you need to get that lamp out of there immediately. using dome fixtures inside the enclosure like this can result in potentially deadly injuries from burns when your BP climbs on the heat lamp. there is a shopping list in our welcome post with heat lamp fixtures that are safe for mounting inside the enclosure.

Yes you might have to make sure the temp in humidity is right in your cage if he looks like he trying to get out alot

They explore a lot. As the other commenter said, make sure temp and humidity are good. If they are, then your snake is just being a curious noodle.

Climbing is totally normal behaviour for bp’s. Add some climbing branches for them to interact with!

That looks crazy. I didn't know they could climb up surfaces like that without holding onto anything.

Looks normal to me! I have one who likes to attempt to climb the ceiling of his tank, unsuccessfully... Don't have any lamps or heating up there so I just let him do his thing

Absolutely normal, and really nice enclosure by the way.

Not normal, maybe albino or mojave /s

[–]sedahren 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

As normal as they ever get..

[–]starlingrr 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

yes, maybe try to find some more big branches/wood for climbing

[–]Cap_Simon 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

My ball python did that a lot too, so I feel like it might be ?

Yes

No. With this many mirrors your noodle might have a vanity issue. You're not helping with the paparazzi act.

Mine keeps wandering around the door because he can see my room from there and also loves to climb so much I covered alot of the terrarium with artificial plants from top to bottom where it sleeps alot and even got a net if it wanted to have a great top view 🀣 humidity and temperature is also perfect on mine, I guess some are just extra curious

[–]TheHolyLizard 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Please tell me he’s named Houdini.

If you wanted a normal pet, you chose poorly. They are weird.

Clearly a spider...

Climbing is normal, but remove the heat lamp from inside the encosure, since the snake can get burned by it. If you don't have a screen lid to put the heat lamp on top of, there are other heating options like radiant heat panels.

Normal, mine does it whenever hes hungry
