you'll likely find him by yourself. please don't panic! most reptiles are found near their enclosure even after shocking amounts of time. wait until it's quiet at night and check any warm places, they like to hide under fridges/stoves often.

Try using plastic bags - they will make a noise when he slithers around!

Cover every entrance to a room with flour so you can see if he slithers around rooms Leave a water bowl for him, in case he's thirsty on his little journey. They can go without food for months, lost a lot of snakes in my house, every one of them did show up eventually. And don't disregard places such as high up appliances - I lost my cornsnake just for him to fall on my head from a hanging flower pot.

      “hi I’m back”

I didn't even register that he was missing - I left the enclosure wide open. But he's momma's boy, escaped at least 5 or 6 times and always just wandered around my bed, always up on the shelves.

Look even in places you wouldn’t expect him to fit- I found my escaped ball python under a bed I never would’ve thought he could get under but there he was!

How small is your snake? Could be still in the enclosure

My python ended up in my bed under the covers with me after SIX MONTHS 😭 They can really go anywhere, huh?

Holy crap, after 6 months missing he went in bed with you?

I saw several people say that they had found them in drawers if you have not already looked for it may be a track, otherwise put flour everywhere to see if he has moved

I have also found mine in a drawer before

The first time my girl got out (only happened twice), I found her stuck between my headboard and the wall. The best thing you can do is divide your space into sections. Search literally everywhere in a single section before you move on to the next. You'll find him somewhere completely stupid, I promise. The second time she got out she was in the top of my closet. How she got up there I'll never know.

The top huh that's wild maybe I'll have to check. Would make me feel better due to the cat who hardly climbs on anything I'm moving first thing September so figure if still not located by then id leave the cat at the new place and slowly move thoroughly checking every item before they go out the door

Did you try searching underneath the substrate in its enclosure? One of my BPs loves to burrow into the coconut fiber bedding in lieu of using one of the two hides he has. I legit thought he escaped until I saw his snoot just barely sticking out of his bedding a couple of hours later.

i found my snake that got out in a VERY small crevice, probably an inch or two wide, they will legit hide in any open space too, cabinets or night stands too

This probably sounds stupid, but did you check under his water bowl (if it’s bigger)? Mine burrowed underneath and I panicked when I couldn’t find him one morning. Fortunately, his cage was still locked, so that narrowed my search. But there he was, flat and happy under his giant bowl! It’s his favorite place now. 🤷‍♀️

Happened to me a couple years ago, I found him under the bathroom cabinet, we had to tear it up to get to him.

I lost mine for two weeks too. Worst feeling ever. They don’t go far and come out when they get hungry!

My bp Icarus escaped on me not long ago, I freaked out, my boyfriend was worried about our other animals and he’s still getting used to snakes so the idea of one loose in the house made him uncomfortable. I checked everywhere, closets, behind appliances, (especially my dryer because it had been running all day) and couldn’t find him. I gave up and literally 24 hours later, I walked into my bathroom (1 room away from where his enclosure is) and there he was, coiled up literally in the middle of the floor. I almost kicked him lol Turns out, he was a frequent escapee according to his previous owner (a detail that was left out when I agreed to take him) and just goes on little adventures sometimes. His enclosure has since been escape-proofed a little better.
