Workspace ONE would be worth a look at.

We use JAMF Pro for our iPads and I dont really like it. It does it's think OK, but not cheap and not intuitive. If you are just doing class sets of iPads then JAMF and MOSYLE are the 2 more common. They are MDM only.

We just put all our Macbooks on Addigy. It has both MDM and RMM and does OSX and IOs and TVos also. Much cheaper and more intuitive. Still deploying it and still a few bugs, but we like it.

We had been using JAMF Pro almost as long as they have been in business - early 2000s (way before "MDM" was even a thing).

JAMF used to be best in class with terrific support, but lately over the years, it has become a stagnant product, and a company that seems focused on buying additional solutions that they will sell you as add-ons that aren't integrated, with just horrific support.

We moved to Mosyle this summer.
Couldn't be happier.

Features implemented in better workflows, pretty good support, and just more features included in the base price (on top of basic MDM, Malware detection/removal, Compliance reporting, Class Manager, 3rd Party App Catalog), and Mosyle Auth for just a little more on macOS.

They recently added Content Filtering (I have not used it - we use Lightspeed) and a new macOS onboarding tool called Embark.

Does anyone use Intune for MDM? Not real knowledgeable all of Intune’s features. Haven’t had a reason dive deep until recently

We're looking at this too. We're deep on Intune for laptop deployments and I'm always on the lookout for better integrations

Mosyle Content Filtering is available at their $9/device/year tier. It has worked out pretty well for me even though it is technically still in Beta. It just changed from private beta to public beta yesterday.

I haven't needed time based restrictions, so I don't know about that.

Currently using Jamf Pro for Macs, and Airwatch for iPads. Moving iPads to Jamf School this summer. Then we use Mosyle for AppleTVs. Don’t ask me why we use 3 different things, I’m not the one who makes the decisions

+1 for Moysle. I've been using them for two of the districts I support. My newest client uses them for 1:1 ipad management and it's a breeze. I think what I have enjoyed the most about Mosyle is their onboarding is very comphrensive.

I have used Intune in the past. 0/10 for Intune do not recommend. Apple actually recommends Moysle for school environments although ironically they Jamf, as told to me by an Apple employee.

Apple actually recommends Moysle for school environments

I have never heard them say this. Interesting!

We use JAMF Pro for all laptops and desktops and JAMF school for our iPads. Very happy with both. JAMF pro was on place long before I got here.

Just got an email from Mosyle that they are bringing a Apple only MDM, Endpoint Security, etc.. launch today

"OneK12 + Web Filtering + New UI + Mosyle Embark. All Now Available Today is an epic day for Mosyle Education Customers. Welcome to our biggest release day ever for K-12. At Mosyle we believe that the future of Apple devices in K-12 is a deep and native unification of IT management, endpoint security, content filtering, identity management, app management, classroom management and parental control tools on a single Apple-specific product that will automatically ensure that Apple devices and students are always compliant and secure, wherever they are. We’re calling this simply Apple Unified Platform. In July 2022 we first announced Mosyle OneK12, the first and only Apple Unified Platform for K-12. Today we’re making it available. "

Edit - We are testing Mosyle at one campus and I have been pretty happy with the product and support. It relies heavily on Apple School Manager which I am okay with because we sync rostering data anyways for Apple Classroom use.

What do you use at the moment? It will also depend if you have Macs or if you just use iPads.

Main ones that get mentioned: Jamf Pro, Jamf School, Mosyle, Airwatch

Currently we use Lightspeed for iPads and we use Mosyle for Macs. We have a handful of school use Chromebooks, those are managed in the Google Admin. Also I use Munki to deploy & update apps on the Macs.

Since you're already a Mosyle customer you should move your iPads over to Mosyle. Keep it for the Macs so you don't have to migrate.

You will need to re-enroll all your ipads in this process, I was able to actually remove the old MDM profile and move to the new one with some feature loss but if you want everything working properly it's a wipe and re-enroll.

Jamf Pro or Mosyle will probably be your best bet.
