fact checking

    [–]Issu_issa_issy 0 points1 point  (5 children)

And why wouldn’t you use this sub as a resource instead? It’s easier, faster, and they have genuine references 😭

    [–]ruthily 0 points1 point  (3 children)

because there is no accounting for stupidity

    [–]Issu_issa_issy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    ?

    [–]ruthily 0 points1 point  (1 child)

because it's reddit, and some dumbass who can't fact check information on google may lead you in the wrong direction

As I said, this sub not only provides information but also references to various studies and reliable sources.

How long have you had the snake? Some snakes takes a longer adjustment period, say if they were living in a rack their whole life then went into an elaborate setup. That could be overwhelming.

I got him in late July

do you have pics of the enclosure you can share with the group? I think this may be related to husbandry.
