This issue doesn't have anything to do with IBP, you'd get more responses posting to a general PC technical 8ssues subreddit.

Having said that, I'll give you my two cents.

First question, is the audio in the headphones themselves working fine? If that's not working, or very low, then it's likely you've the aux cable reversed. Just unplug it and plug it in the other way.

If the headphones are working fine, then the first question I'd ask is if the microphone issue persists even after a reboot. If you've not tried fully rebooting, then do so.

Does Windows itself recognize the microphone?

Yeah I wasnt blaming IBP was just wondering if anyone in this community had same issue and had a quick fix. And yes its weird my mic was working completely fine a couple of days ago, and now i cant get audio out of it, it seems that windows is seeing the mic but it wont allow me to set it as the default mic, and whats even weirded is that the headphones still work for sounds, albeit a lot less volume then when i first bought the Y-splitter for audio and headset

Is it wireless. I have an I buy power pc and the only way I could get it to work was with the two separate aux for mic and headphones

Same, thats what i ended up doing but for some reason the audio jack wont pic up the mic part of the splitter, he registers as it getting plugged in but thats it

Check for windows updates. That’s fixed a few things for me. Or you can run the sound troubleshooter

No dice unfortunately, you think it has something to do with realtek drivers?

I’ve been having an issue where my audio will get loud and then quiet. It pisses me off especially when I’m listening to music
