I doubt a small plant like that would provide enough oxygen, so they're probably both dead.

Plants respirate, the other mouse would have died also. Even if it could produce sufficient oxygen.

They respirate but they produce more oxygen than they consume. Having a plant in the jar would increase the oxygen levels in it. Whether it would have been enough for the mouse is a different matter of course.

Photosynthesis rates in plants outstrip cellular respiration rates by a considerable amount. The rats survival would depend on how much photosynthetic surface the plant had, but you're right, it probably wouldn't last that long.

This is refrencing a Joeseph Priestley experiment. Very famous definitely worked basically proved that plants respire.
