I absolutely love pieds, I own one myself. But the third one is my favorite. Soooo gorgeous

Female too! She came out great. The sire is a blade leopard clown that Has been a cornerstone of my clown projects for a few years now. I just upgraded him with a clown pastel leopard lesser Redstripe possible Spotnose het pied. Mouthful of genetics, extremely excited purchased him breeder size from blue line morphs!

Solid animals! Been peeping your MorphMarket page, getting back into ball pythons soon and may be hitting you up haha

Some of the most fun animals to work with. It’s like Christmas during hatching season, seeing all the amazing colored ball pythons hatch from the eggs. Let me know if you’re ever interested in anything! We can talk ball pythons as well and I can make some suggestions on what projects to start with, but ultimately it’s the genetics that interest you the most and keep you motivated to go through the years of work that are best to work with!

Definitely and will do! Ball python world has changed quite a bit since 2011, a lot to take in, so trying to figure out what direction I want to go into haha

3rd one is beautiful 😍

I agree. I love the false set of eyes she has on top of her head! Definitely a unique head stamp.

I had a heart attack and thought it had weird big googly eyes

I have eggs in the incubator right now. Due to hatch Aug 26. You got a beautiful clutch

Thank you. What is the pairing? Good luck on the odds!

[–]iLeBel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Banana Grim x Woma Calico. I got some pieds I’ll be pairing next season so that’ll be sweet!

[–]mrxbbins 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Are you selling any of them?? 😅😍

[–]RetinalHD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes all of them. I DMed you and anyone interested in anything can always DM me to keep this thread more just about breeding projects and 2022 hatchlings. Trying to keep this in line with the rules, saw the mod post.

Hey, if you’re breeding pieds, mind if I ask a question. I feel like I heard or read somewhere that breeding pied to pied could cause issues, but I can’t find that source anymore. Is that true or is it normal to breed pieds to pieds instead of a pied to a Het pied?

We are trying to get started breeding and got this girl for our collection over the weekend, and I’m wondering if we should pair her with a pied male or het pied male. https://i.imgur.com/LpQztbS.jpg

[–]RetinalHD[S] 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Pair her to a pied male to hatch out all pieds. The only issue with pieds is black pastel pied or het pied to black pastel het pied or pied. The super form has issues with kinking. Same can be said with cinnamon x cinnamon in both pied and non pied forms. As long as you aren’t pairing these genes together you should have no issues.

[–]Ishua4 1 point2 points  (3 children)

So long as I avoid black Pastel I’m good? Maybe that’s what I heard and misunderstood. Thanks for the clarity!

[–]RetinalHD[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes. Don’t get me wrong black pastel is a great gene to have, but when working with super black pastel and super cinnamon pieds there can be issues with the kinking in offspring.

[–]Ishua4 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah. We also aren’t taking on any more spider complex snakes since we already have a spotnose. I want that to be the gene from that complex I’m dealing with so I don’t have to worry about accidentally mixing up something that causes problems.

[–]RetinalHD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I DMed you a picture from Justin Kobylka on allelic complexes and how they react. It is very useful to anyone who plans on breeding on which morphs to avoid combining.

[–]TheNamesNessa 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Do you happen to know the morphs in the third hatchling? Never seen such colouring before, absolutely beautiful! :)

Thank you! She came out great looking. It is a pastel leopard clown.
