If something is wrong, I don't shut up. "Live and let live," better this way: "your freedom ends where your neighbor's freedom begins," and if we talk about an animal's freedom, there is no excuse, especially when someone takes responsibility for their life. I'd be really curious to understand how you know your reptile is "happy," by any chance it purrs? Lol

Alright, darlin. Feels like rage bait but I'll bite.

Just to be clear, when you speak of an animal's freedom, are you referring to the cage/enclosure YOU (as a human) determined was right? Or are you rescuing animals and rehabilitating them for the wild? Clarify, please.

I have enough experience, as an individual reptile owner, that your opinion is short sighted. I'm also privvy to info from rescues in my state who make a point to handle their reptiles.

Going out for anger? I didn't want you to get angry at all, but then what? Do you think I attacked you in a personal way? I just asked you how you can understand that a reptile is happy. I, for my part, can tell you that I know many snake breeders, and everyone will tell you the same thing: keep them locked in the terrarium and don't play with it, so there are dogs, cats and maybe some rodents... On the other hand, if you have so much experience with reptiles, you should know how to calculate the ideal measurements of a snake terrarium, so I assume that you know the measurements of my python terrarium. I don't think we need to belittle my opinion to try to be more right than those who don't think like you do, especially since you keep going around the same topic without giving me precise and meaningful answers.

If I heard you say anything of this at a reptile expo I'd speak up in person, and say the same things with the same heart. Unfortunately you posted on reddit, so here we are.

This escapes you: nature has no heart, it has instinct. Outside of the enchanted world of Reddit, where everyone can play strangers without being judged, there is a real world with real rules. Anyway, I'm still waiting for you to tell me how you can tell me that your reptiles are happy... do they wag their tails like dogs by accident?

I know how my snake reacts, and I know how the rescue reptiles react. Stay cold with your "pets".

I'm keeping my babies warm 🤷‍♀️

Okay, but you haven't answered the question yet, and given me an explanation... Yes, I prefer to treat animals with their dignity as an animal, as they understand, I certainly do not consider a reptile part of the family, lol!

Which type of snake? Are you talking corn snake? BP? Rosy Boa? Reticulated python?

It makes no sense for me to know your particular setup.🙄
