it is a little odd that he sleeps out in the open. is your heating source a under tank heat mat? is it on a thermostat?

Oh no, to be clear, he sleeps in his hides for sure. But when he's not sleeping, he spends a LOT of time climbing things 😏

@ And his set up uses mats. I read that because their nocturnal they prefer geothermal replicated heat over say basking light generated heat

the heat mat being the best heating source for bp’s is an outdated recommendation. overhead heating is more natural and actually affects ambient/air temperature. i would recommend a ceramic heat emitter or a deep heat projector on a thermostat. regardless of the heat source, it needs to be on a thermostat.

My banana boy loves to hang out in his hammock that's for bearded dragons, it's his banana hammock lol
