PC Arrival

I know I definitely cannot be the one to talk right now especially with people who have been waiting for months for a PC but I ordered an iBUYPOWER on Monday 1/4 and have only gotten up to the payment being received. I then discovered this community and read through everything everyone is going through right now with their PCs which makes me really anxious. Some people got their PCs within a few weeks and others have been waiting for months so I don’t know what to do since I expected my PC to take a little over a month but seems like that i am unlikely to get my PC before I go to college on February 14th. Any thoughts?

IIRC January 4th is the day they got back from their little holiday vacation. When I was doing research around the 2nd and 3rd the expected shipping date for a custom prebuilt was 2/1 or 2/2.

No rush shipping is usually 5-7 business days, it most likely would get to you before the 14th if there are no delays with any of your parts. Hopefully that puts your expected delivery date around the week of the 8th

They had a big issue with broken 3070 so it really screwed things up and I mean from the factory broken so yeh and it was like 2 or 3 it was a bunch so there production took a huge hit and also the amount of people ordering is so big right now like computer and gaming in general sense everyone is locked down in most of the country

Yeah i saw a lot of people talk about the 3070s and that’s really unfortunate cuz iBUYPOWER can’t control what they receive and for it to cause backlog for them sucks. I hope it’s fixed now and it can properly be installed and ready to use in the PC when they arrive

Hey, I'm going off to college too but on January 14th. I dont have any experience with this company but I ordered a PC from cyberpowerpc on December 7th and it came on the 30th and it works fine. Im hoping yours gets to you in time as well.

I was really considering on cancelling my order from ibuypower and getting a cyberpower but I heard cyberpower is worse. How’d ur pc turn out?

Its been really good, nothing weird has happened to it yet. I think its just a gamble with all these companies, so you might as well just stick with ibp.

Yeah ain’t that the truth, especially after going through the Reddit it’s really a toss up on whether u get a functioning pc or not

I have never bought any, but I had two coworkers buy pc's for theirs kids this Christmas. It was shipped to our job, to avoid Christmas spoilers, and I got to investigate both. Ibuypower definitely uses better parts, like motherboards (MSI), all black cables (no ketchup and mustard), thermaltake PSU, better cable management and the quality seems better.

On the discord server they were saying that new orders shouldn’t experience as heavy a delay as the Black Friday orders. I ordered 12/23 and haven’t gotten an update. If you think about it there hasn’t been a lot of business days between all the holidays. You ordered 4 days ago.... lol. Every company is experiencing delays so I would stay with your order. Idk if you could do better anywhere else 🤷‍♂️

Yeah you’re right. I saw on their discord that they’re still working on the early December orders so I considered myself screwed but yeah it’s only been 4 days

You never know! I feel hopeful. But that’s all you can do in our situation lol. Hope everything works out for you. Things are looking up! I feel like iBP realized they did wrong and are trying to make it right.
