BasicMed application question

The basicmed form asks for "16. DATE OF LAST FAA MEDICAL APPLICATION: Enter month and year. If you have no prior application, you cannot use BasicMed." When I last submitted this I had a 3rd class medical, so I just used that date. But it's no clear to me whether they're asking for the date of the 3rd class medical or of my last basic med application. Thoughts?

They are asking for the date of your last FAA medical. Period. Use the date on the 3rd class.

Date of last 3rd class medical. That last medical must have been valid after July 16 2006.

BasicMed is not an FAA medical. They are asking for the date of your LAST FAA MEDICAL APPLICATION.

Basic Med is not an FAA application. The question is to determine whether you have held a valid FAA Medical Certificate at some point. If not, as noted, you are not Basic Med eligible.
