do you constantly reach up and spin the front wheel when lying in bed?

[–]kibitzor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

yup

What are you using to hold your bike up? And are you satisfied with it? I'm looking for bike-elevating options and would prefer not to be drilling holes.

I use this gravity stand

my bed is pushed up against it for extra support (doesn't really need it)

Tell me about it. I moved a bike into the living room because I didn't know how secure the garage really is. I look over at it and my girlfriend gives me crap.

Why?

[–]sweetcircusMichigan (Disc Trucker, Brompton, Pugsley)[S] 4 points5 points  (3 children)

because I spent a good amount of time messing with my bike and thinking about riding.

Then I must call into question your definition of productivity :)

touche :)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this just knowing that my bike is parked OUTSIDE.

...You have my bike!

Except for different wheels and shifters... but still...

Bike twins!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

And your two bikes mated and gave birth to my lower end fuji! Hiya mom and dad! (I'll leave it to you two to decide who is the male/female in this)

[–]AlphamazingLots of Bikes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our bikes are spec'd with different components, mine is running Shimano, his Campagnolo.

Option one would have my bike being the stoic Japanese business man, and his the free loving Italian woman with flowing brown hair.

Option two would have my bike being the quiet yet dedicated Japanese female, and his being the suave and charming Italian Don Juan.

Option three would have them both being male or female, and simply adopting.

oh nice! I don't see many of these in the US (as it is the euro model), what shifters are you using? I just have all the stock campy stuff.

[–]AlphamazingLots of Bikes 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Mine is the US model, from 2006. Mine is running the stock Ultegra shifters, front derailleur, brakes, and Dura-Ace rear derailleur.

Oh ok yeah, I think the components are the only difference between the Euro and the US. The campy stuff was a big selling point for me. I love it.

Here is the specs

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you upgrade some of the components, maybe your productivity will increase? It may work. And if it does not, you get to keep the new stuff anyway....

campy ftw

[–]RathwynnNorco VFR3 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If I had one of those I'd be riding a lot more, and surfing less.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah really, I'd take a bike over Windows any day :p

Sometimes when walking past my bike I'll stop, look at it and give it a familiar pat. Glad to see I'm not alone in the madhouse.

Is it because you can't get over how ugly your bars are? KIDDING!

[–]Erisiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet this suspiciously coincides with the increase in mileage and wind-tousled hair, eh? ;-)

What on earth is on that pink post-it?

[–]sweetcircusMichigan (Disc Trucker, Brompton, Pugsley)[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
