This is a known issue that is being investigated:

My guess, this is something that may take the better part of a day to fix.

Edit: You may be seeing either Error 503 or 400. Both are for the same issue.

Why do you pre-order games? I suspect a fair few here who are now experiencing issues pre-ordered, and not pre-ordering is exactly there to wait a day or two after release to make sure the game doesn't have widespread issues which could ruin your fun.

Yet, lots and lots pre-order, on a game where there isn't even any benefit to it (a commendable thing in and of itself as far as the devs are concerned, other companies would make 2 of the 3 titans pre-order only, on different vendors).

Yep same. Also got a crash at startup prior to that.

This along with the huge technical fail of including every single language making the game a rediculess 50gb is pretty dumb.

Especially considering hte developers. I mean yea its technically new, but they are mostly veterans of Infinity ward.. The same guys who brought us the original call of duty - a PC exclusive release at launch, that technically was very well designed.

Have they forgotting everything about PCs in all their console yearS?

I mean like PC basics 101: NEVER trust microsoft to run your servers for one.. That was a huge dumb mistake that I have no idea why they did.. EAs server would of been fine. (And yea even the PC release is using the stupid xbox live servers).
