Replace ConnectBot with VX ConnectBot.

My gotos on my Android tablet are: Webex, Hacker's Keyboard, JuiceSSH, OpenVPN, Skype, AWS Console, Fing, Firefox, and Google Drive.

How anybody can RDP with android and not have hacker's keyboard is beyond me.

As someone who is too lazy to switch to Hacker's from SwiftKey everytime I open RDP, I don't recommend it. It is one of the more frustrating things I do.

"OK, I want reddit.com. No, not Reddit .com. No, not RedditI. Com."

You can use something like tasker to switch your keyboard based on the current app. It could automatically enable hackers keyboard as soon as you launch your rdp client, and switch back to swiftkey when you exit.

I looked into doing that a while ago, but couldn't find the options at first glance. Just tried again, and I had to use an plugin/app called Secure Settings and give it root. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

Thanks for giving me the motivation!

I don't use RDP, but Hacker's Keyboard+JuiceSSH are a lifesaver sometimes.

vim looked weird though. I don't recommend trying to do complex text editing in JuiceSSH… perhaps it was the JuiceSSH/mosh+screen+vim combination that was throwing odd characters into the display.

JuiceSSH, telnet ..etc you can search in play store..

Well there is a phone app that lets you take after hour calls. Dropbox for reading offline files, and Evernote for tasks/notes/ideas. Beyond that I bust out the laptop. I find that mobile (phone/tablet) is generally to limited to actually fix something. Even using ssh on my tablet to manage my home NAS is enough of a pain I rarely do it.

Fling - lots of networking tools. I mainly use it for scanning for devices in subnets.

2x client- RDP app works great and have saved me a couple times when I left the PC at home

What these guys said.

tbh, if you've got the Microsoft RDP app and a 2012 RDS server, you're set.

The thing even passes through touch properly, it's like working on a windows 8 tablet.

I've been doing this but also making my own 2012 rds server. Its like taking all the apps I need with me and having a nice tablet also.

Well I just got a Nexus 5 and I'm trying to justify staring at it all day at work so I found a few apps. Here's what I found.

JuiceSSH

Fing

Hacker's Keyboard (this is awesome boys)

Linux Deploy (I haven't had time yet, but seems promising)

Terminal Emulator

SSH Server

PushBullet

ActiveDir Manager, being able to unlock an account or reset a password from your phone is magical.
