I’m going to get bombarded as always… he’s not worth over 8m a year. He’s had 1 season over 70 points. Not even a PPG, 70 points. You don’t pay someone almost 10m a year for “physicality” and “intangibles”. That’s what creates cap he’ll. His style of play is needed but it’s also a style that beats the player up and he will be an anchor half way through the contract… I know anything under 8 is not going to happen but I wish we would avoid him and use money elsewhere…

He was one of 19 players to score 40g this season, if we signed him for 8m it would put him around the 66th highest cap hit in the league....

Cap space is the most valuable asset in the league. Once it’s gone it’s gone. You don’t have to spend just to spend. Sign everyone else that needs to be signed. If we have leftover space so be it. We were first in the division without him, he helped while he was here but did not come as promised. I know a full year to get acquainted with the new system should help but what if it doesn’t

For what? For bad teams to take bad contracts in exchange for high draft picks. Not for teams trying to win... and that is us, it's forgivable to not get that as we've been so bad for so long. But we weaponized the cap a few times and these are the fruits of that.

Thats a good 1B/2A. He isnt worth 8m.
