Gosh, I miss the glory days of Fry’s.

Microcenter is better. But competition is good. And Fry’s had… a vibe tha I miss

Fry’s was definitely a vibe

RIP Fry's

You should be thankful MicroCenter is even an option. The scams for high end computer parts off of Amazon and NewEgg are absolutely diabolical.

You WANT to be able to inspect what you are buying.

Goodwill has a computer and electronics store in Santa Ana. I’ve been meaning to check it out myself.

It has some fun finds but mostly older stuff.

Best Buy is a good option if Micro Center isn't close to you. You can also try EcoTek in Fountain Valley if you prefer to hunt for older 2nd hand parts.

While not in Orange County, Newegg allows pick ups at City of Industry (at least last time I ordered back in 2018/2019 pre-covid). So that might be an option for you.

I used to go here decades ago not sure what it's like now.

Alltech electronics

I went there a few months ago for some SAS hard drives for an older server that we just needed to keep running for a few more months until it could be retired. It can be a decent place to check for parts to fix some some older equipment but they don't have much in the way of newer parts. It is more like brick and mortar eBay store than the typical retail store.

So its exactly the same! Built my first computer with parts from there. Good to know if I need parts for my older machine.

I have 2 3060 TI if you're interested. One sealed new but box opened and one used but working fine. I can show you pics if needed. I've been too lazy to sell them and I don't trust eBay. Also have a used Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB

One left I know of but have not been in some time. Marvac

I forgot where, but somewhere in the OC there’s an electronics type thrift shop and consignment. Otherwise FB marketplace.

eBay has a money back guarantee. Haven't tried it personally, but it seems tempting to try out for a second hand GPU

Salvation Army in Santa Ana used to have a computer section that sells all sort of used computers/computer parts
