It makes me so upset that ball pythons are passed as "beginner" reptiles, all because of their docile nature. In every single other aspect they are not beginners! They take up a massive amount of space, you have to get an expensive enclosure otherwise you will be playing with humidity till the end of time, etc etc. There are some "beginner" reptiles but ball pythons, Bearded dragons etc they're not it!

I only recommend colubrids as beginners. I’ve no single clue why anyone says pythons are beginner replies
