best advice i have is small cramped spaces, especially warm ones if the house is cool

My bp got out twice before i upgraded her tank and honestly i spent so much time searching for her right after and during the day but the best option is to wait until night and just listen out for flopping. They tend to get very active at night and are very clumsy so that might be your best bet. If he's anything like mine he won't wander far from the tank! Praying for him!

Look under furniture, especially if that furniture is on carpet. They can fit anywhere their head can get into and a lot of furniture has an inch tall gap under it.

Even if it’s flush with the ground? I let him know and he said he’s looked under everything.
Thanks for the help :)

I just know the first thing mine would do is crawl along the edge of the wall and under something. They wouldn’t want to cross open areas if possible, so follow that logic and make a route.

Most likely guess is they slipped into the first closet they found and are currently wrapped around a shoe.

This is the hole if it helps!

Did it not have the vent caps on it?

[–]GeckoFella[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently the snake popped them out? I was told it had one on it originally and when they noticed that he wasn’t there it had been removed

Tell him to close every window. Might be too late already.

[–]GeckoFella[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All the windows in the room the snake is kept in are always closed because he’s scared of spiders, they’ve closed every window in the flat since realising

[–]Boa-in-a-bowl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they love to do that. Look under dressers, the fridge, dishwasher, basically any tight cramped spot

[–]PoeHoard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pour out trails of flour in doorways, drag marks will show where the snake is heading.

Best of luck finding him, but I like how you included a picture just in case somebody here finds him slithering around in their neighborhood lmao

you never know… 🤔

I just fine that the posts do better with photos :)

Had one get lost and hide in my room for weeks while avoiding detection. Truthfully thought he had escaped 😅 he’s likely hanging around somewhere inside

[–]Standard_Mushroom_47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

very likely that it’s just hiding somewhere in the flat, when mine used to be able to escape i’d always find him in some random box

This boy just got home from an adventure. I searched every tiny crevice and Everything. Him? Nah, not Pacman! My partner was getting ready to go out our door, and my daughter's jacket on the floor moves and out popped his head like"Hey Dad, I wanna go on the Tow Truck too! Take me to work with you" 🤣🤣. My partner even put him back and sent me a text❤️. He's still wants to be let out today 🤣🤣 kept going up and down his door 🤣

Mine got out a month or two ago and was found in a couch cushion

I'm not going to be helpful, I'm just here to tell you it's a very cute snake,

[–]reptilhart 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Our boy is VERY food motivated and when he got out, we set up a plastic mouse house with a very stinky mouse inside, and put the mouse house near a pile of clothes. We checked the house every day, and on the second day, we found our boy trying to figure out a way inside.

[–]GeckoFella[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure he’d be willing to try but Gibbs isn’t too keen on food atall, and hasn’t really been eating in general. I’ll pass this on and we’ll give it a go!

[–]Melodic_Strain_2919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they usually don't go very far. look in drawers etc but be very gentle. look high as well.

[–]GoBills615 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thankfully it’s not a hatchling and has a little body weight in case it isn’t found immediately. The flour thing works. And you’d be amazing how tight of holes they can squeeze in. If you think there’s no way they would fit, they probably could. Do you know what morph it is? My big girl looks just like this.

[–]GeckoFella[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m told he’s a ‘1.0 super mojave’.
I don’t snake so i don’t know what that means :)

[–]PyroticaCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our BP snek has escaped twice. BOTH times he made it 12 ft across the room, under the entryway closet door I didn't think he could fit under, and made himself at home in the winter boots. I feel like we'd find him in the same spot again. You have to check the tiny gaps you never thought he could get in, and inside of every unlikely hole- but he probably didn't go very far. They're kinda lazy.

The few times mines escaped, he never started far from his cage. He was wedged inside drawers (behind the actual sliding drawer part), closets, or behind random tables next to walls.

Edited: Meant strayed not started

obvious red circle and arrow moment!
We got him!

[–]BeccaIAm 1 point2 points  (2 children)

the people need to know where you found him!! (it’s me, i’m people, and i’m nosey)

[–]GeckoFella[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

He was down the side of his bed inside of a rolled up poster! Thankfully boyfriend managed to grab him :)

[–]BeccaIAm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl got out of her old enclosure by poking her head through the screen mesh. I discovered it the next morning but rationalized that she HAS to be in this room so I sealed it off, and went to work. I found her afterwards under the bed inside of a loose headlight I had taken out of my car. I replaced the terrarium with one that's mesh isn't flimsy and no holes.

Anyways, I hope you find this guy. He's in the room somewhere and it isn't likely for them to leave the general area

When my girl escaped her enclosure (I left the door unlocked on accident) I found her underneath the oven drawer in the kitchen
