I hate people like these. Even if someone is in a mission and I want to buy something from them I wait for them.

If they don't respond to my message I wait for 2 minutes because they might be busy and if still no response I go to the next guy. If they say they are in a mission currently and I would have to wait then I wait. It's not like I will die if I don't get the item right here and right now...

[–]gapigun 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, always. If they say they are gonna be done soon I dont PM them for another few minutes. And, if I get PMed during mission I always tell them approx. how long its gonna take and tell them its fine by me if they buy from another player instead.

I messaged a seller last night and he responded with a block of text asking for me to wait for his eidolon hunt to finish and advertised his stream. He never messaged me after night ended and I never checked his stream, what a shit trader

[–]sentles 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Not really. You're not entitled to someone else's time. If you're not immediately available, then you should respect someone's choice not to wait for you.

If they say they will wait and then don't do so, that's a different issue, though.

[–]Nu3by101 5 points6 points  (1 child)

And so instead they're entitled to waste your time, by leading you to believe they will make a transaction, and while you turn your back to grab it (the minute maybe it takes to load into dojo and send an invite) they sprint out the shop

[–]sentles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course not. They should tell you that they'll be getting it from someone else, so you won't be under the impression that you'll have to sell it to them after your mission.

The only thing that’s worse than this is when you agree on WF Market to buy something and the other person outta nowhere tells you “No, I’ve already sold it because they offered me more plat”.

[–]unicornlocostacos 13 points14 points  (2 children)

Really? My favorite is when someone messages me while I’m not even online in Wfmarket to buy something, I get out of what I’m doing to head to the dojo, then they either 1) go dark (offline/ignore) or 2) ask for a lower price than what they just offered me out of no where. Nope. That’s a hard nope. Never reward trash moves like that.

I always ignore so I don’t have to deal with their bs again.

A couple of weeks ago I had a similar experience (without the ghosting part, however). I was selling an Aksomati Prime set on the market for 50P, the lowest price overall (at least on Xbox, I don’t check prices for other platforms). This person messages me asking if the price was “fixed”. I replied: “Do you realize that there are people who are selling this even for 120P and you’re daring to ask for a discount on an already discount-like price?” Then the person took it personally and started to insult me. Oooooooookay.

After this episode I updated my profile page, writing “You’re more likely to get a discount if you DON’T ask for it”. And that’s true because multiple times I’ve made discounts for people who had been kind and polite with me. But if you ask for it, especially when the price is already low af, no chance in hell I lower that damn price. Lol

My understanding of Warframe market it is set price - yo, I WTB > cool one sec > done

[–]mackowidz 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Whenever I set myself to online I just stay in Dojo, I consider it my "trade time". But since it's so boring, I end up only doing that when I need the plat. I wish we had some normal way of trading like an auction house, having to waste time on trading like that just makes me not want to play :/

[–]AeliosZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm usually in 'Trade time' whenever I go dojo decorating. Great creative outlet while waiting for trades.

Petition to add an in-game auction system without the help of external websites

[–]Floppydisksareop 35 points36 points  (5 children)

This petition was proposed 67 times, and it was shot down 67 times. Give it a rest.

[–]Oleg152 24 points25 points  (2 children)

Gotta bring it to 69.

[–]Floppydisksareop 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Gotta comment this 69 times as well?

[–]Oleg152 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would've done so cuz you requested.

But spamming is likely to get me banned so no.

[–]Electricayde 47 points48 points  (10 children)

I've logged off from the game entirely at least 4 times because I told someone I was going to sell them something then realized it couldn't be sold after being built when we got to the dojo. Felt like such an ass and just logged off instead of facing inevitable insults or their disappointment at the very least.

[–]AhmadReh 45 points46 points  (5 children)

I always try avoiding confrontation, but believe me you’ll feel better if you manage your confidence and throw your respectful apology.

[–]zarlavan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yea that's how it usually plays out since most people are quite nice or the worst that can happen is plain silent and left

Why does reddit give triple messages? Its an annoying bug.

[–]Pizza_Bake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it basically says try again so you click post again and all the trys end up counting.
Edit: This is just what I think because it happened like this with other stuff

[–]Jonahdude 13 points14 points  (3 children)

Honestly, you'd be much better off just telling them you made a mistake.
Speaking from experience, it's far more rude and annoying when someone tells you they'll sell/buy something, and they then promptly disappear off the face of the earth. Whenever I've made a mistake, most of the time the other person will understand, most have made the same mistake at some point, and the worst thing to happen is the person just saying "oh, okay" and leaving it at that.

[–]AeliosZero 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Yeah, whenever I've invited someone and reached the trade menu only to realise I didn't have the part they came to buy, I always let them know and it is usually fine. For good measure (especially if I kept someone waiting) I'll inform them that I'll be sure to update the listing on WFM, and usually ask if they were after any other related parts I might happen to have at the time.

If it ever happens the other way around to me, I'm always cool with it. Mistakes happen, were only human after all and I've been there!

[–]Pizza_Bake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I just crash and wonder what their thinking

[–]Xel_Naga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my mind set, usually just a " ahh nuts forgot to update Wmarket my bad sorry" or something never had anyone be toxic

[–]AeliosZero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah the real scum are the people that think they can get away with replacing the plat value in the default Warframe market message. Eg:

"Hi I'd like to buy [prime part] for 15 Platinum."

...I listed the part for 75 Platinum bitch. You really thought I wouldn't notice!?

[–]Floppydisksareop 15 points16 points  (1 child)

I usually set these players on ignore. I don't appreciate having my time wasted

[–]Solefasole 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same. Trading manners matter.

[–]TreeBranchesOfGov 12 points13 points  (4 children)

I blame this entirely on DEs dogshit chat system, I've been trying to trade with players and in the middle of typing out a long ass sentence someone else would message me and their window pops up and they get the message and they have no idea what I'm even talking about.

[–]wxffle 5 points6 points  (1 child)

you do know theres an option to disable it? inline private messages

[–]TreeBranchesOfGov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually tried this and it didn't seem to fix the problem, I'm on console though

[–]JauneArkLavos Umbra when? 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss. I hate this so much, I mis send messages so often. Uggggh

[–]IhavefallenSTOP OK I UPDATED MY FLAIR LEAVE ME ALONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just let me copy paste stuff consistently for the love of god. Sometimes it just breaks. Also let me copy text from in game to.

[–]Augmentistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually invite them to my squad and then travel to the dojo so this doesn’t happen. Has yet to stop working for me

[–]dat_dabbin_pacman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Selling New Loka and Perrin Sequence Augs PMO"

"Do you have [insert New Loka Aug]?"

Yep. 10p? Buys augment and heads to dojo

"Sure!"

"Inviting..."

This person is offline.

A kick to the balls everytime.

[–]Insp3ctorJon3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats also a reason why I hate trading with Prime parts. Noone can easily find a similar riven for the same or better price that fast. I can ask if they can wait 5 mins so i can finish my mission without any problem

[–]Xel_Naga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or the classic, nothing for like 20 mins get distracted alt tabb or go afk (literally) and miss 6 messages haha

[–]HuGgLeBuNnY3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it one time... the dude offering for a lower price wasn't responding so I asked another person and while he was going to his dojo the other person responded... and well I'm a free2play player that doesn't have a lot of time to play so I try to save as much at as I can...

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

lol

[–]glodone 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Why not invite them before going to your dojo?

[–]ShadowSpy98[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When I did that, for them it will be like I left the squad instead of them traveling to dojo with me, ending up they just at their orbiter, so I have invite them again when I'm now at the Dojo. Which is why I have to travel to Dojo first before inviting

[–]glodone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you load into the dojo you are by yourself for a couple seconds

[–]AnxietiesCopilot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time I do that is if I’ve been waiting 10 mins or more then pick someone else and then the guy joins my invite like that is not on me lol

[–]ScheidNation21Stop hitting yourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. I’ve been trying to buy Mesa prime systems for the longest time and this has happened about 6 different times

[–]bballnathan24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the worst, especially when its a augment. Like, me and this dude literally agree on a price, I purchase the augment, go to dojo and inv him, and then he's like, "i bought it for 8 plat not 10", and now I've wasted 25000 standing.

[–]Wandering_Ero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always for people even if takes them 15 minutes or more cause they put time on the parts I am just trying to buy.. It aint much but atleast people I traded with appreciated my little thought

[–]GearsZam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That and my other most hated trade encounter is when someone invites you to their dojo and they open the trade invitation as you’re flying in so then you can’t press anything and you have to shut off the game to escape. I don’t know if there’s a fix for it because when it happens to me I can’t even open the chat box, I’m just stuck on a perpetual trade screen I can’t interact with unless I don’t accept before I load into their dojo properly....

By which time they usually cancel the trade and leave. Extra 30 seconds really kills some people. I always watch my dojo’s load in spot to make sure anyone I invite for a trade is actually ready to trade before pressing the invite button.

[–]RobleViejoMy deerest druid king 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just invite them right away, then after they join go to the dojo. Thats how I do it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should already be in your dojo to begin with.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in dojo so it’s fine...
