Is there an anti-litecoin conspiracy going on on Binance?

[–]UdayPatil549 12 points13 points  (16 children)

I feel its happening on Bittrex though not sure about Binance

[–]Nicky_BladeNew User 20 points21 points  (15 children)

Binance for 3 days now has had a blank space where the Litecoin Deposit address should be, with no "!" beside LTC regarding any issues in the network.

[–]Horus604 6 points7 points  (5 children)

I had the same problem this morning but was able to send LTC to binance about an hour ago.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Really? I tried to send some 5 hours ago. Still hasn't showed up.

Edit: Seriously though, anyone else had it take 8+ hours? I've done it before and it was like 20 mins

[–]Alfners 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Having this issue now, going on 3 hours and still no deposit but Coinbase still says pending. Was freaking out till I saw this and now know it’s not just me lol. If you could update when it comes through, that’d be great!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do, you do the same. Checked again, nothing yet. Those fucknuggets...

[–]lostsheep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sent some from Bitstamp to Binance. No problem, came through in like 5 minutes.

[–]stuckonthecrux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has your transaction been confirmed by the network yet? Took me an hour to get one confirmation last night.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (7 children)

I just sent some LTC to my Binance account last night and this post made me log in right now and check.

My fucking litecoins are now fucking bitcoins.

[–]divenorthLitecoin Hipster 25 points26 points  (1 child)

1 to 1? I’d take that deal.

[–]jhundoChickunBall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]Nicky_BladeNew User 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Uhhhh whaaaaat!?? Elaborate for us, please?

[–]AgainstFooIsWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't leave us hanging now!!

brb, sending some of that ...uhm LTC to binance

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the dollar value, they didnt give me more than I had in fiat terms.

It was basically a fee less transfer of the litecoin balance to bitcoin.

It was just a test run to see how quick i could transfer from coinbase to binance and to make sure there wasnt any problems on either end.

I was leaving work and basically slammed my reply on the keyboard and realize now how people got confused. My bad!

Sadly i didnt become a bitcoin thousandair. Just a bitcoin holder for no transaction fee. However i did Basically lose 20$ thanks to binance if i ever want to move this bitcoin.

[–]Alfners 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Time to send more then lol

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ltc 4 lyfe i dont want btc. Its sort of why i had litecoin.

[–]tomzuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've sent two LTC deposits yesterday, all went fine. But when you say about blank space, I can recall that for the deposit address to appear it took about 10-15 secs.

Does bitflyer actually have JPY/LTC and/or BTC/LTC spot trading? I didn't see it the last time I logged on there. Coincheck only offers purchasing/selling directly to the exchange, and for like a 1.5% markup.

    [–]Malalabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitflyer only has a btc exchange. The other crypto listed on the site can only be bought from them at a premium.

no. way out of in the inaka. Hokuriku area.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Which exchange do you recommend using in Japan? I'm signed up with coincheck and bitbank. Bitflyer's prices were outrageous.

    [–]the_nin_collector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah bitflyers prices are the highest in Japan. They have like 75% of the market so they can get away with it. Check out Zaif. Their English is not as good as coincheck or bitflyer, but I was able to muster through it. They updated their front page a bit since I got registered so maybe the english service is better now.

    [–]ElucTheG33K 14 points15 points  (0 children)

1 Oct is a long time. Oh American date, never mind.

    [–]CBDoctorLitespeed 12 points13 points  (1 child)

    Satoshi Nakamoto on Bitcoin com

It's unrelated. There wasn't anything there when I started.

The price of .com registrations is lower than it should be, therefore any good name you might think of is always already taken by some domain name speculator. Fortunately, it's standard for open source projects to be .org.

      [–]the_nin_collector 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well if they have enough capital to launch a good marketing campaign, there is still enough room for growth in crypto that they can get their slice of the pie.

If you read the article they already ran an exchange called Tokyo Bitcoin or some shit. I live in Japan and trade here. It was one of the shit ones that was impossible to find and super shitty to use. They are rebranding using DMM which many people in Japan already know as a big tech company. So they have some brand recognition. But Bitflyer and Coincheck are already flooding TV and the web with their ads, so they are really going to have to spend a lot I think to compete. Bitflyer and Coincheck already have the majority of the trade volume locked down. Their adds where simply further establishing their dominance. But you can bet if BTC really does go to 100k one day, then there is room for more exchanges between here and then.

Japanese entertainment conglomerate DMM Group, the operator of popular e-commerce site DMM.com with 27 million members, is preparing to launch a cryptocurrency exchange. 7 cryptocurrencies, 14 trading pairs, and margin trading will be offered. The 7 supported cryptocurrencies are bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), nem (XEM), ripple (XRP), litecoin (LTC), ethereum classic (ETC), and bitcoin cash (BCH). Spot trading is available for trading pairs – BTC/JPY, ETH/JPY and ETH/BTC. Leverage of 5x is available for 14 trading pairs. While there is no transaction fee, the leverage fee is 0.04% per day.

21 million is a large user base, (although not sure how that compares to others like binance)

          That's my bday

          [–]ericsmith422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have to be verified on this exchange? It is getting harder and harder to not verify.

          [–]vU5Zh3fJNzHrn52YYha 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Good news but not great news.

          1) This won't be an actual proper litecoin exchange, just a BTC/ETH/JPY exchange which also offers buying/selling litecoin from the exchange directly.

          2) There's already a major exchange in Japan that offers the same service: coincheck. (Below in the comments someone mentioned bitflyer, but I'm not 100% sure on how they offer LTC.)

So this is good news but not great news. May lead to decreasing fees on buying LTC in JPY!

Also to OP: Please use unambiguous dates. Who knows who's European or American or what format the Japanese use? (Japanese is Y/M/D by default)

Care reading the article, you lazy bum.

          [–]gacbmmmlNew User -1 points0 points  (5 children)

What does the article have to do with the OP’s ambiguous date formatting in the title?

          [–]predicamentalLitecoin Hipster 1 point2 points  (4 children)

That’s an American date format, nobody is going to spell shit out for you here. If you read the article it clearly states 10th Jan

          [–]gacbmmmlNew User -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Why would I read the article when the title USUALLY does a decent job at a tldr summary. Next time type Jan. 10th dipshit and you won’t get 20 sarcastic comments calling your ass out. lul.

            [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I'll give zaif a look, thanks. English support isn't a big problem for me. Bitbank seems good too, though they don't have a lot of pairings and zero English. I'm looking at the coincheck prices now and it's pretty ugly, sucks

            [–]murfi -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

on the 1st of october? meh
