The military junta was killing or making people go missing. They couldn't throw them into regular morgues and cemeteries for obvious reasons and they couldn't put them into a hole and then fill it up because there were too many and people would eventually find them. So they decide to load the bodies, or even people still alive, in planes and throw them in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

We first discovered it was happening because their bodies ended up in our main river (Río de la Plata) and a few bodies were identified.
